Hey. I slept in and since then we’ve been bumming around the house. I’m watching the Olympics and probably will be all weekend. We don’t have anything planned for the day, maybe we will play outside but the high is only supposed to be 11.

Swimming was a total trainwreck. Colin kicked and screamed and threw himself on the side of the pool. He stalked away from me at one point and never even dipped his toes in, it was insane. DH asked him to apologise but he won't. We were going to bake cupcakes together for DH's birthday but I feel like I have to take something away given how awful his behavior was. Sigh...
Chase is on eye drops now but aside from the congestion, he's doing great.
My ILs apparently told DH they thought we should postpone but apparently they were just buying time so my SIL could check that I still wanted to go...? Kind of an odd approach but we're now good to go. Which is good because we both need a break!

As long as the weather cooperates, we break ground in 3 weeks!!!! We'd be in by mid June if the weather stays good. So I'm anticipating mid July lol.

MH took M to an indoor playground place that I had a Groupon for so I’m sipping a martini catching up on recorded tv while H is napping.
I have some towels in the washer so at least I’m doing something...

Hi! MH is leaving tomorrow so I’m sad. It went by very fast. It’s sucks because I want him to quit this job so bad but I want to finish school first without any loans. And of course I need this degree to work in the hospital I want to work in. Blah. First world problems.
Anyways- he took the big kids out to meet up with my dad. Letty is napping and I’m doing algebra homework! I’m horrible at math so this 8 weeks should be fun. I only took one class this time so I wouldn’t be overwhelmed since math is challenging to me.

sands42 you inspire me. I had all intentions of doing my post-grad 30 credits while I'm on leaving but mostly I snuggle the baby and watch trashy tv. There's this little part of me that thinks I'm not going back to work.

So nursing/weaning-related question:
C nursed for what I think was the last time two mornings ago, so well over 48 hours. I haven't had a let-down and have only expressed milk a bit in the shower. I'm not to the point of major pain or anything but it's a bit uncomfortable, particularly on one side. I could pump, but will that encourage production? Is there anything else I need to be doing to help this process along?
eta: I really can't remember from when B was a baby...I feel like my process was similar but I had less milk at that time than I do now so it just kind of...went away?

I remember wearing a too tight sports bra for a few days.

Definitely don't pump. It will trigger milk production. I would just hand Express or use the hot water in the shower to make you less uncomfortable and wear a tighter bra like Kim said. If you get uncomfortable and you can't take a shower, a hot towel help.

MH and C have been out in the snow playing and are heading to sled with friends. Poor L wants to go out sooo bad, but she's still not feeling great so I don't want her out in the cold. I'm entertaining her by letting her vacuum.

C and I went to the mall and I spent way too much st Build a Bear. The best he wanted was $35 but only $15 if you bought another one. So I bought a $28 bear and spent only $3 more than I would have for one. But it's still ridiculously expensive especially when you add accessories. You can't have a Kylo Ren bear without a light saber.
Now we are watching tv while I wait for bed time so I can catch up on my DVR.

wineallthetime he’s supposed to be gone for 84 days but his site is reducing so he might get to go to another Africa site or he might be out of a job. He has applied for another job already that should be hiring in April.... we are hoping he will get that one because it’s pays better and has a better rotation.

Evie had a great time, although I think she enjoyed her $14 snow cone more than anything! It really was a cute show.

Hi all, not much new here, gross and rainy out. We went to Costco and to an open house. It was underwhelming for the price, patience is hard. Also I am pretty sure MH won't compromise on what he has envisioned in his head, and I don't think it exists, at least in our budget.
We hung out this afternoon and trying to clear some clutter spots and just throw out stuff..I think I'll tackle my makeup next, it's due for a good purge.
Oh so a neighbor in our building stalked me a few weeks ago to suggest we get together since we have kids similar ages..sure, even though that is literally the only thing we have in common. So today he calls, leaves a VM, and texted me to see if we were free this weekend. Eh, nope. I know we need friends, but he wants like a full family playdate in our apts I think? Or dinner? I played off that we had a lot going on this weekend and maybe next weekend we could get coffee and hit the playground out back. So now I'm on the hook for actually doing something next weekend. Blerg. Is this weird or is this why we don't have friends around here?
