i’m legit scared of not knowing when i’m in labor. everyone says you’ll know...but like what if i don’t? and i want an epi so i better have time for that. +1. I only knew with my first because my water broke, I didn't have any contractions until afterwards. And I was kind of glad I was GBs+ because I got to go right in instead of timing contractions or anything. I will say that whole day I was super nauseated (which was unusual at that point in that pregnancy), so if you have a random day of nausea...maybe? This time I'm nauseated every day so that won't help.

I'm pretty sure I'm developing some mild eczema because of the stupid weather we're having. Anyone want to throw their recs at me? My hands are like freakin' sandpaper.

My contractions didn’t start with #1 until 15 hours after my water broke. Womp womp. Labor is so weird.

I'm pretty sure I'm developing some mild eczema because of the stupid weather we're having. Anyone want to throw their recs at me? My hands are like freakin' sandpaper. Damn. I’m sorry. I have terrible hand eczema and it’s the actual bane of my existence. If they get really itchy - like wake you up in the middle of the night itchy - do a bleach bath. You can google it but I would just fill up a sink with water, throw way too much bleach in it. It’s the only thing that stops those horrible itches for me. Lotion, lotion, lotion - nothing with scents. I really prefer thick creams like a hand repair cream but I hate Vaseline. And try not to get your hands wet. Like reduce hand washing - no doing dishes etc. and as much as it feels good, don’t rub them. It makes them worse. And I can’t do gloves - the plastic makes it worse. And see if you can get a rx from your dr for a steroid cream. And best wishes. You have all of my sympathies. Hand eczema is the fucking worst.

Hating my hand eczema is a passion of mine. Sorry about the TLDR

Wearing birkenstocks all day long on this unseasonable 70°F day was probably a bad idea.
My feet are used to socks and supportive shoes in the winter, so the shock is being felt tonight. I’m gonna have sore feet tomorrow!

Same here leatherpantsRama i switched all soaps to cetaphil and aquaphor brands. The cetaphil specifically for excema is the only thing that will keep my hands from being itchy and dry. Like LP said, reduce hand washing, keep them dry, and put some lotion in every purse, on every desk, and in every bathroom. I just tried to branch out to Aveeno sensitive body wash and my hands got bad again. It’s so frustrating.

Basically everything and nothing means labour is really starting.

Aveeno did nothing for me. The actual best I have found is this stuff called Lucas’ pawPaw ointment. My sister brought it back from Australia and it looks like you can get it on Amazon. It’s amazing.

So when do I need to start worrying that LO is in a very firmly breech position? Also, do inneed to be concerned that I’ve been pushing its head out of my ribs - i thought it was it’s bit and i wasn’t exactly super gentle.

My MFM said that well-controlled GD wouldn't push my "needing to have baby earlier" time any earlier. I only have to start induction before my EDD because of my hypertension, otherwise she'd have just let me go until whenever I'd naturally go. With DS my GD was completely diet controlled and my induction date was set for 2 days after my due date. So like Rama said if you are diet controlled you it might be a possibility. My 9lb Baby who was born at 38+5 after my somewhat uncontrollable insulin dependent GD last time is making my (new this pregnancy) doc a little more cautious this go around. He’s mentioned not letting me go past 39w but I’m hoping I can sweet talk him into a few days....although I remember being SO. DONE. by the time she came😂

I'm so grumpy and irritable tonight. I want everyone to go to bed so I can just sit and be left alone. Also, I've been crampy all day. Like period cramps. Just feeling uncomfortable overall.

I was coming here to post the same thing. Cramps all day long. I’m done. Except this kid needs to cook a while longer.

My kid is losing her shit in her room right now but I just cannot deal with it tonight. The past week she had been doing so good with minimal crying at bedtime and hardly any wake ups during the night. But tonight she will not listen and just screams at us. I think she is overtired but will not calm down.
Last night I felt like I had it all together and could handle two kids and now I'm terrified and feel like a horrible mom.

cp3 I feel like that too. I have no idea how I will handle 2. It’s scares me all the time and gives me anxiety the closer I get to giving birth. But, I see how the moms here and on my other BMB do it and know that it’s possible. We wont have blue ribbon days every day, but we will be the best mom of 2 that we can be. Plus. We’re all here to build you up when you have rough days and need to vent <3

I think I'm just getting anxious the closer it gets since I'm going to SAH now and I'm nervous I won't be able to handle it. I'm glad there are quite a few of us going from one to two so we can commiserate together as we figure this out.

Ok something may be happening but I don’t want to get anxious unnecessarily. I woke up to pee like usual, but had diarrhea (sorry tmi, although we are prob past the point of this being tmi by now right). Anyway so I get back in bed and try to fall asleep but I’m having some cramping maybe? Contractions? Idk. Definitely feeling the sensation super low which feels like a mix between period cramps and upset stomach cramps. And my stomach is definitely tight. Maybe lasts for 20 seconds or so. I feel tired but I can’t fall asleep so I came out to watch USA/Canada Women’s hockey final with MH.

clementine Not to add to your anxiety, but all of that sounds very similar to how my labor started. Is the bouts of cramping/tightness happening with any regularity? It wouldn't hurt to start timing. Also, I had similar cramping/contractions before I went to bed the couple of nights before I actually went into labor - they say if you can fall asleep, it wasn't real labor. Keep us posted!! ETA: also super common to have diarrhea and/or vomiting at the beginning of labor. Again, sorry if I'm adding to your anxiety!

clementine. I would start timing too just in case. Better to have that information and be prepared if you have to go in. And here I thought the suspense of the hockey game was going to send me into labour

Started timing and they’re about 5-7 min apart and lasting 60-90 seconds. Painful but nothing too bad. I guess we’ll call the dr in a bit if they continue like this for much longer. It’s probably been 30 min of actual timing at this point.

I woke up feeling awful this morning. Crampy. Had diarrhea once. Nauseas. So uncomfortable. I don’t know if I have food poisoning or something. My toddler is fine, but I’ll be damned if I can get a hold of MH to see if he feels awful.

I didn't realize #1 was breech and I thought her head was her butt and I kept pushing and smacking it like it was cute until I realized it was her head. She seems fine. I know such sound medical advice.

sweetc129, LOL at you smacking your daughter's head. I'm such a planner, I really hate not knowing when this baby will come. Like I just wish I had a date, even if it was 5-6 weeks away, at least I'd know! I'm getting into the stage of pregnancy where I don't want to talk to anyone. I took my daughter to the pet store last night to get a new fish and ended up having two encounters with bitchy women, I really wanted to punch them in the face. I should not be allowed in public anymore at this point.
