flamingo - Glad you were able to get a better deal with USAA since I've heard such good things. That said, we've had Geico for years and they were amazing when Ryan got hit by a cop and sued for well over our plan max. It was such a stressful situation but I appreciated that they fought for us.

Hiiii! I'm sitting on the couch watching some Olympic figure skating special with Colin. It's been a loooong day. I ran 18 miles this morning (the last 9 with a friend from running group, thankfully), then took Colin to a birthday party and to the barbershop. DH met us there with Chase but they took forever to get there. I'm exhausted!!

MH is in Eeyore mode again. It's exhausting and annoying. One child is asleep and Josie won't be up much longer. I cannot wait for alone time!

Gymnastics this morning and a bowling party this afternoon. Cadence just woke up from a power nap she took on the car ride home.
The party was weird. The husband and his male family members went to the bar and were there through the whole bowling part of the party and I think they went back there after the cake part. The birthday girl didn't want to bowl and it was a little awkward.

That's great to hear! I'll keep that in mind for the future. Part of the problem was we were paying for some unnecessary stuff (both our cars are paid off so there were a couple things related to that that we didn't need) but I like knowing we have options for the future, since I know our rates will go up when DH replaces his truck in a couple years.

kim22 Not wedding, but we have family who have had multiple border collies. THey're great, smart dogs and beautiful, good with kids, but they are a super high-energy breed. Like, they make our lab look lethargic. They really need to be kept thoroughly exercised and mentally stimulated (my aunt does the agility training, etc. with her dogs) or they get bored and destructive. Plus the coat requires a ton of grooming, and there is a lot of shedding. My aunt and uncle don't have kids so the dogs have essentially been their babies and hobby. Not to be discouraging, but IME they are a breed that just requires a lot of time and upkeep, so I would bear that in mind. I would say the same. Every border collie I ever met loves chasing kids, in a playful way. But they are insanely high energy. I could not keep up with a dog like that.

My kids really need a bath. They haven't had once since Wednesday because we have a boil water advisory and I know they'll drink some water. If it's not lifted tomorrow we are going to have to go to my sister's or something, cause yuck.

kim22 whatever my border collie is mixed with makes her the greatest dog ever. Has never nipped at the kids. Really well trained. I take her on bike rides with me and she runs alongside me like a champ. Energy level is not spastic--i was concerned about this, but one good walk a day and she's fine. I often take her out on the bike so I can wear her out fast on work days. She loves walking to the bus stop and visiting with all the kids. She's very gentle. She naps in her crate most afternoons. She loves to join us for errands even if she doesn't get out of the car Her only bad trait is if she gets really bored she'll chew the drywall. That doesn't happen often though. I would get another one because she's been awesome. I'd also consider some type of spaniel. That's what I want. My parent's lab chewed dry wall also. My first dog that survived any length of time (other two died young) was a Cocker Spaniel and he was the very best dog.

Yes but his store has a review on Monday and he's off tomorrow because I'm working so it's the last day for him to make sure his department is ready. I told him not to but I couldn't stop him. I've done similar things so...

I'm pretending I won the lottery and am spending $10-15,000,000 in my head. Does anyone else ever do that? Buy a vacation house in Golden Oaks, buy a full time house in the 'Couv, tell co-workers to suck it, and invest the rest. Did anybody used to watch Reno 911? There was an episode where there was a glitch with the Reno lotto so something like 856 people won. The cops didn't realize they were one of many winners and therefore splitting the pot substantially and one by one they all came in to work telling the others off and bragging before finding out the news and took a seat to carry on the day as usual.

wineallthetime I would love to have a family member with a restaurant. My BFF's dad owns a few Italian places, but a place that serves brunch would be divine. Do you live close to your sis? It's delicious! We are about 20 min from their restaurant, so pretty close! I had a blueberry jam and bacon slider on a waffle bun, a jerk chicken with cinnamon sugar butter on a clove waffle bun and jalapeño cornbread poppers with cream cheese frosting. I'm stuffed! Those sound extremely delicious!

So LO and I had a pretty good day. He was so happy to play with cagoldi 'S A. He also loved that goldi's P shared his noodles and X's pretzels. He has been a little piggy today. He took a good nap and we played at home while watching Sofia. I got a few loads of laundry done and 1 load of dishes. Now he's in the bath and will be going to bed soon. I still don't know how you moms with more then 1 kid and pregnant are able to do it. He wears me out almost everyday.

I'm so tired. I painted this morning, walked around a mall with my kids and took my son to see Peter Rabbit. I thought it was terrible, which was too bad because I love those books. This is a UO with the rest of the theater, who seemed to enjoy the slapstick, so what do I know?
In other news, I was also reminded that I do not enjoy malls or movie theaters.

We had a blast with our friends. It was so good to laugh and hang out. The kids (5 total 18 months to 5) all played great together too.
