My chest muscles are my strongest, so I always love those days, @darlene . You'd think I would be great at push ups, but not so much.... Pushups are a full body exercise. It has been a very slow progression for me to increase my ability to pump out the pushups. I started pushups on an incline. When I finally moved to pushups on the floor I did an eccentric movement. The movement from an elevated plank down to the floor looked like a normal pushup. I then dropped my knees to push back up to the starting position. Knees come off the floor and I go back to starting position. Repeat. Eventually I was able to do a low number of pushups without dropping to my knees. I did those movements and then reverted back to the eccentric movement once I had a break in my form. I've built my strength up to the point that I'm able to do 4x8 of pushups without the use of my knees. I know I'm not knocking out a lot of pushups but I'm happy with the progression. Someday I hope to be able to do chinups without a band.

Boot camp this morning was a series of AMRAPs, ten minutes per body area with four workouts for each. I did well keeping up and did as many as the non preggos, so I'm happy.

On Wednesday, I did a 30 minute upper body workout. Mostly chest and triceps. I did a 5k this morning before work. I'm hoping to get to Power HIIT tomorrow and then get in a run with DS on Sunday. The last month has been so crazy, I really need to keep consistent with my workouts.

I did a barre class yesterday that usually kicks my ass, but a sub was teaching and it was kind of meh. I'm disappointed.

I did Power HIIT this morning.
We did 3 sets of 4 exercises. We did each exercise for 45 seconds then rested for 15 before moving to the next. We repeated the 4 exercises twice, then did a full-body move for 2 minutes before getting a longer rest and moving to the next set of exercises.
I hadn't been to the class in over a month because of everything going on in my life, so I felt a bit out of shape but glad I was able to do it.
I did not like the one-legged burpees (haha, AC tried to change that to burgers).

One legged burpees!? Sounds like they managed to make burpees even worse. I'm impressed.

Double burpees are equally horrible:double kick out, double jump at the top.

Took E to boot camp with me this morning even though I did not want to go. Lots of lunges and free weights. I was the only PG/PP/DR mama today so I got lots of one on one mods. I'm glad I went, but I'm looking forward to running tomorrow instead.

The last couple weeks I've only worked out a few times, and 20 minutes at a time. I need to get back on track, and I want to try for 5x/wk at 30 minutes each. I don't know why it's so hard to get motivated but it is. I'm changing into workout clothes as soon as I get home so I won't have the option not to workout.

Planned on doing some overload bench work with boards. Started my workout and light weights felt like hell so I settled in for a reload. Then things felt better so I slowly worked my way up to about 110% of my 1 rep max for a set of 3 with a 3 board. ETA: Since I tend to speak my own language a lot of the time with this stuff, this is what I was doing except I have a "board" that attaches to the bar so no one has to hold it.

I'm not sure where else to put this: CD1 is right around the corner. I ate entire movie theater box of peanut m&ms and now I feel gross and am pretty sure I am just going to say "fuck it" and not work out today.

I did 30 minutes on the elliptical again. I think for this week I'm shooting for Monday through Friday with Saturday/Sunday being my off days.
I made a deal with myself that I could only watch Skins on netflix while working out. That seems to have been a good motivator. 😉

Back on the horse today and forget about yesterday! Thanks. CD1 was yesterday so I should be able to get a handle on my cravings today.

I hope it is okay if I jump in here. I was doing really great with workouts back in June, but then I went on vacation and completely off the rails for most of July. I started back up again last week and would really love a regular check in to help keep me accountable.
I woke up this morning and did a weight workout at home (working through the Bowflex Select Tech 6 week full body fitness plan) and then a 20-minute walk. I have been aiming to alternate running with these strength workouts 5-6 times a week. Even though getting up at 5 AM is seemingly painful at the time, I find it so much easier to stick with my nutrition goals when I start the work day with a hard workout under my belt.
Thanks to everyone for sharing their journeys—it has been very inspirational to read through this thread.

I 99% sure broke my pinky toe yesterday and it is so, so painful. How do I work out now? I was doing C25K, but i cannot put any weight on my foot. I keep thinking of that arm bicycle at the gym, but I cancelled my gym membership. A girl on BMB said her broken toe hurt for 6 months and now I'm like, fak.

Sorry to hear about your foot that is such a bummer. Can you maybe focus on upper body and core work to gain strength while the foot is out of commission? Also, swimming might be an option for cardio if you have access to a pool.

I honestly hate a rest day. I know they're necessary, but I get so antsy because I'm not burning as much. That's why one must lift- so you burn more at all times.

It's deadlift day. I'm ready to pick things up and put them down. Then pick them up again. And put them down again.

@rocknroll tagged me over here forever ago and I've just been really slacking lately. I've decided that I'm going to really go at it again so here we go.
I did bbm for a couple months then fell off that wagon after not seeing alot of results that I felt equaled my effort. Probably I was just impatient and also eating my calories burned.
I've done ww for 3 months now and the first month stuck hard with it. 2nd month fucked off and this last month done about a week and a half. All that and I've lost 12lbs quite a few inches and it never came back while I was fucking off.
So I'm going to combine exercise and ww and really work hard for the next couple months to see where it takes me.
I'm going to be using you guys to hold me accountable. Help me!

The rowing machine is often used by pro runners who are sidelined. It's a great full body workouts.

So my plan is to take workout moves I liked in the past and make my own little work out routine.
I'm going to see how cardio 3x a week works out for me. On the other days I think I'll rotate between arms and legs.
I really like cardio so I'm looking forward to it. I might just do random bbm cardio videos from YouTube. I really liked most of her stuff.

Did back and biceps yesterday and chest/shoulders/triceps today. I think cardio tomorrow! I am loving gym time before work. It's really great throwing on gym clothes and heading out with the kids then getting ready for work in peace haha.

Pick things up, put them down. Tried to block pull 365, it liked staying on the blocks. Jerk.
