Is that really considered a curse word? It's using the lord's name in vain, so if you're religious, yes. Keep in mind M goes to a Baptist Day School, so they shouldn't be saying it for that reason alone. I don't say it just like I don't say GD. I was brought up that it was a curse word, so I guess it just depends on the person on whether you classify it as such. I wasn't supposed to take the Lord's name in vain, but that fell by the wayside half a lifetime ago when I swore off religion forever. Like I know some people would clutch their pearls over it but I don't think of it as a curse word. That said, I wouldn't really be thrilled with a DC teacher saying it, religious school or not, but at a Baptist program I can see why they wouldn't want that. I didn't know she was at a religious school.

B wet the bed last night and woke up screaming “mommy! Mommy!”, from her bed, at 2am. I had a talk w her this AM that if she needs help, she needs to come into our room and ask- not shout from her room, which wakes up C. I did not like dealing w 2 whining kids at 2am 😑 B does this, too. He hasn't wet the bet in awhile, knock on wood, but if a stuffed animal, pillow, etc. falls overboard he will yell for us. He's such a grump MOTN, too...it is not pleasant to deal with. Thankfully it's fairly rare.

joelies sounds like a great little school. Did you ever decide if you're going to do Fraxel (sp)?

joelies sounds like a great little school. Did you ever decide if you're going to do Fraxel (sp)? I decided to give the Retin-A a good 6 months to a year to see how that goes, since they're supposed to do the same thing. It's been about 4 months and I *think* I'm seeing a noticeable improvement, especially around my mouth. I'm not sure there's much beyond Botox that'll help my poor forehead.

For those of you whose kids are night trained or are in the process of night training, do your kids get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night or are they just waking up on dry? We stop all liquid about an hour or so before bedtime, and Josie uses the potty right before she gets into bed, but I can barely count on one hand the number of times she's woken up with a dry pull-up. Not in a rush over the situation, but just gathering info.

Then one day he insisted he wanted underwear and I was sure we'd be up MOTN changing sheets but no, it was fine. He's only ever had two or three accidents in the eight months or so since, and those were when he was sick. We have him pee right before bed but have never woken him to go.

I just don't think it sounds great to say it, religious or not. DNW my kids saying it. I also wouldn't take the name of another religion's god and use that as a curse-word, lol. B said "GDI" once in the fall and I asked him where he heard it. He hemmed and hawed a bit and then blamed it on the teacher, but he was very wishy-washy so I didn't pursue it with her. He never said it again so I think he probably heard it from another kid or something.

guster B has been night-trained for about a year and just wakes up dry in the morning. We have him use the bathroom twice right before bed (once before bath, and then once after books) and that seems to do the trick for us. Thankfully I think he inherited my bladder of steel (or what once was a bladder of steel, pre-kids).

Also, hi and TGIF! guster I hope a new realtor will do the trick, sounds like you're headed in the right direction joelies that school sounds lovely; I like that there is some separation b/n K and the older kids. We had a buddy program at my elementary school and I loved it as both a kindergartener and being the buddy later on. IIRC the older kids would read to the younger ones, which was always fun. No school today b/c of parent-teacher conferences (seriously.) so I took an early slot to get it done with. B got a good report so no issues there; afterwards we got donuts, stopped at the post office and went to the library. The weather is lousy here today so we might take the kids to an indoor playground-type thing after lunch.

We're not 100% there, but that's the same thing we do with Col - right before bath and then again after his entire routine is done. He wakes up super rarely in the MOTN, he mostly just holds it.

I realized when C was wetting the pull up it only happened on mornings he woke before me and it was warm still so he was clearly going in the morning, not MOTN. Since we started night training a month ago he has not woken to us the bathroom MOTN. I limit his fluid intake an hour before bed, however sometimes he sneaks stuff so on those nights I wake him before I go to bed. He has had 3 accidents I think and two of them were in the morning when he wasn't fully awake. No issues MOTN so far.

LO goes potty before bed. If he has to go pee and he wakes up he goes himself, turns his white noise machine back on then goes back to bed. The past 3 weeks we have had no accidents. He wants to wear big boy underwear but I told him he needs to wait a little longer. So we shall see.

My in laws are keeping the kids this weekend as my birthday present. MH isn't feeling well so I doubt we'll be doing anything exciting. At least no one will be waking my up in the MOTN for vomit or pee.

I was kind of wondering if that might be the case since he recently had bronchitis. Possible it never resolved. Did his doctor write him off of work for awhile? Hope he's feeling better soon, he's going to need tons of rest.

Well, from what I hear, he has commitment and emotional issues. He was married once before, and I heard he was cheating on her. Then dated and was engaged to a girl who worked the front desk here. That was off and on for some years until they finally called it quits last spring. Then he got back with a childhood friend, who he dated off and on for years and was once engaged to during med school, he proposed in October and they set the date for February. Now, there is no wedding.

trtlcrzy, same as the others - I make sure B goes potty right after she brushes her teeth and then she wakes up dry (except for last night, lol). She has never woken up MOTN to use the bathroom.

He’s woken up a few times to use the bathroom but mostly he sleeps through. Oddly enough sometimes when he wakes up after 11 or more hours, he still doesn’t want to pee right away.
