tgrimes We have several of the Skip Hop ones. The only one I had issue with had a tiny pin-prick hole in the top, randomly enough. I think it came that way. But the others have been fine. I'm intrigued by the Contigo ones lfig ! They sound battle-tested. They don't leak at all if they tip over or get dropped?

Does anyone have a rec for straw cups that don't leak and are easy to clean? H loves the munchkin weighted straw cup but it leaks. I had some straw cups from tommee tippee that M never used and they're a pain in the ass to clean. Help. These are the ones i use. They leak if the straw is up and the kids put it upside down. But the top turns to lock it for when it’s in my bag and it’s pretty safe from leaks in that position.

Did I ever check in? I'm so out of it in general this morning and with the change to my role, work is so damn busy!! Anyhow Chase started screaming around 3:45 and didn't stop until about 5:15. There was nothing wrong, he just hadn't had a bad night in about a week so I guess he thought it was time. Sigh...
On a positive note, we're having some success since putting Colin back into pull-ups at night. He's hovering just above a 50% dry rate, which is far better than he'd been doing immediately before. And he hasn't lost interest in getting back to underwear, so I think this was definitely the best course of action.
I need to figure out this long weekend. My parents haven't seen the kids since Christmas Eve because my Dad's waiting on back surgery and he can't sit in a car for 90+ minutes each way. He's barely leaving their apartment at this point. DH agrees that we should drive up there since they are so good about visiting us on a regular basis, BUT he starts pushing back when we talk specifics. If I don't figure something out this weekend, we're looking at mid-March and that's just dumb. How frustrating.

Both boys have multiple Thermos cups and they've held up amazingly well. All the pieces come apart easily for cleaning and we haven't had leakage issues. ETA: Whoa, that's big

Re Bathroom. MH and I both go to the bathroom with the kids in there. In fact, i rarely get to poop or shower without someone in the bathroom with me. I try locking them out but then they’ll cry (mostly Z) at the door to be let in so why bother.
However, i do not go in the bathroom when mh is using it and vice versa. DNW to be there for that. It’s bad enough that i see the skid marks he leaves.
One time i was in the family room and he was in the bathroom that opens up to the family room. Z was knocking to be let into the bathroom. So MH opened the door to let her in and didn’t realize i was sitting in the family room. I got a full view of him sitting on the toilet with his pants around his ankles and i just died laughing. He spotted me and was surprised and closed the door. We both got a good laugh from it but not interested in seeing that daily.

Somebody stop me from buying all the rompers and diaper cover sets on the Carter's website. I am a huge sucker for chambray, rainbows, and polka dots. Did they still have stuff left? I assumed I bought out that whole site!! Old navy has adorable bubble Rompers right now! Up to 75% off. Promo code PRESDAY

We have a few.

Morning ladies, you’ve been chatty this morning! Had a mini baby shower for my coworker at the office today, balloons, cupcakes, presents etc. She was really surprised! No vegging out on the couch, I’m exhausted.

Re bathroom habits, we have one bathroom (two toilets) and it has never happened, nor will it ever, that either Dh or I are doing no2 with the other in the room. We need some mystery in our marriage 😉.

You girls want to head something gross?
I was brushing ds’ hair this morning he asked me to smell the brush. Me: why do you want me to smell the brush? Ds: oh Mam just do it Me: okay... Ds: what does it smell like? Me: ehm nothing really, like hair? Ds: no, I put it in the toilet the other day so that your hair would smell like toilet water! 😳🤢😳🤢😳 Apparently he doesn’t like this brush and wanted me to get rid of it and thought this would do the trick, well I can’t see he’s wrong.

Here’s my opinion on straw cups. I’ve tried every single one mentioned except the 2nd one lfig posted. The weighted munchkin ones are great until s chews on it enough to make a bigger hole in the straw which causes it to leak. Our skip hop bottle also leaks a little bit. The contigo flip top one doesn’t leak but S’s got mold between the top part she sucks out of and the plastic, and H’s O ring came loose so it doesn’t seal correctly. They were good for about 6-9 months before we had issues. H has one of the thermos ones and it will leak if the cover is open.

Circling back to my initial post, the text to Pete was prompted by the fact that I was very pleased with myself for getting some meds in X this morning.
He was a snotty mess so I put Claritin in his applesauce pouch, closed it again, kneaded it to mix things up, and he finished every drop.
If you've already thought of/done this, don't tell me about it. I want to continue to believe I'm the first one to think this up.
I also reviewed his colors by way of Froot Loops this morning so obviously I'm really killing this mom thing.

At what age do we make them give up the sippys? I'm tired of reassembling the damn things.

I’m home now. The biopsies went fine but I’m going to have a huge bruise from it. She was able to use just 2 incisions instead of 3. I also found out that I’m not supposed to lift anything, including my children for the rest of the day. Luckily my niece doesn’t have school so I picked her up and she’s helping me for the afternoon. We will probably do pizza for supper tonight. I stopped at pita pit and got the chicken pesto pita. It was alright, I didn’t think it was the best thing ever though.

trtlcrzy glad it’s done. How are you feeling? I’m feeling fine. My breast is still pretty numb but I just took Tylenol to ward off any soreness. I’m also supposed to keep ice packs on the incisions so that’s probably helping too.

Question to those that have a water closet... do y’all actually close the door every time you have to use the toilet? We have a water closet, but the only time I close it, is if I want to lock the door to keep M out. MH never closes the door either, which is annoying when he poops, but I’m kinda just shruggy about it.
The only time I’m annoyed with him is if I’m in the bathroom getting ready or doing something that takes me a while, and he comes in to poop. Like, no. I was here first and will be for a while, so use the other bathroom. DNW to smell you for the next 10-15 min.

Just got finished at the vet's office. I'm miserable and I'm not looking forward to telling Cadence after school. I know he is no longer in pain, but it still sucks balls.
To keep my mind off of it I'll be putting together my exercise bike.
