I feel horrible today. I'm laying on my couch crying because my head hurts so bad. Luckily my 2 yo is being an angel. Has your head gotten any better?

I dunno how you guys have the energy to clean and sanitize your house. I throw up cooking and doing the dishes. Waiting for this second trimester magic. I’ll sit with you. Have room for one more? I can’t change my daughters poopy diapers without at least one epic gag fest. Screw the house; the dogs, toddler and cat are not impressed with shiny floors and clean counters.

I'm doing pretty well on the nausea front but cleaning is still pretty low on the priority list. I'm getting it done but I've been letting more time pass in between doing things.

I bought us a robotic vacuum on Black Friday since our cleaning person had flaked out on us a few weeks earlier. I knew I wasn’t going to be doing floors while pregnant and cleaning up after two kids. It works surprisingly well on the hardwoods and tile. The bedrooms are the only carpeted rooms and they’ve seen cleaner days, lol. i do miss having the bathrooms and windows cleaned for me though, sniff.

The majority of DS's care falls on me even though we both work full time and I'm growing a human. Therefore DH cleans the house.

The water fountain at the kids’ preschool has been slightly clogged the last week+ so I haven’t let my children stop at it when I drop off or pick up. So DH comes home yesterday after picking them up and mentioned the non-draining fountain, says when he let them get a drink, 5yo DD stuck her hand in the pool of water and sucked it off saying “Look Daddy, I can drink from my fingers!” 😳😩🤢 My children are going to get absolutely EVERY illness possible. 😲 I seriously made that face. Why would H let her?!?! 🤢🤢🤢

I took a long hot shower and it helped for a couple hours. I stopped by CVS and got a neti pot and nasal spray. I tried the neti pot and some Tylenol and as of an hour ago I am feeling better, finally. Thanks for asking!

My BP was 146/77 today at the doctor. It's been highish every time I go, but I think it's white coat syndrome.
He said I might need meds but would retest before I left. It was down to 123 over something. Whew

Also, my doctor surprised me by scheduling my anatomy scan for next Thursday! I'm so excited. But I'm waffling on staying team green.
Who was my team green buddy? I need someone to talk me down.

It was down to 123 over something. Whew This is me every doctor’s appointment, every pregnancy. I really argued against getting the hypertension diagnosis because mine always goes back to a normal range by the end of an appointment. But then the made me do a 24hr urine collection after my 10w appt this pregnancy and the amount of protein in my urine was high enough to indicate that my bp spikes more often than just at the dr’s office. I have low level anxiety (unmediated), so I really shouldn’t be surprised. So now they have had me taking a baby aspirin every day for the last month and my bp measured 120/80 last week at the beginning of the appointment and no protein in my urine, so yay! Glad I don’t need any serious meds. Did you have any bp problems last pregnancy?

Getting a cleaning lady is definitely one of the better decisions I've made recently.

We have a roomba with a dead battery in the garage. I keep telling MH to fix it and just leave it where the dogs sleep so at least that area doesn’t pile up. That’s my contribution to the problem, finding solutions. Maybe I’ll remind him to fix it again this weekend, I don’t have the energy to find it in his ratnest of a garage!

Of course on the day I can sleep in, I'm up at 5. I hope once we've shared our news this weekend I'll be sleeping better. I think it's excitement and nerves.

notmoose, you just have to get through like 1 minute during the anatomy scan when they're looking at the baby's junk, lol. then that's the last time you'll be tempted (at least it was IME, after the anatomy scan it doesn't really come up anymore during appointments).

I am slacking on cleaning and laundry too. I started making DS(13) clean his own shower and I'm going to work on getting him to clean the whole bathroom. I've basically just been wiping everything down with Lysol wipes. DS helps vacuum the house too, so that's a huge help. I could use some extra energy to dust because that's the worst right now

This week feels so long. I have a busy clinic this afternoon and I'm just so tired.
I'm trying to decide if I want to do family photos for DS's second birthday (next month) and newborn photos in July or just newborn photos. I'm sure we could get some of just DS in July. Our photographer is super affordable so cost isn't really an issue, but I don't know that we need family photos within a few months of each other.
I felt a pretty distinctive kick last night while laying in bed talking DH. I can't wait for movement to become more regular.

I went from a sinus infection every couple months to maybe three in the last several years. I still have year round allergies, but it helps so much.

I had my cerclage on Monday and have had an off again/on again since we got home from the hospital. I finally called and the nurse said it isn't a spinal headache if Tylenol is working. That's a relief, but I don't want to Keep taking Tylenol either. She suggested some caffeine and drinking more water.

I’ve been slacking on posting. I’m more a dirty lurker than anything.
I too have a terribly messy house. 1st trimester kicked my booty, and now my thyroid levels are off so my energy is still in the pits. I just do my best when I can, which is super infrequent. I will purchase a deep cleaning of my house at the beginning of July.

My house is embarrassingly filthy too. I have a stick vacuum i run over the kitchen and living room, where the toddler spends most of her days, but the bathrooms, dusty, are ew. We have company coming tonight though, and they have a mobile infant, so I've got to clean all the things today.
Is anyone else dealing with no appetite? Not nausea or food aversions, just not hungry. I've barely hit 800-1000 cal the past 4-5 days. Just don't feel like eating.

My bestie is onto me. She texted last night "we think you're pregnant" and I was like "why?". She told her H that we were meeting up on Friday and apparently HE said "I bet she's pregnant and that's why she wants to see you." I was like, GDI, dude. I haven't seen her since mid December. I didn't deny it but she also didn't outright ask and then we started texting about other stuff. She just tried to call me though and I didn't answer. I'll call her after my appointment and if she asks I'm not going to lie. We'll still meet up tomorrow for sure though.

Obviously when there's a lot of vomiting, intake can be really low for a long time, and baby still develops fine. But that is quite low so if you can have something to boost your calories, even if you're not hungry, you may want to.

She's going to have to keep her mouth shut for an extra day, is my worry in telling her over the phone tonight. I don't want her telling her mom and sister (who I'm fairly close with) until Saturday afternoon when I've told everyone else.

After we told my mom at Christmas, I said to DH, whew, we finally told someone. He looked at me blankly and said that he’d aleady told a bunch of people at work! He did wait to tell his family until after the genetic testing was back, but didn’t think keeping quiet applied to everyone he knows because I didn’t specifically tell him not to tell x, y, or z.

DS has been fever free for 2 days so he's probably not contagious at this point. I disinfected the entire house again! Thought of you notmoose😊 I opened up all the windows, even though it's like 25 outside today, but it was nice to get some fresh air circulating through the house. Now I'm exhausted and DS is napping so I'm off on a Netflix binge.

I have pretty bad anxiety and the dr office makes it worse. He doesn't seem too worried about it since it went down after about 10 mins. Hopefully it's nothing.
