March is here. Almost spring!

I’m hoping March will be better than February.
I will start BCPs soon and take them until a couple days after we get back from vacation, so about 2.5 weeks or so. BCPs suck less than the alternative of a 40+ day cycle (will waste less time). So that’s my boring update

Yea I’m headed for a 45 day cycle myself. I hope March is better for all of us!

orangehibiscus Not yet. I’m getting another progesterone draw Tuesday so we’ll see what he says after he’s sure I’ve o’d. (Which I have, he just needs to see the blood work lol.)

Yay March! I'm like 95% sure I O'd over the weekend which makes me SUPER excited after an 80 day cycle. This means we'll be moving on to our first IUI at the very end of this month/beginning of April. The relief of moving forward almost counteracts all the fear

Talked to the nurse again today. My progesterone was at 7 so definitely o’d but still kinda low. So my RE wants to do the same dose of femara, but we’re going to add a trigger and mid cycle monitoring and also will be checking progesterone again. He also still wants a baseline so a minimum of 3 appointments. I am happy with this plan. Bare minimum I will be getting more info about what my ovaries are doing!
I am guessing I will get my period either Saturday or Sunday, just in time for spring break and my MIL coming to visit! This will be our last shot at a 2018 baby. Crazy how time passes.

obscureference, you don't have to answer if you don't want to, but can you remind me of your IF history?

I am cd 11, was on clomid for days 3-7. I had some follicles growing, but they were still small on day 9, and my lining was shit. I knew that was a risk so might have to try femara. I am going back Monday to see what is happening. In the mean time, I’m taking vitamin e and drinking pomegranate juice to try to juice up my lining by Monday.

charliefox , We have been TTC for 20 cycles, 4 with the RE. I am 41. {TW: LC mentioned}We have 3 children that were conceived without intervention which is why we tried so long without seeking help. I guess I’m just too old now!

I guess I’m just too old now! Thanks for sharing. I guess I was just trying to get a better idea as to why you were doing what you're doing with the RE (Femara alone) etc. Are you having trouble ovulating or do they think egg quality might be low? Either way, glad you have a plan in place that you are comfortable with! I know very well it can be hard to dive into treatment. {TW: LC mentioned} I know that secondary IF comes with it's own special set of emotions (I have a 2.5 yo DS) so if you ever need to talk feel free to PM me. <3

charliefox I think my RE was hoping we could just up the targets a little to give us a bit of a higher chance each month. He’s told me that all of my numbers look great and that he would expect them from a woman 10 years younger than me, BUT my AMH is really low which is a bit of a head scratcher. The femara has actually made my ovulation less reliable. Which sucks! My youngest is only just over 2, so it’s not like I’m a stranger to AMA. It is super frustrating to have been successful in the past and now seemingly all of a sudden it just won’t happen. I’m sure you understand that all too well!

Oh and when I met with the RE initially I told him I didn’t want to do much in the way of treatments. So that is probably part of the slow approach as well! I just never imagined it would take this long. As I’m sure all of you have said to yourselves, too.

Still waiting on AF. Not happy about that. I just want her to show so I can get started on another cycle where I actually have a chance to be pregnant.....

Sorry I’ve been MIA recently. Work has been insane! I’m sorry the meds didn’t work obscureference! I’m glad you’re adding in some things for next cycle. I hope your period starts ASAP! Sorry you’re lining wasn’t good hoosiermama76! Do you know why they wanted you to use Clomid since you’ve had thin lining issues in the past? Did your lining get any thicker?

Hi everyone! Just trying to get acquainted since I expect us to start IUI soon, hopefully next cycle. My RE is on vacation for spring break, so unfortunately this month we’re just on progesterone suppositories.
Question - my RE has me taking CoQ10 with my prenatal, and I think it’s giving me heartburn and anxiety. Has this happened to anyone else?

orangehibiscus, they had me do Clomid because I asked to try something to give me more than one follicle. I only have one:( and my lining is the worst ever. We are still proceeding if I want to. We are about to move down the embryo donor/adoption route so I will probably go for it if my lining is above a six. I have no idea how my has been before treatments and it’s been a full year of invasive ones so it may mean just giving myself a break. LC mentioned/TW I don’t know what my lining was when I became pregnant with my daughter successfully, so I may just have a thin one.

Bluebird, I love COQ10. I didn’t have those two symptoms. Just a little insomnia at first.

Welcome Bluebird! Sorry your RE is on vacation. I’ve never been on CoQ10, so I can’t answer that. I hope your heartburn and anxiety go away soon! Gotcha hoosiermama76. I hope your lining cooperates so you can still move forward with this cycle.

Hi Bluebird ! I didn’t notice any symptoms when I started taking coq10. How much are you taking and are you taking it with food? hoosiermama76 I’m sorry about the thin lining 300mg at night with my prenatal. Probably should be taking it in the morning instead, with food, in hindsight. I feel so much better after not taking it for a couple of days though that I’m nervous to try again.

You will feel a lot better if you take it in the morning, but if you feel bad, I wouldn’t take it at all. If I take it in the am, I’ll be able to sleep. Side effects get better over time.

Bluebird Yea I would definitely try morning with food and then if it’s still bad stop altogether? Or maybe ask your RE? AF finally showed last night. Hooray! Baseline on Friday.

CD1 over here, onto our first IUI cycle! Ultrasound scheduled for the 26th, which is cd13. I'm a little nervous, in the past I usually O between CD14-18 but have been known to O earlier (including this last cycle). FX my body doesn't jump the gun!

Hey ladies! Sorry I've been so MIA recently. I've had the flu, pink eye, norovirus, and a head cold, and have just been trying to stay alive. ??? I'm finally feeling better though (minus the RA flare that I'm treating with prednisone). I should be starting my period any day now, and then we'll be on our first medicated cycle (clomid) + trigger and IUI. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time. This isn't anything new for me, so I pretty much know how I'll react to it all, but I'm really just hoping it will work. I've lost almost 15lbs since we last tried, and I'm working on losing more.
