Appointments: Just had an appointment yesterday. 3 more to go!

Symptoms: Carpal tunnel, sore vag, cramps, and now my boobs are sore too

Rants/Raves/Vents: So grateful for a little relief last night from the hand and wrist pain.

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why?
Spring, because of all the new grass, flowers, etc and of course warmer weather.

Rants/Raves/Vents: I’m a mother. Still hasn’t really sunk in yet. MH is a natural and it’s so amazing to watch.

Rants/Raves/Vents: So my MW ordered a growth u/s for my next appt because I’m measuring a few weeks behind and to check baby’s position. I don’t want to go down a google spiral so can anyone tell me why I could be measuring behind? DS1 was an average size babe.

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why? I really like all seasons and live in a place where we have 4 distinct seasons. I guess I’m always most excited for spring though. Especially with a toddler because it means we can do things outside again.

polson i had the same reaction when baby got to that size. Try harder, Ovia, there has to be a better size equivalent than a half baking sheet.

I always measure ahead with fundal height, but my babies have all been average size.

Rants/Raves/Vents: I'm pretty excited! My parents and sister have finalized their plans to come visit. They are going to be here April 13th and my parents are staying until the 21st. My sister has to fly back sooner because of work, but I'm happy she'll be able to come at all.

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why? Spring! I love the weather getting warmer, flowers, baby animals, and my birthday.

Baby is the size of a: cabbage patch doll

Appointments: OB yesterday, NST this morning

Symptoms: I have to pee constantly and so much pelvic and vaginal pressure

Milestones: due date is exactly a month away!

Rants/Raves/Vents: I am so ready to meet this baby but as my due date gets closer I'm getting more anxious for labor. My labor with DD1 was good overall but for some reason I'm scared for getting through labor this time around.

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why? Probably spring. It's warm enough to wear shorts and flip flops but not too hot when being outside is unbearable. We completely redid our backyard last year so I'm looking forward to spending a lot of time and eating dinners outside.

Yes, fundal height. She thinks baby might be sideways so I guess that could be part of it. He definitely is more in my ribs at this point than I remember DS1 being.

This baby was measuring behind fundal height wise and it was because she was transverse but she flipped at 34 weeks. Dd1 was measuring ahead and I think it was because she was posterior so position can affect the measurement. I hope baby is good and the ultrasound gives you some reassurance. And I hope baby moves if he is sideways.

Baby is the size of a: winter melon

FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM

Team: definitely boy - we got a close up look on the ultrasound last week 😂

Appointments: tomorrow (maybe my last?)

Symptoms: back pain, hip pain, nausea/vomiting every few days, and my arms throb from the elbow down - ugh it’s the worst

Milestones: LO was head down last week after 6 weeks of being transverse!!!!! That said, he is still measuring ahead (mainly his head) and so my OB is only on board for a VBAC if he comes early. She said she absolutely won’t let me go past 40 weeks so I know I’ll have a baby in the next two weeks one way or another. I’ll see what tomorrow brings (he seems to switch between head down and transverse so...)

Rants/Raves/Vents:

I am so over work and just want to be able to have a few days with the family before LO arrives.

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why?
I have strong feelings about this. Spring>summer>fall>winter. I hate the cold and love the thunderstorms and flowers blooming in spring. But where I live now it’s one eternal spring and it’s kind of boring TBH.

Appointments: Tomorrow with social worker and NST

Symptoms: Hyper-emotional, Tired, Really sick of having to deal with shitty providers

Milestones: 30 days until due date!

Rants/Raves/Vents: I won't get too into it, but my GD person sent me another email about how I needed to watch what I ate and I lost it. I've been in a horrific mood since, which probably isn't helped by my utter exhaustion the past several days. I'm so ready to not have to come in to work early in the morning because I can't take this.

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why? Spring. It's cool without being too warm and everything is so pretty here.

smilesp yes i wouldn’t take to heart the fundal heights. i wouldn’t even place too much stock in the u/s measurements as they can be off too. i was measuring exact, but have fallen 2 weeks behind the last 2 appointments and no one is worried. position can have a lot to do with it.

There is only one GD person for my area, unfortunately. :/   I just wish she'd be a little more concerned and a little less threatening.

Symptoms: diarrhea, increased postnasal drip, being generally uncomfortable, peeing all the time etc

Milestones: I didn’t accidentally give birth on Thursday.

Rants/Raves/Vents: I’m emotionally a mess. Eating makes me super full. All I want is ice cream. I’m tired. I have problems 😂

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why?
Summer! I need sunshine. Grilling out, being able to throw DD1 outside.

I’m having the same problem. I have an appointment today so hopefully baby has caught back up. It’s making me really nervous even though I know it’s common.

smilesp those measurements are sooo inaccurate. And it's not uncommon for different provides to measure a bit differently to cause issues. I hope the growth scan goes well, but I wouldn't worry. Just be happy for another glimpse at the LO!

