Does anyone else buy a ton of baby clothes because they are just so cute? J has so many clothes.
As an FYI babies r us is having a trade in event. If u take in a basdinet, bouncer, car seat, or rock n play they will give you a 25% off coupon to buy baby gear. I was going to take the bassinet to goodwill but I think we will take it to bru and get 25% off a convertible car seat.
J is alternating between 3 and 4 naps now. I wish he would go to 3 longer naps. He is still waking up twice at night to eat. How many times do you all feed motn?

Then I feel guilty when stuff barely gets worn. Some nights she wakes once to feed, others twice.

H pretty much keeps R in sleepers because he doesn’t want to bother with clothes. So, on weekends I have to “dress her up.” We are not really buying much at this point, since T had a lot of clothes.
R consistently naps three times a day and has four 7oz bottles. She goes to bed between 6-7pm depending how her last nap went. She wakes one or two times, but I don’t feed her.
I got up at 6am with R today. She had been falling back to sleep, but H was complaining about her short naps - so, I figured I’d see how this went. She’s been napping for 1.5 hours now.

king26, A has only been sleeping well for 6 days now. But, he gets up twice to eat. 12 or 1 and a little after 5am. I’m not sure when I should see if he’ll just fall back asleep without eating since he’s ebf. I know it’s a little different with ff.

I’m the opposite, I think the clothes are cute but I can’t justify spending a lot on something he’ll wear for only a few months. Unless I need something specific, we cycle through the same clothes until he grows out of it.

I’m so happy for you that A is finally starting to sleep well for you! @easilyunamused Thank you! I’m still apprehensive, like it’s just a long fluke. 😝 But I am so happy he seems to be taking to it well. I mean, since the 3rd night he’s gone to sleep on his own without any crying.

I really think getting them to sleep at night is the easiest. After j learned how to he really cries when he goes to bed at night or after he eats during the night. J did great sleeping at night for 3 weeks then started to wake up more frequently again. I let it go on 3 or 4 days then we had to go back to sleep training again but it only took 2 days now he's only waking up twice a night again. If he wakes up more he usually puts himself back to sleep within 5 minutes.

king26, N is all over the place. some nights he will wake once to eat, some nights he wakes up every 3 hours and won't settle unless he eats. IDK! we just have taken the approach that if it's less than 3 hours we do not feed, and we try to push it to four hours, so if it's been 3 hours and he wakes up we attempt the paci for a bit and either he goes back down or we give up and feed. @easilyunamused, so happy A is sleeping better for you! FX it's not a week long fluke, haha! For clothes - I go to carters and i want to BUY IT ALLLL but i don't. I've cut down a lot because my friend started giving me her kids old clothes and he's growing so quickly it was starting to be a total waste of $ to buy something. We have so many clothes (given to us, luckily) that we never used for newborn - 6mo. I want to put him in cute overalls and outfits but I restrain and don't spend money. Also, I'm lazy about putting him in real outfits. I was proud I graduated him to onesies and pants from sleeper onesies LOL We're going to Ikea today when I get out of work at 3. Any suggestions on things I should look at to buy for N? We tried avocado last night! It went hilariously bad. I wish I could upload a video here so yall could see his face.

addymac, haha! M hated avocado too! But she hates most food, so 🤷 Hopefully N likes whatever you try next. As for Ikea, I have no advice because I get overwhelmed every time I got there!

Ben was so sad because he LOVES avocado and really wanted N to just eat it up but the kid was NOT interested in ANY sort of non milk food. I'm sad we have to wait a few days to try more food because i just want to try ALL THE FOOOD. i'm also starving all the freakin time. Anyone else? I assume its bc im still BFing/pumping but I just am hungry hungry hungry. I need to go out to eat like a four course meal to get full and sort of reset my stomach to not be permanently hungry. Last meal we ate was so much food and DH was full and i was like I'd like some more please... and he was like WHAT?! sorry bro....

addymac that's funny about the avocado. I thought it was the perfect first food too, but ds1 hated it so much that I haven't tried it with baby h yet. Baby h wakes similarly to what @easilyunamused said, around 1 and then around five. He's half formula half bm, so I usually nurse him at those times. I love baby clothes but don't buy alot. During the week, it's easier for dh to keep him in a sleeper and then daycare dresses him if they want to or if he has a blowout, hehe. I do, however, buy for occasions. I'm a sucker for Valentine's, Easter, etc outfits--just can't resist. I got dh a professional family photo shoot for Valentine's day and we just finished. I chose to have it outside bc I love outside lighting and scenery, but it was so cold and ds1 was grumpy. I'm hoping we got at least a few good shots. I have a full on head cold again. These kids just keep getting me sick and I feel like my immune system is at an all time low. Dh hasn't caught the last few illnesses but I have.

I’m sorry your sick again thinkchocolate05, I’ve been bracing myself for a couple weeks to not catch something from them since one or the other is always sick ugh. addymac, yup I’m starving all.the.time., way more than with pregnancy but I also think it’s from being cooped up so much with winter that isn’t helping it. I’m sure N looked hilarious trying avocado. Tell DH not to be too disappointed, he just might end up liking it after a few times.

The first 4 weeks we have j food he would eat 3 to 5 spoons then stop. However the last 2 weeks he has been eating a fill 1 oz. Serving. One night he screamed for more and had almost 2 full oz. He is really liking it. We tried banana today and it was a hit. Apple's are ok..pears he like pretty well. He really likes sweet potatoes, sweet potatoes and apples mixed, avocado, and sweet potatoes with cinnamon. I made plain bananas that he had tonight and made bananas with nutmeg for next week. I found a list of 9 spices safe to try so I'm trying to get them in while I'm making his food.

Sure the ones they recommend for little ones are: Pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, garlic, basil, rosemary, dill, mint, and oregano. They also said lemon or orange zest is ok. We have done cinnamon and nutmeg and I plan on garlic next.

I use to buy a ton of clothes for my first. I always struggled to get him to wear everything, becuase everyone else also bought a ton! I have a rule when it comes to clothes, everything has to be worn st least once. DS1 was always small so clothes lasted forever! He is 3, but still wears 2T and I swear some 18 month could fit him. H is the opposite he is growing out of clothes to fadt, so the last 2 months I have been limiting what I buy. I mean I do have clothes from DS1, actually all of them. However, the sizes are not matching seasons. So I barely get to use them for Hudson.

Re: clothes. We somehow have ended up with a ton and there’s been a lot not ever worn. Especially nicer outfits. DD is wearing 6-9 & 9 month stuff now. The pants all might as well be spandex though, they are so tight on her chunky legs and belly.

R was a fuss pot all day. All naps were under an hour, even after a bath. Hopefully, she sleeps well tonight.
Tomorrow morning I’m getting our taxes done.

Super short naps - like 20 min and just fussy all day. ☹️ Hoping he sleeps well tonight. I’m so tired and I’ve barely been waking up at night, dh has done most of the wake ups lately bc N eats 1-2x per night but wakes up like 4 other times and needs to be shushed back to sleep. Ugh. So over r.

Add me to the fussy baby who won’t nap! My husband pointed out that 6 months is a growth spurt. I forgot, so I’m hoping the fussiness and lack of sleep are due to leap, teeth and growth spurt!
