Do you guys swaddle for naps? We do it at night but I haven't been swaddling her for daytime naps. I ask b/c I was having a text conversation with some friends about it. One friend swaddled her baby a ton until 10 weeks and it sounded excessive but....her baby slept/sleeps really well.

Plus LO doesn't like the wrapping process so it would be a PITA to do it throughout the day.

We don't swaddle for naps either. Once he is asleep I put him in the mamroo. He sometimes stays asleep when I put him down.

My DD1 did 👏🏻 not 👏🏻 like 👏🏻 the swaddle. I'll try it again but I'm not sure it'll go over well. I ended up using the love 2 sleep sacks and she loved them.

We didn’t start off swaddling for naps but now that she’s more awake she won’t settle with her arms out. I’ve been using a different swaddle at night (The Ollie), but I’m not sure she cares. 🤷🏼♀️

Hi! Due date day here! This morning I'm going to try to clean up around here and then this afternoon take DD for a walk when the sun comes out. We just ordered a bunch of stuff on Amazon and this weekend will be our last big push of stuff we want done before she gets here. I mean, I'm doing some weird shit. The pills on my couch are bothering me so I'm using a sweater pill thing and getting them all up. 😂🤷♀️ We just ordered a carpet cleaner too. Maybe I can convince MH to try it out this weekend 😂

I don’t really want to get in that habit though since I’d like for it be be a night-time only signal to her.

I’ve stopped swaddling altogether. He used to love having his legs wrapped up but is now kicking like crazy and I’m pretty sure he was waking up because of the swaddle. Hopefully today is the day for you sunfrogger!

Was scheduled for an induction at 7:00, called at 6:00 and they had no beds. So now we have to call back at 12:00, or they could call before that but I’m not holding my breath. I was up and showered at 5:30 just in case, and now I’m tired and the waiting is killing me.

Morning! We aren’t swaddling anymore either. Here’s my babies! I have to show off from the big hockey game, DS’s cheer squad: Sooo excited to play! And so many big smiles now!

I had intended not to swaddle at nap but as he's getting bigger it's getting harder and I've been using it at least a few times per day. If you can get away with it only for night I think it's a good signal that it is nighttime.

We don’t swaddle either. Both my babies hated it. DS does like to be wrapped in a blanket though so I am using a Muslin swaddle to wrap around him from waist down. He sleeps in a sleep sack at night.

We didn’t swaddle DD1 because she was in a hip brace but even for the few weeks before that she didn’t like it. DD2 is the same and didn’t like it. It’s obviously genetic 😂 same with a pacifier. My mom said me and my sister wouldn’t take one and my two girls didnt/won’t either. Maybe for a minute here or there but that’s it.

We swaddle for naps to bc if we don’t he pisses himself off. Same for us. She sleeps so little during the day. I can’t imagine what it would be not swaddled. FWIW, I did nap and night swaddle with my boys too until 5 months or so and it worked for us.

B is 8 weeks old today! And I go back to work a week from tomorrow 😥. My sister and mom are flying in tomorrow for the weekend so at least I have something to look forward to! Last week on Valentines Day! And this week one of the few times I could get her to keep a paci in her mouth more that a minute!

And all of these pictures! Love them. I currently can’t put her down during the day without her waking up and crying within 3. Minutes so not a lot of pictures going on. Hopefully we turn a corner on this soon. watermelonseed love the one of your daughter on the computer! My kids totally play work with my old computer a couple paper clips postits and file folders. It’s cute until DS1 says something mimicking things I’ve said along the way that I’m not proud of like... not now I just need to finish this contract or one more email than I can help you! I cringe.

Faith is 4 weeks old today! She is spending more time awake and is getting better with her head control and lifting her head up. She is a noisy little thing, she snores, she grunts and "sings" a good chunk of the day and it is both cute and annoying. We swaddle only at night because I'm lazy. I need to stop letting her sleep on me so much, but I love having her sleeping on my chest. Is anyone co-sleeping? I have pulled her into bed with me a few times when she was fussy and we both needed sleep and I want to make sure that I'm doing it at safely as possible. The few times I've done it we have both slept good for a few hours... I never thought I would be a co-sleeper, but if that is the only way to get sleep at times then I want to do it safely.

aprilz81 I’ve bedshared with all 3 of mine as infants. I also was a hard no as a ftm with DS but around 2 months I was so tired I started accidentally doing it and realized how much better our sleep was, so I adjusted what I was doing too. And now it’s the only way I know to teach my babies nighttime is bedtime so I just kept rolling with it (N will actually occasionally spend sometime in the RNP too which is nice for a break) Is there anything specific you are wondering? We transferred the first two to their cribs around 6-8 months old which coincided with me ending bfing and switching to formula both times.
