My boss asks me every time I see her when I plan on going on leave. I live an hour away from my hospital so if it were up to me, I'd finish my shift on my due date, go into labor and take the elevator to the L&D floor.
I only have about 4 weeks of leave saved up so everyday counts.

Anyone else’s belly go from the usual firm/hard to soft? Mine has done this a few times that I’ve noticed and I’m assuming it’s from the baby changing positions just find it odd.

adeline I hope your toe heals up. DD ended up needing stitches in her lip today after running into bleachers at daycare. She was so brave though. She didn’t flinch or cry at all when they gave her the “Superman medicine” (numbing) or “magic thread”. I love doctors who are that good with kids.

Im planning on working up till I go into labor. I did that with DD too and ended up with an induction date (she was 2 weeks late). Since my doctor is now delivering at a different hospital further from my house, I’m secretly hoping I go into labor after church since I’ll only be 15 min from the hospital from there.

I think I caught the cold that's been going around my work, and it sucks. I'm all exhausted and achy and I just wish I could sleep for like 12 hours straight but work.

I plan on working til I go into labor or whenever the midwife says I have to stop working. Last time I had to quit working at 36 weeks due to hypertension. So ideally not that, but at least with this job I have short term and long term disability if I do need to go out before delivery.

I plan to work right up until the end. I get 16 weeks of maternity leave and want every minute of that with the baby. With DS I worked up until 40w3d. I went into the hospital for an induction at 40w4d.

I’m sitting in the lab for my one hour glucose test. I am about a half hour in, I think. I’m already dreaming about the bagel & iced coffee I plan on getting on my way home.

itsmemeg, mine is usually soft, all three of my babies like(d) to camp out really low and back. But sometimes changes position and are very much in the forefront. I find it uncomfortable, but very normal.

I will be working until I go into labor, if all goes well. I'm waiting to hear back from my doctor, but the ultrasound tech this week insinuated I still have previa. So I'm not sure how that will affect everything.

My 21 year old cat died last night. His brother had died right before DS was born so it's a little strange, but he was old and sick. It's the first time I'll have to explain death to DS and I have no idea what I'm going to tell him.

I passed my GTT! The results uploaded this morning on my way downstairs and it's my lowest "score" of the 6 that I've taken over the course of my three pregnancies.

So F likes to do the wiggle dance at night. It makes it hard for me to sleep. I just want to stay up and feel him move :-)

Speedy, I thought of you this morning because my coffee has been giving me heartburn. I started making lattes instead so that might work for you? Eta-plus extra protein from milk. Your H will approve of the extra protein for gains, yo.

jessila I'm so glad I have someone I can commiserate with about a nutrition obsessed hubby lol. I woke up early enough this morning to have coffee at home and it doesn't seem to be bothering me like the coffee at work. We drink almond milk - hubby likes the reduced calories and I'm sensitive to lactose - so I'm wondering if I bring some almond milk for my coffee here if it might help. Something to try anyways. It's super warm here today and I'm sweating so I just had some OJ at snack for now.

I did put more coffee in than in the last few days though so I guess I'll have to keep it cut back. H isn't as nutrition obsessed as he used to be. Or maybe I just don't pay as much attention to him talking about it as I used to. I'm sure once he starts his spring cut, he'll be talking about it more because low calorie=cranky H.
