I'm going to be at the mall tomorrow so I may pop into Motherhood and look at their jeans. I did dig out a couple pairs that I had saved that are one size up from what I've been in so those may work for me another few weeks.

catspajamas2, I'm glad the nurse was able to reassure you! Stress + hormones is no joke. I feel like I hit the bra lottery today. I finally found a bralette that works for my small band, big cup sized chest and it was only $22 including shipping from the UK. M&S sells it, if anyone's curious. It's so great. Please share! I have a few more bras coming tomorrow, but I think I'll have exhausted all the Amazon and Nordstrom options after these

Even though once I've had food & water, it's an impressive blump. 😂 They have to stay up since I'll be wearing them to work. I'm going to check it out today though.

Leggings are the best right now.

I tried on some side panel ones last weekend, and they were comically huge (just in the waist, the legs fit fine). The over the belly ones stay up pretty well even without much belly to hold them.

I'm jealous of all you ladies that can still wear regular clothes. I've been in maternity clothes for 6 weeks now.

Mornings are such a struggle for me. DH gets up at 5:30 for work and I get up with him even though I could probably wait until 6:00. I'm just so damn tired. I don't even want to speak in the mornings.
I sometimes feel like I'm being judged for drinking coffee at work. I'm sure it's all in my head and it's probably just me feeling guilty.
I emailed two more centers this morning for a back up plan for childcare. I heard from one yesterday and they were way more expensive. I'm about to double my childcare costs as it is. I don't want to pay more than what we pay at our current center. I'm ready to give up and just hope for the best.

PennyCandy - It's really hard to find affordable childcare for multiple children. Part of the reason we waited a bit to start TTC was so that DS would be closer to kindergarten age and cost of care would be lower. However, we'll still have a year of overlap. We've been looking around at in-home childcare but all the places that are recommended are full and have waiting lists. I had put aside a large chunk of money beforehand so that we could use it either toward paying off my student loan or my car loan. That would free up a chunk of money to make up the difference. I wish childcare wasn't so dang expensive.

I wish childcare wasn't so dang expensive. It was a struggle to find care at all for DS1. I started looking when I was pregnant and finally found someone the month before I was supposed to go back to work. I had to pay for full time care even though he went part time. I like our center and don't really want to move, but I also don't want my kids at different places if a spot doesn't open up. I told our center last month and the waiting list was already out until January 2019. I thought I had plenty of time especially since we already had DS enrolled. I should have known better. I don't think this situation is unique to my area so if you haven't started looking and securing a spot, you might want to get on that (collective you.)

I totally understand that PennyCandy. I would like to avoid multiple drop offs as much as possible, too. That's crazy about your current center. Do they give existing families preference? Before we moved, it was really hard to get in anywhere and were lucky to find an opening for DS at a center. However, where we currently live, the centers are much more expensive and seem to have openings (probably because their so much more expensive?). I was actually a little shocked. It's the in-home/more affordable centers that are tough to get in to here. I've just come to terms we're going to pay out of the nose to stay in our current center. I started calling the in-home childcare centers the month I found out I was pregnant and everything was full and had ridiculous waiting lists. I'm sorry, it's stressful and frustrating. I hope you can find a solution soon.

cara, they do give existing families preference. I'm fortunate that I can bring the baby to work with me until he is six months old, but can only bring him on non-clinic days so maybe three days a week. DH is supposed to be looking into paternity leave. With our first he had six weeks of paid leave, but a new company recently bought out his old company so he's not sure if he gets the same benefit. I think the best option that just came to mind is that he waits to take his leave until after I go back to work and he spreads it out so he's working three days a week and taking two days off to be with with the baby on the days he can't come to work with me.

Do they give existing families preference? +1 don't they give existing families right of first refusal? my DCP even asked at the end of last year if i was thinking of having another kid in 2018 bc she would hold a spot for me. i mean, random people can't know more than 9 months in advance that they need a spot, right? PennyCandy , would it be possible to set something up with a combo of relatives/babysitters to fill in that 3 month gap until a spot opens up at your center? (assuming that you're taking 12 weeks of maternity leave) ETA: just saw your other post- looks like you are already doing this with your H. that seems like the easiest way to me, rather than trying to find a different DCP.

I need to start looking into child care. My MIL watched DD, but doesn't want to do 5 days a week now that my FIL is retired. I am not sure what we will do.

We're having P. Terry's for dinner tonight. So with a burger, fries, and milkshake in me I should be able to easily try on pants. 😂

Next week I need to start making phone calls to centers to get pricing and see if they have availability. Plus touring them. Ugh.

Ffs I am so ready for nausea to go away. With dd I know it was gone by 13 weeks. But here I am almost 14 weeks and I feel like it's not getting better at all. Grumble grumble grumble.

I found a center that has availability for both kids. I'm going to tour it Monday, but I've already seen it for work so I know the building is at least really nice. Price is also about the same.

Did any of you have gestational diabetes in any of your pregnancies? I have been feeling like absolute crap after I eat as in shaky, a little weak and really tired. But I always worry that I’m making symptoms of things in my head. Thoughts?

But I always worry that I’m making symptoms of things in my head. Thoughts? Is it every time you eat? If I try to have just a bowl of cereal, or pancakes/waffles with syrup, my blood sugar crashes soon after. I have had incidences with low blood sugar/feeling like it's low since I was a teenager though. As far as I know I'm not diabetic. It happens maybe once a month.
