I’m on day 5 of a migraine. I went to my doctor yesterday and she put me off work for the week but staying in dark places sucks. And isn’t entirely possible when I still have a 4yr old to care for.

cheeksmum sorry you have been dealing with that! Taking care of of kids while you feel terrible is the worst. Hopefully you have someone who can help you out a little!

cheeksmum that sounds miserable. I hope your migraine goes away soon. When I got home the H said he was going to make chicken for dinner. I guess my face said I don’t want that. When I told him i only want Mexican food. He was like that’s all you wanted last time too..... 🤷♀️ So now my belly is full (after starving all day no matter what i ate) and I’m exhausted on the bed at 6 pm.

Today we ran into Walmart for only a tarp and a shovel. Do you think people questioned my intentions?
We added compost and some top soil and peet moss to the garden today so this weekend we should be good to transfer some of our seedlings! On a side note, Dollar Tree has some really cute garden fairy stuff so we grabbed a bunch to make DD her own garden area in the yard.

cheeksmum that sounds downright awful. Im sorry. I’m guessing there’s nothing rx you can take? We woke up to snow on the ground this morning 😑 It was all melted by 10am and it’s gonna be 60 tomorrow, but I just really. Want. Spring. Our little tomato seedlings are sprouting! Today one of DS’s aftercare aids asked if I was pregnant. I feel like that’s...never a safe question. What if I’d been like, “no”?

I have no problem with chicken (I got a chicken burrito) in things but they thought of eating a chicken leg was terrible.

brenna I’m the same way about red meat and cooked veggies. Something about the smell/texture is super off putting to me right now. I still steam veggies for DD and they make me gag.

I have a couple carryover personal days from 2017 that expire at the end of March so I took today off from work. I'm dropping DS off at daycare then headed shoe shopping for my brother's wedding in June. I'm pretty picky so I always have to start early.
Trying to decide if I'll be ok in heels at 24 weeks or if I need to buy something shorter and get my dress hemmed. Shorter is probably safer I guess.

I just finished my NT scan, we won’t get the results for a bit but at least we got to see baby! Measuring 3 days ahead! Yay!

I am having a hard time keeping up lately. I'm reading along, I just haven't had time to react and comment as I'd like to. Then I just get further behind! Yesterday was an awful day for me too (seems like it was a rough day for a few of us). I was up feeling sick to my stomach most of the night before, and was sick all day yesterday. I'm not even sure if I was actually sick somehow, or just pregnant sick....maybe some gross combination. Still not feeling great today, but better than yesterday at least. Quite certain I'm a bit dehydrated and I have the headache to go along with that. It's odd to randomly get sicker during week 11 when things should be getting easier, but maybe this is like a last hoorah or something? Ugh - one can hope.
I'll try to get back through here soon to join the conversations better.
Is anyone else getting excited to start HDBD?! I'm still 98% bloat, but I'm excited to see some growing bumps in probably the next few weeks!

Cooked veggies right now are not allowed at my house haha. I feel bad because I'm not eating pretty much any veggies, but veggies make my nausea so bad right now. 🤢

Nymeria Maybe wedges would be more comfy than heels? Especially if there are any outdoor/walking on grass components... tbirdlove I really think my nausea gave me a “last hurrah” right around 11 weeks before it started dying down. So awful. Hope you feel better soon.

getdownplease this gives me hope! Thank you! I randomly threw up with my DS right around 12 weeks too. I thought it was really odd then too as I had been feeling better. Pregnancy is sooo weird.

Thanks for the commiseration. I was somewhat expecting migraines to show up as I had them with DS but not to this extent. getdownplease, according to my doctor the only thing I can take is Tylenol. So I’ve been taking it here and there but it only takes the edge off. Thankfully we seem to be on the way out, this morning was bad but I’m feeling pretty good now. We had our NT scan today and got to see a bouncing little baby. LO did not want to stay still but they got the measurements they need so it was good. Add me to the team of no veggies. They’re just not appetizing right now... tbirdlove I hope that’s the last hurrah and you feel better soon.

cheeksmum sorry for the migraine. I hope you are on the mend. Congrats on the good scan. @tbirdlive sounds like a really rough night. Glad you are feeling a little better. I was just thinking if HDBD bcI remembered I started bump pics at 8 weeks with my first. Should probably think what I’m going to do this time around. I hope everyone has a nice weekend. I plan to sleep and hopefully not puke to much 😆

I'm also team veggies mostly suck. I can do peas and corn mixed in without her things, nothing roasted or steamed though. Oh and raw carrots slathered in ranch.
And pork oh man I can't handle pork. So gross.

My neck, shoulders and upper back are so tense and messed up from sleeping so oddly every night. Laying down flat makes me feel sick at night, so I need to stay propped up somehow. But I'm a side sleeper, so I'm sleeping all weird propped up sideways. After the first tri sickness passes I am getting a prenatal massage.

tbirdlove good idea on the prenatal massage. My DH had to sleep propped up for a while due to some sinus issues so he bought a wedge pillow that worked pretty well. I used it for a bit too earlier in first tri when I was stuffed up from a cold and didn’t want to take anything. I’m also a side sleeper- I think no matter what you do it does feel weird to sleep propped up.

We've been working on making a fun garden area for DD and the girl I nanny. It's been a lot of fun and I've been way too deep into Pinterest. My SO started making a slate board for chalk and water painting for one side of the garden nook. We have a bunch of fairy garden stuff set up, and I painted some cement stepping stones to create a hop scotch walk path. We also used a pink fence we had in DD's room to make a border around the area. I'm way too excited for this garden. Possibly more so than my veggesfable garden.

Does anyone have a favorite pregnancy app? Last time I was on TB, and it's ok, but wondering if there is a better one 3 years later. Also, all the articles seem to be pointed toward FTMs...

I have Ovia and Baby Center and I read TB's weekly info online. I feel like they all are kinda repeat info this time.
