lfig did they move your new work truck? How is the water down there? We got a lot of rain this week and now a ton of wind. I am hoping the trees don't get blown over because I'm going to sleep in the front room so I don't hear what sounds like my house blowing over. I don't understand how we haven't lost any siding over the years.

wineallthetime just come and live with me for the rest of the winter. You won't have to worry about water problems. Plus today is a cold 59 degrees Backing my bags! I want in on these get togethers with Goldi too! Come on out! I think the kids would all get along great.

I'm pretending I won the lottery and am spending $10-15,000,000 in my head. Does anyone else ever do that? Every time I buy a Lotto ticket.

Nice day. We played with L at the mall and I almost had to drag Dude out of there for throwing a shoe in anger but he immediately recovered. I organized the pantry during X's nap. I'm feeling really anxious about everything I need to do before P arrives but I have no energy and she already dropped so I have major pressure if I'm on my feet for any length of time. Pete's best friend and his 5 year-old came over this afternoon. He and Dude played pretty well together. The friend asked if I have any moms I hang out with and I was like "Just chrisy01." He asked how I know her and I told him we met online. He definitely thought it was weird.

There's this little car at the play place and Dude got in front, L climbed in back and I asked where they planned to go?
Dude looked at me with a very serious expression and said, "We're going to the bar."

Also our driveway is the most flooded I've ever seen it. I'll try to get pictures tomorrow. It's insane.

The kids would be going to private school, I’d take some cool trips, quit my job and start my own dance studio where I would only teach the classes I wanted to, buy another house...I could go on for days.

I don't understand how we haven't lost any siding over the years. I think they did, but I’m not positive. Our rivers are flooded and a few campgrounds underwater but it’s nothing out of the ordinary for a spring flood. Unlike last year which was definitely out of the ordinary. But everyone is on edge because of last springs flooding. No one expected it to be as bad as it was. So now, that’s all people can think about when the rivers are raising. I’m not too worried though. We have some good contacts with the National Weather Service and they keep us well informed.

The party went great and I’m pooped. People stayed until 11ish and my house was trashed. After getting ready, hosting and picking up I have over 17k steps. My hip joint hurts so I can’t fall asleep till the ibuprofen kicks in. H was a little shit and kept doing things I told her not to or things she knew better than to do.

I'm pretending I won the lottery and am spending $10-15,000,000 in my head. Does anyone else ever do that? Jup. I would give my parents 1.000.000 so they can stop working. We’d both quit our jobs (well maybe I’d keep the new one) and travel on and of for a year or so. After that my and I would open a little cafe/store combo, where kids could play, parents could drink coffee and once a week there would be a vinyl night. Oh and we would let a pro finish our house.

joelies how were your lungs on your run? Knock on wood, but completely fine. No asthma flare-ups and very little coughing. It probably helps that it was 40 degrees and just the perfect morning for a run, but I thought as my body got more tired, that an asthma attack was inevitable. As odd as it sounds, I'm doing better now than the few months before getting sick when I was having a few flare-ups a week. This morning my legs are a bit sore and tight, and I had no interest in going for a run. But all in all, I'm feeling great!

Morning. Feeling better than yesterday, but far from okay. Going to take a nap now, than take some paracetamol so that I can have the high tea with my sisters. Maybe not the wisest choice, but I really want to spend some time with them.

Morning!
Both kids were up before 7...I got up and let DH sleep. I might make pancakes before he gets up so they won’t be charred 😂
We have a birthday party today—this sounds terrible but I don’t think I could pick the birthday boy out of a line-up. B has described him as having ‘smooth light hair’, which describes 4 of the 8 boys in his class. I got trapped with a *really* weird mom at the last school birthday party we attended so I’ll be on alert today.

If I won that much in the lottery we'd do the typical stuff- off all debt, set aside a bunch for the future for us and kids, share with family/charity. Then I'd hire people to redo our deck and landscaping, professionally decorate the house, buy new cars, go on a kid free trip. I think I may quit my job to stay home full time.

We're going to see the contemporary house again today -- I found out a lot of information about it. It's been empty for somewhere between two and three years, but the aunt and uncle (who happened to be the real estate agents) take care of it. MH is convinced this is why he didn't like it. He kept saying something felt off about it, and I think it's the fact that it has staged furniture that doesn't really go and it doesn't have that warm lived in look or that new construction feel. It's limbo. Now that he's armed with that information, he thinks he can see it with new eyes. I think he didn't like it because Charlie screamed in his arms the entire time we were there. Anyway it's just under half an hour for his commute which is about 8 to 10 minutes longer than we had hoped it to be, but inside has all of the specs we were looking for, and this town has such low inventory. I don't know if something it will pop up in the timeframe we need. The biggest con ( aside from the commute): It's not a side road like we had hoped, but it's also not a normal traffic-y road either. The house is pretty far back from the street, and it does have enough of the driveway for the kids to learn to ride their bikes without having to go to a park. The biggest pro: it has all the space we want plus an unfinished basement that we would work on.

I like that you'd stay in your current house. I really like our house and neighborhood! There are definitely things I don't love (no walk in closet, sob), but it's still pretty perfect for us. Especially once I get a decorater in to give it a polished and sophisticated touch! I forgot, I'd also do our basement! It's finished, but nothing special. It has the potential to be a really great space.

Morning! Just catching up from yesterday. My friend came over for the whole day so i was busy hanging with her. She was my student back in 2004 but she’s 30 now and we are friends. The kids were so well behaved the whole day, i think we need to have people over every weekend.
Not sure what we are doing today. I wanted to take the kids swimming but I’m feeling super tired and achy. Maybe i drank too much wine last night.

guster we are on the main entrance to our subdivision do it is a busier road but not too bad. We also get to see more people out on walks. Since we are on the middle of a hill we go down to the cul de sac and E rides his bike there. Maybe there is something closer than a park for this house. I hope the kids behave. And a 30min commute doesn't sound too bad but that is what I do daily.

Morning! DH is off to help his Dad cut wood for our Murphy bed, so the boys and me are on our own. It's rainy and DH picked up donuts for breakfast, so a trip to the bounce house place may be in order. It doesn't open until 9 so I'm drinking coffee, Chase is playing hockey with his plastic sorter shapes, and Colin is watching soccer.
Laundry and grocery shopping are the only other things on the agenda.
