I'm worried about Rosenstein. He couldn't possibly be stupid enough to fire him over this, right?

They all are. Or maybe some Republicans wanted this to come out b/c they realized it wouldn't make Trump look as good as some think it does. Maybe the GOP wants him to look bad? Maybe. 🤔

I'm stuck training all day but this memo seems to be nothing. Of course Trump and his base will spin it as something major but I can't believe the GOP went to such lengths to release this memo when it only makes them look bad.

An interesting opinion that I wouldn’t put past the White House.

I love that every other Tweet on the memo starts with "So..."

Flynn Jr calls Comey a “doosh”. Wonder why he keeps poking the bear while he and his dad are under investigation.

"Geraldo opening Al Capones vault was a better reveal than this Nunes memo".... gin and tacos on FB. Nailed it!

I love how unimpressed Comey is with the memo.

This is so not worth the nauseated, foreboding feeling I've had since Ben Wittes tweet this morning.

Out of a sick sense of curiosity, I went to Limbaugh's FB page and as predicted, he and his followers are foaming at the mouth. The importance of the memo and its content is being "underplayed" by the media as "leftists" scramble to keep HRC and President Obama out of jail.

And one more time for emphasis: I know, in the grand scheme of things, this isn’t the hugest deal- but does it bother anyone else to see Lisa Page referred to as Strzok “mistress”. I’m not certain what time I think would be preferable, but she’s an accomplished attorney- not some kept woman. Presumably it was a mutual decision to pursue the affair and I feel like calling her “the mistress” is just an attempt to discredit her and her career.

I don’t like that either. I don’t know what they should be called but again, discrediting. I mean if we’re going to be fair it needs to be a name with the same connotation. Calling him her mister doesn’t have the same sneer as calling her his mistress. I was also yelling at the radio yesterday when they were calling stormy Daniels 45s mistress.

They are highlighting the affair in some ways to discredit their characters. Oh look they will step outside their (his) marriage so they can’t be trusted. It irritates me immensely for some reason

It's absolutely to discredit her and her career, but his as well. If you paint their relationship in as tawdry and unsavory a light as possible, it helps paint the picture that they were engaged in other unsavory activities as well. And yet the man they are trying to paint in a good light is on his third wife and he has cheated on all of them...

Can I just say, whothefuckever decided the messaging strategy Democrats should take is that releasing the Nunes memo, which told us almost nothing we didn't already know, is imperiling national security is a fucking moron. The problem with the Nunes memo isn't that it jeopardizes NatSec. The problem is that it's ridiculous, partisan, cherrypicked tripe that tells us nothing new, but does confirm important information including: 1) the FBI investigation into Trump started before the Steele Dossier, and 2) the dossier was not the only piece of information in the FISA application. Take this moment of "transparency" to point out how little has been revealed that isn't in your favor and move the fuck on, instead of screaming about NatSec. Except that Russia now knows the exact dates Carter Page was under surveillance. I don't think it'd be too difficult for them to figure out the information we learned during that time. Which is potentially problematic imho.

To be fair the FBI was also screaming about national security. Rightfully so.
