Had a crazy busy day. And I feel like I’m coming down with something which is not an option given my sister is in town and we’re leaving for our trip in a few days. So I’m off to bed!

For those of you whose kids are night trained or are in the process of night training, do your kids get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night or are they just waking up on dry? We stop all liquid about an hour or so before bedtime, and Josie uses the potty right before she gets into bed, but I can barely count on one hand the number of times she's woken up with a dry pull-up. Not in a rush over the situation, but just gathering info. I’m pretty sure H wakes up around midnight every night to use the bathroom.

Ds wakes up soaked 100% if the time. We limit fluids before bed, he pees before and after bath time. But what can you do 🤷🏼♀️?

We went to the grocery store, I ordered S’s cake (which might be a disaster but whatever) and got groceries for the party. Of course I forgot a few things so I have to either go back later tonight to get them or tomorrow morning. I’m currently trying to get H to take a nap. We are going to my niece’s middle school play tonight at 7 so I want her to nap because she will be up later than normal.

We had a fun morning! Went to the American girl store and n got matching jammies for her and her doll. Then the kids roads a few rides at Nickelodeon universe. N loved them! Then we grabbed lunch and now we’re back in our hotel room for naps. H still isn’t his normal self so I’m hoping the nap helps him feel better.

M wakes up dry a lot more now. I’m not pushing it, but I know MH has talked to him about it and makes him potty before bed. He has waken up before to go potty, but not often. When he wakes up dry on the weekends, he always comes to tell me and I praise him for it. I need to mentally prepare myself to actively encourage him because I know he is ready and is capable.

A and I took off for a day date. We did lunch at this great craft brewery/pizza place and saw a movie. Now going to look at slabs of quartz. The stone place got them in and I want to get quotes on bathroom counters.

Are you at the Mall of America slenle? I went when I was a kid and it was so fun. C loves the mall and I know he would love it. Maybe we need a motherboy trip out there sometime.

I totally forgot we had matching jammies until earlier this week when M pulled them out of a drawer. When we got the doll the jammies were too big so I put them away. M just had to wear them. I told her they were a size 3 and would be too small but she was bound and determined to wear those jammies. She looked ridiculous and it took a good 5 min to put them on & take them off. Lol.

flamingo are you near Virginia Beach? Dh and I were talking about a trip down at some point. I lived there for a few years growing up and loved it. I’d love to see it again with adult eyes.

There is so much to do here and it’s really grown in the 5-10 years. There are a couple of connected hotels now so we don’t even have to go outside.

I love Max so much and appreciate that when I feel like crap physically or emotionally he cuddles me, but I’m in pain and kind of just want my space and not have my face licked. I know i will miss this someday so I won’t kick him off just yet.

As far as I know, E does not wake up MOTN to use the bathroom. She goes potty before she gets in the bathtub. We don't limit drinks, unless she's acting a fool a drinking excessively, she has a sippy cup in her bed, although I don't think she ever drinks any of it. lahdeedah I'm glad that guy decided to call the wedding off now, even though it's a PITA for everyone. With his history, sounds like he realized marriage was a bad idea and divorce sucks. Sucks a lot worse than a cancelled wedding.

Before I changed my clothes to go to the gym, our QC manager was having a conversation with two of our engineers (just down the hall from me) about teachers having guns in schools. I did not participate and after they went on for so long, I finally got up to go change. As I walked out of my office, the QC manager asked me since I have a young child, how did I feel about it. I just kept right on walking and told him it didn't sound like a conversation to be had at work.
I firmly believe there are things that should be kept out of the office, religion and politics being the biggest, but this is right up there. Anything that can offend or upset people, do not discuss at work.

Tonight a bunch of the moms from S old class are going out to one of those paint and sip places. I only know 2 of them outside of class so it should be interesting

Ahhh, now I feel like I need to get my ears checked! Do it, for sure. This definitely makes me feel bad for when the kids have them! Damn it, why didn't I have someone look at them at work!? I just figured since they don't really hurt it's nothing. I do agree with feeling terrible for kids! My plugged ears are driving me nuts and making my headhurt and making me kinda queasy.

Omg, I was just watching Ellen and she had Bill Gates on. She made him play a game guessing how much some everyday groceries were. He's so out of touch with how much stuff costs. Here were some of the items with real $ and what he said:
1) Rice a roni- $1.00 - he guessed $5
2) tide pods - $19 - he guessed $4
3) Totino's pizza rolls - $9 - he guessed $22!
Oh to have so much money that you don't have to know what things cost!

My kid is spoiled rotten. She told my MIL that she needed a new cowboy hat. Their rodeo program at school is next week and they had to bring in a cowboy hat. (Her pink one is a little too small now.)
*poof
She got a hat, boots and a rope. Apparently H wouldn’t keep his cowboy boots on in the store so he didn’t get any.