Baby is the size of a:  Loaf of Bread / Cabbage Patch Doll

FTM/STM/TTM/etc:  STM

Team:  Pink

Appointments:  Today w/ the mean midwife.  I'm anxious about it.

Symptoms:  Nausea.  Restless leg syndrome every night.

Milestones:  90% of the way there!

Rants/Raves/Vents:  Tomorrow should be my last day in the office until June-ish.  I'm super excited about not having to wake up at 6am for a while, at least until the baby comes

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why?  Fall and Spring are pretty equal for me.  I'm always so exited for Spring to get outside after being stuck inside during the winter.  But I loooooove all fall activities and weather too.

I took a picture last night wearing the same shirt I wore at 36w for my picture with Em.  I swore I was carrying bigger this time but the picture makes that seem incorrect?

Re: fundal height and baby size
I just went back to compare this pregnancy and the last and DD always measured right on schedule or up to two weeks behind. She was almost 9.5lbs. Fundal height is stupid and tells you nothing beyond extreme outliers IMHO.

Appointments: chiro, OB next week

Symptoms: weird tingling in my back and left arm, general discomfort, high anxiety

Milestones: nothing
ETA: I got grossly catcalled the other day. It was super aggressive and so embarrassing. Wtf is wrong with people.

Rants/Raves/Vents: DH and I had a CTJ about what needs to get down how best to tackle the list. I feel a little better but am hoping getting some things done will help my anxiety.

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why?
1. Fall: apple picking, wineries, good weather, last minute beach trips, outdoor festivals, less bugs, college football
2. Spring: winter is finally over, my birthday, nice weather, farmers market opens back up
3. Summer: outdoor activities, pool is open, BBQs on the deck, afternoon thunderstorms
4. Winter: the only redeeming thing is Christmas and a decent amount of federal holidays. I’d like winter to last two weeks over Christmas, snow a lot, and then immediately go into spring. Fuck being cold.

Baby is the size of a: bunch of carrots? So weird. But also a cute rabbit.

FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM

Appointments: Nothing this week but next week I have a growth ultrasound on Monday, my surgery consult for my gallbladder out on Tuesday and my next OB appt on Friday. Sorry work.

Symptoms: Pelvic. Pain. And a giant baby in my belly.

Milestones: I bought diapers. And a bassinet.

Rants/Raves/Vents: Lets see. Still waiting for the basement to be done. Still living in a storage heap. Still waiting on SO's house to sell. But besides those tiny/gigantic stressors, I feel pretty good and optimistic. I think its because the sun is shining today.

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why? Winter can go fuck itself. Since you ask me this in Feb, I will say spring is my favourite. I need some sunshine. But really - its typically summer.

Can I also just say that my fundal height and growth measurements with DS were pretty far off. Like at the end I had a growth ultrasound every week because he was so big. I was seriously stressing about having a 15lb + baby. They send me for GD testing 3 times. I can't tell you the number of times I cried during the middle of the night worrying about the size of my baby was insane.
He was 9lbs 3oz. So yes, a big baby, but he was so skinny and long and perfect. Like their level of concern vs the reality were very, very out of sync.
I wanted to say the same thing for your GD person Rama. Looking back it was the number one annoyance of my first pregnancy - they were so hyped on making me worry and everything was fine. Odds are always in your favour that your baby will be totally fine and its their job to worry about those things. You are doing a good job already.

Thanks and right? I'm pretty much over it this morning but my mom was pissed. She texted me last night to tell me my aunt is stupid.  And I was like "well, I think she was trying to be funny" and my mom was like "no. she's stupid". I laughed.

She is stupid so I'm all good now. I look way better than I did at this time with DS so whatevs.

Symptoms: Random morning sickness again, peeing constantly, and leaky boobs already

Milestones: I had my first "you look like you're ready to pop!" comment from a stranger yesterday. My bump does seem to have "popped" over the last week and become even more pronounced. Suddenly it feels as though everyone is viewing me as a ticking time bomb.

Rants/Raves/Vents: cp3 I have been having anxiety thinking about labor, as well. I am similar in that my DS's delivery was routine and honestly not bad at all, but this go around I am so much more nervous. I don't know why. Maybe it is just because I have done it before and actually know what all labor entails. I wish the anxiety would chill a bit.

GTKY: What is your favorite season and why?

I love fall for all of the cliche reasons (pumpkin picking, Halloween, crisp weather, football, etc.), but also really love summer. We try to hang out on our deck/in the back yard a lot and I love the nights where DH and I hang out with a glass of wine on the deck after kid bedtime and just chat, listen to music, look at the stars. It's my favorite thing.
