notmoose, you just have to get through like 1 minute during the anatomy scan when they're looking at the baby's junk, lol. then that's the last time you'll be tempted (at least it was IME, after the anatomy scan it doesn't really come up anymore during appointments). That's what I keep telling myself... I just have to get through the AS and then I'm home free. I'm just worried I'll cave the day of or something and change my mind.

I took a long hot shower and it helped for a couple hours. I stopped by CVS and got a neti pot and nasal spray. I tried the neti pot and some Tylenol and as of an hour ago I am feeling better, finally. Thanks for asking! I love my netipot. I went from a sinus infection every couple months to maybe three in the last several years. I still have year round allergies, but it helps so much. I think I'm a believer in the neti pot. My nose started burning today and I used it and I seem to be doing ok now *knock on wood*.

My bestie is onto me. She texted last night "we think you're pregnant" and I was like "why?". She told her H that we were meeting up on Friday and apparently HE said "I bet she's pregnant and that's why she wants to see you." I was like, GDI, dude. I haven't seen her since mid December. I didn't deny it but she also didn't outright ask and then we started texting about other stuff. She just tried to call me though and I didn't answer. I'll call her after my appointment and if she asks I'm not going to lie. We'll still meet up tomorrow for sure though. Any chance your husband talked to hers and let something slip? After we told my mom at Christmas, I said to DH, whew, we finally told someone. He looked at me blankly and said that he’d aleady told a bunch of people at work! He did wait to tell his family until after the genetic testing was back, but didn’t think keeping quiet applied to everyone he knows because I didn’t specifically tell him not to tell x, y, or z. Nope lol. They are friendly but not friends. I'm not really mad, it's just funny that that didn't even cross her mind but it did his.

My US went great. She said everything looked wonderful and the HB was 157. She asked if we had found out the sex through NIPT and when I said yes, a boy, she pointed out the little nub and said they never see that on girl babies. 😂 So it's looking like those chromosomes are spot on. And the NP was able to order the carrier screening for MH, so early next week he will get that done and we will go from there. I go back in 4 weeks for a regular checkup and 3 weeks after that for the AS.

Now I'm just worried I'll see a penis on screen on accident or the U/S tech will slip and say she or he.

Also, my doctor surprised me by scheduling my anatomy scan for next Thursday! I'm so excited. But I'm waffling on staying team green. Who was my team green buddy? I need someone to talk me down. Me! Stay strong! Be surprised! We can do it!

Tomorrow (hopefully) ends 10 days of solo parenting. I’ve hit a wall. I just don’t have it in me tonight to wash the dishes and fold the laundry. It’s been like an adrenaline rush the last nine days. I honestly can’t believe I’ve held it together as well as I have.
The worst thing to happen was I forgot to do DD’s hair Sunday so she went to church with bed head. Oh, I also forgot the kids’ water bottle for daycare on Wednesday.

For me, it was hard to even tell what i was looking at until the tech spelled it out for me lol. So even if there was a penis, I wouldn't have known. She was showing me the legs and between them and I was like oooh that's what that was haha.

Well it's officially still going to be a surprise telling my bestie today. She didn't outright ask me, and we weren't able to talk on the phone. She won't be totally shocked though, which is probably a good thing. I don't think she will be expecting that I'm so far along. She will be thinking that I found out last weekend when I texted her about meeting up.

The Dr phoned me back and I now have a normal risk level. My first Dr was mistaken when she said my elevated risk was 1/294 it was actually higher than 1/50! Anyway even though NIPT isn't available to the public here this Dr can arrange for it (we have to pay for it, and it's not cheap, but after this scare we just want the peace of mind so that's what we're going to do.

Did the NT scan and first trimester screening blood work yesterday! All looked good on the ultrasound, so I’m happy!
The doctor also took a look at the cyst that’s on my left ovary (been there for several months now). It’s gotten a little bigger so she’s gonna continue to monitor it closely. It’s 7 cm now and she said if it gets to 10 cm, it’ll need to come out. 😬 On the bright side, looking forward to having extra ultrasounds! With the NT scan yesterday, we’ve already had 3! Got another one scheduled for March and then our Anatomy Scan scheduled for April 3!

I have to get blood drawn today to test for spina bifida. For some reason I thought I had that test done already 🤷♀️Then it's the a/s on the 27th. Why is is that there's always something to worry about? I just want to relax and enjoy being pregnant!

catladymeow, i don't know if it's different in canada, but i know in the u.s. if you have to have to pay out of pocket for the tests, the NIPT companies charge you a flat fee that's a couple of hundred dollars-- i.e. $200-$500, vs. the $3000+ that they would bill your insurance. so you might want to contact the company directly and see what options they have.

That is the case here too! I have to pay $350US. It's not an inconsequential amount but H and I need the peace of mind! You can't just get it without first being flagged by the normal serum first tri testing though, which is nuts since that test has so many false positives.

These headaches are killing me. Magnesium (250mg) and Gatorade seem to be helping me. I was having daily headaches with full blown migraines a couple of days a week and they've been greatly reduced.

I have a ton I *want* to do but very little motivation to get up and actually do it. I convinced myself to get up and take care of a few small things and now I'm making a list of the bigger things we need to do and get while I have a snack

I'm only working a half day today (only have 45 min left) and yet all I have thought about this morning is going home. I'm chipping away at an audit, but it's taking me forever because I keep checking all of the boards I frequent and the news.

These headaches are killing me. My dr told me to drink 96oz of water a day. I was very skeptical as they didn't feel like dehydration headaches (I was already drinking 60oz a day plus other fluids) but I figured I'd give it a try since they were debilitating. It's been a week and a half and no bad headaches since *knocks on wood* Hope you can find some relief!

I have had headaches since Monday. Would return 4 hours after taking the Tylenol. Today, it has been 7 hours since I took Tylenol and it is slowly creeping back. I have been trying to drink extra water yesterday and today so hopefully it is helping.

It went great! She bought me a baby gift preemptively lol. A blanket and a board book. She was really happy for me, and a little bummed that she's not pregnant yet. Which I was expecting. They're on cycle 8 and I'm hoping for a BFP for her soon! I stuffed my face with Mexican food so I'm good til morning.

Now I'm just worried I'll see a penis on screen on accident or the U/S tech will slip and say she or he. We told them at the beginning we didn’t want to know, so they warned me when they’d be looking there and I turned my head. It was 100% worth the wait. The #1 best moment from DDs birthday was MH saying “it’s a girl! A beautiful baby girl!” Before he was totally overcome and could no longer speak. Way more exciting than the nurse telling Me over the phone, there were no Y chromosomes on my blood work. No feelings there.

I slept really well last night so I'm thrilled about that. Lately it's been taking an hour or so to fall asleep and then around 12-1 I'll wake up to pee but be awake for another 1.5 hrs. Then my alarm goes off at 3:30. 😫 I'm going to call my mom in less than an hour to see if I can stop by soon after. I'm so excited!!!
