So apparently our office wasn't supposed to have the day off yesterday. My boss is confused and told us all to put 8 hours worked. Apparently the main office switched our holiday to good Friday but didn't communicate to everyone. Oops. So do you get Good Friday off too since you all "worked" yesterday?

knittyOmg this birth center was amazing!!!! At least, in my opinion. I'm in love. So now we are just going to make sure we qualify and to work out an affordable payment plan. But I think they may be the ones!!! I'm excited to hear how your visit goes.

I went with a Maui wrap from a local place. Chicken, mayo, raspberry vinaigrette, lettuce, pineapple, bacon, and cheese. It tends to be my go to when I have to buy lunch on a work day. Although I surprised myself by going for a side salad instead of sweet potato fries. I think my stomach knew wrap and fries was going to be too much.

Everyone's lunch sounds amazing. I just ate my toddler's half eaten smooshed burger from two nights ago. I have such a hard time throwing food away.

Ugh. I just took a nice walk outside and came back in to my desk just to have those pre-migraine auras pop up. WTF. Apparently this is what I get for skipping coffee Thursday-Sunday since I wasn't feeling well. Took some Tylenol now I'm downing an extra small coffee to see if it helps any.

Appointment went well today. I'm trying to be excited. I'm just so cautious/nervous. Blah.

I just ate a burger and fries from Wendy's for dinner and I regret it big time. SO much nausea/heartburn/general grossness. DD is asleep, I'm going to curl up on the couch in front of the olympics until I fall asleep.

Curl up on the couch and fall asleep watching the Olympics is basically me every night since they started. Hope you feel better soon.

koritto I just weaned my 26 month DS a couple weeks ago on my OB's advice. He mostly nursed MOTN/early mornings and I miss it a little (mostly b/c he doesn't fall back asleep as easy anymore!) we did the countdown approach. 5,4,3,2,1,0 more sleeps until mama's milk is all done and you don't need it anymore, since you're such a big boy. He still occasionally asks, but we tell him he can have milk from the fridge or water if he's thirsty and I make sure to stay covered up in front of him so that it's semi "out of sight out of mind". And the asking has decreased a lot, still likes his hands down my shirt (which I sometimes allow, but usually try to redirect).

So tired. Stomach is feeling a bit off this morning even though I ate crackers immediately after waking so that's not fun, but I'm trying to eat more and hope it doesn't progress to anything.
At work, but there's Olympics on NBCSN streaming so I have that to watch while I work at least. It's nice it's already hump day.

It seems like we definitely have a lot of pgal ladies here. Would anyone want to start a check in or thread just for that? I figure I may be easier to keep it in a separate thread and to help each other through the anxiety of it all.

pixiepink24, my daughter was born at a Birth center in 2015 and it was a really good experience. I did all my prenatal with them as well. If there is one near you and you want an unmedicated birth, I absolutely recommend it! I'm considering going back there this time even though I'm now 45 minutes away because I loved it there that much. There's another midwifery practice close to my house (although not close to my office) that I'm looking at as well, although they deliver at a hospital. I signed up for a hospital tour and am going to see if I can do an info session with the midwives and see how I feel. On one hand, a shorter drive would be nice (especially while in labor), but I'm so nervous about going away from something I loved.

DramaphileI'm glad I'm hearing such great experiences with the birth centers. It was like a spa! I did an unmediated birth with DD and it went pretty well. 21 hours from water break to fdelovery and all 8lbs 14 ounces of chunk! I ended up getting out of the birthing tub to get her fully out though. I had a midwife and doula but delivery at the hospital. I would love to be able to deliver in the water completely if possible. I'm really excited about. They say the prenatal visits are long and thorough. Plus they do three group visits with other expectant moms. Something about centering? Sounds awesome though!

An hcg draw was included in my blood workup today. I am anxiously awaiting the results now. And because I'm a crazy person, I've looked up the value for this appt from my pregnancy with DS..... So I have something to compare my current result to..... Stop it brain.

That's so crazy to think. But maybe it would be nice for a separate thread so we can keep the random happy stuff in one spot and a safe place to express our fears and anxieties? I'm totally fine either way though.

Oh, and I also got my first nasty hematoma today from this morning's injection. I was just thinking last night that I've been lucky to avoid bad bruising so far this time. It's a swollen, purple welt and it hurts 😢 Hopefully it doesn't get any bigger and doesn't hurt for long. Hope no one minds if I complain now and then about having to inject myself.... It sucks.

tbirdlove -- complain away! If I had to inject myself everyday, I'd most definitely be complaining more than every so often!

Just had an appointment with my ob and got a surprise ultrasound to get the heart beat. She used a super old school ultrasound machine but you could still see baby dancing around in there and it wouldn't cooperate and hold still. Every time I see the baby I feel more hopeful that this might actually work out
