Omg. I just got chills when she tried to excuse her female colleagues and they said. “NO, we want to see you. We are supporting you.”
I’m not crying, you’re crying.

She was trying to excuse them so they could go catch Joe Biden speak. And they're like, "no, girl. We're here for you." The sisterhood, you guys.

I think Nancy gets the hillary clinton treatment. People are scared of strong women.

The Rob Porter thing is so awful. John Kelly and Orrin Hatch stocking up for him is all we need to know. I want these people gone so badly. CNN reported that Hicks had a role in drafting the WH’s response to the story which is fucked up on many levels.

Guessing the whole staff skipped the "handling relationships with co-workers" section of the ethics handbook along with every other section.

Mo Brooks just told Newshour he's a "hell no" on the spending bill bc it doesn't pay for itself. Except he voted yes on the tax plan.

Like imagine the FBI telling you an employee can’t get a security clearance because he abused his wives and then not only keeping him on but giving him more responsibility.
That is straight trash.

Oh hey Germany has a government! That's good I truly don't understand how this whole coalition government thing works (or doesn't work). I need an explainer video with illustrations.

I feel like an idiot but their levels of depravity and incompetence still shock me. Yes, and then I feel dumb for still being shocked at any of it.

Here’s a shocker Verizon will not be using the tax cut to expand networks or give raises but keeping it for shareholders

I mean, besides all of us who've noticed the CEO pay ratios ballooning for decades while real wages for the rest of us backslide. Aside from that, who could possibly suspect such greed?

I particularly like this section of WaPo's coverage from 1991 Hmm, where was DJT in 1991? Poor Walter Boone.

Oh hey Germany has a government! That's good Although it's not official yet. The SPD party has to vote on it, and the Young SPD fraction of the party has been recruiting new members specifically for the purpose of voting *against* the coalition agreement. Since the beginning of the year they've signed up 24,000 new members (total party membership is like 450k). So it's going to stay interesting until the party votes on it - I didn't get a chance to watch the news last night (sick kids. blah.), so I don't know when the vote is supported to take place.

crimsonandclover i do hope they vote in favor of the coalition. I understand the issues the young SPD members have with it, but the EU needs steady leadership RightNow. And as much as Merkel isn't my favorite, she at least provides that for the EU atm.
