I don't think there was a formal invitation process, I just followed the links that got posted.
I don't know where I fit in the tcf heirarchy, reg, semi-reg, lurkerish, but I didn't feel like there was any intentional exclusion of anyone.
I don't know if that helps, but i really hope we all end up in the same place.

It was gonna be politics at first but SM went dark. It's for everyone and tons are already there. Wherever we go long term I have to use tapatalk and i couldn't find this one on there

Admin McBenny I think that this may be a better solution for long term, but for today we're all drinking on the general board of the politics board. It was more of a "how many proboards logins do I have to make today" than a not going to come here. There was no formal invite. I never got tagged either. I just saw the link.

I think the problem is there were so many threads discussing the same thing. So the link got posted some places but not others because it's crazy to try to keep up. |

I've seen the link posted in a couple of different places but I never followed it before because I don't participate much in the politics thread. I have seen it though. I've registered here and there and will go wherever everyone else goes, but I can't imagine a board without mcbenny.

AmyG and Admin is there a limit to the number of Admins and Mods a site can have? I'm drafting up a proposal for next steps that I'll post today or tomorrow so we can sort out the goals of the next week.

brux there doesn't appear to be any limits. AT this point it's all up to mcb and there's some take first volunteer that steps up going on(I mean she chose me cause I said I would, lol) Watch it with too many goals and steps. I don't think Admin mcb is so interested in this being business plan like tcf ya know? step 1 find everyone step 2 make them a place to post step 2.5 -add a few boards but don't go crazy adding boards til there are people here that will actually use them. no ghost boards just cause we've always had them and they were never used. step 3 triple check nobody is left behind. step 4 de-stress, drink some more, party, scream at the wind, laugh at scarymommy some more, clean my house etc. step 5 then maybe we can fix/create some things to make this place run smoother. the buttons we are used to etc. I don't mean goals like that. I mean trying to manage the expectations of 1,000 people. Who will admin, is it fair, what will an admin actually be allowed to do, how will decisions get made, etc. Like the shit that made no one ever want to Admin a site. And that made all posters scream at admins. |
