Hi. We went spent the night at my sisters this weekend... which by the way peachsmama she lives 3 blocks from the children’s museum so I TOTALLY could have met you there!! 😉 Did they tell you the weight estimate of the baby wineallthetime?? I can’t believe this happened! I’m so glad you are at a great hospital with a PICU! I hope L gets over her bug quickly... bad timing L! They didn't say exactly but the baby is measuring small.

Happy first day @peachesmama! guster are they packing you? That seems excessive. No, they're not. He said he doesn't like his guys to work more than eight or nine hours. I totally get that, but then why not send a different crew out to unload the truck? I wouldn't care to stay in a hotel overnight, but our cat would not make that. He's barely going to make the move as is. He's such a nervous Nelly

Morning! DH was sick last night - must have been something he ate because we didn't do much day drinking - so we never left the hotel after returning around 4 for a nap. I didn't mind, we still have another night so I just enjoyed relaxing.
Our electricity finally came back on over night, so my ILs - who both took today off - brought the kids back to pack lunch before daycare. They're checking all the food and heaters and cleaning everything we couldn't in the dark on Friday, then I assume resting from their unexpectedly crazy weekend. I'm so thankful for them, they seemed to roll with it and the boys seemed happy when we called yesterday. We owe them, big time!!

Hi everyone. Sadly I am back to work, back to reality today. So it’ll be a day of catching up on outlook emails. We were home yday so thankfully I already took care of grocery shopping, unpacking and laundry.
B was really excited to go back to school. She ran off into the drop off room while I was still hanging up her coat.

I’m trying! I have coworkers going to Houston and San Antonio this spring but there was nothing for support staff. I will get there eventually for sure! Sounds like you need to try a little harder!!!!

Good morning, My nerves are shot and it's only 10:45. B burned his fingers on the iron this morning and was afraid to tell me about it, poor kid, we were running late, and then I caused a stir at preschool drop-off this morning (re: the field trip today). Just fired off an email to the director, but I still haven't calmed down. Wondering what is an acceptable time to have a drink while caring for a child. eta: I am SO glad we are switching schools next year. Just trying to keep my eyes on the prize.

guster having moved a zillion times in recent years, I agree that 2 days seems excessive if they're not packing everything, too. My aunt did a cross-town move last year from a 3500sf house (with 3 kids and all the accompanying stuff) and it was done in one full day. wineallthetime Hope you can eat soon!! Glad the contractions have eased up. Just hang out and let mama relax, little wine-baby. joelies Glad the power was restored and your ILs are doing well with the kids! At least today they get a nice break while the boys are at DC. Safe travels wedding and lfig! Also, I will stand up for tulips, I love them. Fresh Market sells them this time of year and I try to keep some in the kitchen.

I like ‘softer’ less structured flowers for lack of a better word, more wildflowers, peonies, anemones etc. I have fresh flowers about 80% of the time in my home.

Tulips are one of my favorites. Love them. flamingo what happened at drop-off? Hope B's finger is feeling better soon. Burns are so sad. I'm still fuming but will try and keep it brief. As y'all may remember from the fall, they have parents drive/chaperone class field-trips. I was able to go on the last one but could not attend this one, as it was very last-minute and I couldn't get a sitter for C. I know more of the other moms now and felt more comfortable with him carpooling than I did a few months back. When we got to school, B's teacher told me he would be driving with another student's grandfather, who I don't know at all. So that kind of had me, "ehhhh..." Then I find out that student--who B is buddies with--will be driving with her mom. So B is going to be alone w/ Grandpa? But wait, it gets better...I see a youngish man come in and am like, "Who's that?" Oh, that's same student's UNCLE, he's also going to attend also and drive with Grandpa. So B is going to be put into a car with no other children and two strangers?? What the actual F---. Who the hell thinks this is OK? I was polite and respectful but was basically like, "No, this is not happening." and it caused some ruffled feathers. It got worked out but I didn't appreciate being put in that position, and it was doubly awkward b/c uncle and grandpa were roaming around, and I know they overheard me talking to the teacher, etc. I don't really care, b/c it's my kid and I don't even know them, but honestly it shouldn't have even gotten to that point.

Thank you for also thinking it's excessive. He was wonderful. Really took the time to talk to me about packing and moving and offering tons of tips and tricks ( he shared far too much on his personal life and stories about his cats), but he did show me how to take the blank news print I ordered and wrap my stemware and my china safely. I can't imagine that it would take two days, so I'm curious what the next company will say.

I'm off monitors, got to eat and they doubled my anxiety meds! I also put on a comfy tunic and leggings and we went for a walk. Plus, I'm done with the painful steroid shots in the butt to help the babies lungs develop. Things are looking up in wine-ville!

Poor B, flamingo. Just out of curiosity, does he know how to iron himself? Because we still have trouble sometimes putting on a shirt over here. Eta: and I'm definitely talking about Josie

flamingo that is very weird! At least let the kid ride with grandpa too (my kid would probably prefer it anyways...) glad it was resolved.

Id tear that down, flamingo. That's insane that a teacher or director would think that is okay.

Poor B, flamingo . Just out of curiosity, does he know how to iron himself? Because we still have trouble sometimes putting on a shirt over here. Eta: and I'm definitely talking about Josie Ha, no, I haven't put him to work starching his button-downs yet I had the iron heating up and I guess he was curious and ignored years of my warnings and touched it while I was with C. Fortunately it was just a tiny blister on 2 fingers, but he was initially afraid to tell me b/c he thought I'd be mad at him. After a few minutes I think it hurt enough that he couldn't take it anymore and confessed (I wasn't mad, obviously). We put spray on it and bandaged it and he was fine. He was so afraid his teacher would see it and ask about it, IDK what that was all about. I think he was embarrassed. Poor kid. Lesson learned, I guess...this will hopefully be the first and last time he touches the iron.

I figured it was something like that, flamingo, but never know, some of these kids can do amazing things already. I'm glad he's okay!
