Not caught up yet but cagoldi, yep! That was me. 20 weeks, my doctor thought it was a fibroid so sent me for an ultrasound. I was on the pill and had my regular spotting one day a month so had to reason to suspect anything. I only went in because of the feeling of sleeping on a tennis ball when on my stomach. Wow!! This pregnancy will probably seem so long since you found out half way through last time!

Or lack of period. I know there will now be eleventy anecdotes about irregular periods. 😆 And I know you don’t know her personal lyfe tallb. It’s more just rhetorical. I couldn’t imagine how I wouldn’t know for that long. Here’s my guess, since I’ve read up on it a little bit out of curiousity (plus my friend’s older sister didn’t know she was pregnant until she was like 28 weeks or something so I’ve heard about her perspective). She was probably using a birth control that either stops you from having your period or makes it infrequent like every 3 months. The baby moving could be chalked up to indigestion or gas (plus some babies really aren’t that active in utero. I didn’t feel H till like 24 weeks and mostly only felt the big movements). Some people really don’t gain wait until they are 6+ months along, and depending on the person maybe only gain 10lbs their whole pregnancy so a slow weight gain may not be noticed. If you really didn’t have it on your radar that you could be pregnant I can see how it could be missed, at least for a while. I guess I could see that. I don't gain til 30 weeks or so, but my body definitely changes a lot. I don't know what it'd be like for really overweight people though who may not feel their stomach getting harder and rounder. Maybe I just have strong active babies, but at 30 weeks the kids and movements are intense! But again, I guess if you didn't have a harder pregnant stomach you may not feel that from the outside.

My friend K from SD his sister found out at 36 weeks. She was a tiny thing too. She gave birth the day after Xmas 2013 at 37 weeks. K called me and asked me what were the must needed item. He knew I researched everything so she literally got almost all the same big items I picked.

+5787384 at not understanding how you could not know you were pregnant that late in the game, but BIL (OBGYN) sees it all the time. Wow! Really I'm surprised it's more common than I thought.

I have been missing because I kept getting "account not found" when I tried to log in. I almost had to send an SOS over Fitbit. We are missing some hardware from C's crib. After an Amazon and manufacturer fail, I spent all day yesterday traveling to mom and pop hardware stores in a 45 minutes radius. One place worked hard to try to get something that would work but it didn't. The store however reminded me of the one my grandfather owned and I left crying because I missed him. I may be throwing out a $400 crib over a $0.40 bolt. Baby slept until 5 today with no wake ups but of course that meant T wet the bed and woke me up at 1:30. cagoldi I get the fear of "working mom of 3." I'm not worried at all about the year and a half home with 4, it's the going back to work I'm worried about. I also know I'm not really home with 4 since 3 are in school. I actually haven't been this stress free in a long time. Baby had a clogged tear duct yesterday and no biggie, I was home and took him to the doctor. Today I had to go to the eye doctor and I went when all the others were in school. It's also nice not having to clean and grocery shop all weekend because I can get it done during the week.

I'm in the middle of a 24 hour urine test for my kidney stuff. My kids don't believe me that the jug is full of pee and they want to know what it really is.

I also experienced why people love minivans from a rental once, but it’s still a hard no to me ever owning one. I cringed just riding in the rental.

Well.
That was...something.
Dude was amazing. I gave him a lollipop to distract him. There was a 6-7 year-old in there totally freaking out so I know that rattled Atticus a little but he still did great. Just whimpered a little then kept telling them "thank you" when they took out the needle and bandaged him.
X was not so easy and the whole thing was a practice in futility. They couldn't find a vein so they jabbed around in there for about 30 seconds while he practically hyperventilated then Pete said that's enough, we'll try another day. X is still pretty chubby so I guess I hadn't considered that not being able to visualize a vein could make it tough.
I thought the phlebotomist would totally side-eye me for the lollipop but he kept telling me I was such a nice, good mom. Weird.

I used to watch that show “I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant” on TLC or maybe it was Discovery Health. And every single show I would sit there screaming at the TV “how did you not know!???” And then afterwards, continue screaming to mh that this must happen often bc they never seem to run out of women to come on the show and tell their stories. 😵🤯 It’s just too much for me to wrap my head around - despite all the explanations they gave on the show.

I go into a lot of procedures at work, including blood draws, and I've never seen a side eye for a sucker. They actually keep them stocked in my area for kids getting echos to help them stay still. I think most people are just happy there's something to help calm the kid down since nobody likes to make a kid cry!

Plus, if that ever happened to me I'd be taking monthly pregnancy tests no matter what.

I’m sorry for the rough week kim22. Is amazon compensating you in any way for the missing hardware? I lost some hardware in our move and didn’t realize until I gave he crib to my cousin. I was able to find the stuff on Amazon and prime it to her.

I was able to find the stuff on Amazon and prime it to her. Amazon didn't do anything wrong, DH ordered a set of bolts and it didn't have the sizes we needed. The crib is used from T. The missing parts are our own fault, I guess since we didn't plan on using it again, we didn't do a good job hanging onto parts when we took it down. I thought no big deal, I will just go buy what's missing but they are not readily available parts apparently.

Idk I can almost see how someone could miss most of a pregnancy. With Layla I always said that if I didn't "know" I was pregnant I wouldn't have known I was pregnant for the longest time. I didn't feel movement till 20+ weeks and it was faint for a very long time. Although getting into 3rd tri and you can physically see your stomach moving as baby rolls.... I think you have to truly be clueless or in major denial.

V definitely looked like a prize fighter during a tough round after his oral injury. He fell off his chair at daycare and on the way down, slammed his teeth on his desk, forcing one of them all the way back up into his gums and lodging into a bone. He was really swollen and bloody. Eventually, a few weeks later the tooth re-erupted amongst more blood.
It is now almost descended down back even with his other teeth, but the color is a little off. We go back next month to check for any abscesses that may form behind the tooth. We won't know if the permanent tooth is damaged until it comes out several years from now.
Worst injury ever.

I really didn't get much morning sickness or anything the first time and felt good up until the 3rd trimester. 3rd trimester blows my mind though. I just don't get how you couldn't suspect!

This is me, too. The ones that always get me are the ones who at some point have been told they can't get pregnant (for whatever reason), so they just ignore/write off all the (super obvious) symptoms as something else. Like, "a baby is crowning, but that doctor way back when I was 17 told me I can't get pregnant, so it must just be gas." (only a slight exaggeration there)

I’m sorry X had a rough time but way to go A!! cagoldi. How long for results? I'm really not sure? And they didn't do the pneumonia vaccine, just a draw. So I need to ask I the doctor about that. My Immunologist insists we won't figure anything out unless we take the kids to an Immunologist, but our pedi is good about working with us and agreed to the tests right away. I guess it's more a matter of knowledge exactly what they're looking for? Even when my labs came back, I saw the Immunologist reviewing them and counting up the values for various antibodies and I'm not sure a pedi knows how to do that. So we'll see.
