milano I'm sure a pound over isn't going to hurt. It's 40lbs for just the child and not TOTAL weight of child + seat, right? I've heard a few seats are the combined weight and not just the kid

Also, this is the one reason I wish I had a scale at home. We don't, so I never know how much my kids weigh

This is extra hilarious to me, because I just came downstairs from putting J to bed and he was insisting that he needed to get out of bed because he was Spider-Man. I have never heard him talk about Spider-Man until tonight, I don't know where he learned about him (not that I care).

Recently A showed H one of the old Adam West batman movies. Now he's really into "Batman saving the Joker and the cat." I have never watched with him, so I have no idea if this makes sense. But I feel like batman isn't meant to be saving Joker...

Most LATCH tops out at 65 lbs combined weight, which translated into roughly 40 lbs of kid weight for most seats (although for the 33 lb seat there, that would be 32 lbs of kid).

I just call it his spider shirt. Maybe I slipped once or something.

She brags to everyone about her hand-me-down Paw Patrol undies. She loved Anna and Elsa long before she saw Frozen. Batman though is "Daddy Batman," which is pretty amazing.

milano my parents got DS a red and blue Spider-Man umbrella for his birthday (he has no idea who that is, but we told him the character on the umbrella was Spider-Man) and now he thinks that anything with a blue/red color combo is 'spiderman'. His water shoes happen to be red and blue, and he calls them his Spider-Man shoes. You don't even know who that is but okay, child.

O had shoes that had what he thought looked like a spider web on them, so he called them his spider web shoes. After playing with my nephew, who had Spiderman shoes, his became Spiderman shoes too, just so he could be like his big cousin. Now he's obsessed with all things superhero.

I'm picking up my mom, my aunt, and my cousin's 18 month old up at the airport tomorrow. They are borrowing one of my carseats. I recently saw a facebook post with the child FFing. I am planning to explain that the law here says RF until 2 and am going to let her use the Extend2Fit so legroom will not be a concern. Hopefully the Grandmas will just go with it, cause I don't want to get caught up in a big debate.

ETA: meaning I would hope they wouldn't make you un-install it and then re-install it FF. My wording was bad.

Hopefully, though the same logic ended up with my oldest FFing before she probably should have... They are actually renting a passenger van so that we can all ride together while they are here, so I'll be meeting them there with the seat and installing it for them. My cousin is sending them without a carseat because she couldn't picture them dragging it through the airport and getting it installed correctly on the plane.

At the pool today, R wanted to ride on my back while I swam. He exclaimed (very loudly) "Mama! You're like a dolph....you're like a whale!"
Thanks kid. Thanks so much.

Well, I'm winning the running for Parent of the year here... J just called me a little while ago and told me Nugget had found a bottle of Advil liquigels and opened it and had one in her mouth. Luckily there were only a few left in the bottle and he called Poison Control and they said she should be fine and to just monitor her for vomiting and make sure she eats a good amount today. I had taken it out of my purse yesterday because I know she sometimes gets into my purse and put it on the table which I thought would be high enough to be safe. Either the dog knocked it down while table-surfing for snacks, or her reach is getting much better, and she got into it while J was in the bathroom for a minute and got at least one in her mouth, maybe more.
Hopefully she's ok, I feel like a total idiot for leaving it out.

Here's a random--I'm having cochlear implant surgery done one my ear this coming Wednesday! I go back and forth between being nervous about surgery, and really excited. Right now I'm in the excited stage. I'm sure I'll hit the "nervous" stage again next week. It's a fairly minor surgery and recovery typically goes well and quick. I'm nervous about the anesthesia even though I know it's NBD.

Once I found A with an old corroded battery and caught her just as she put it to her mouth. It touched her lip and maybe her tongue so I was panicking and calling her Dr and freaking out. She was fine, I got there in time, but there was just no way I could have known the battery was where it was (in a bag filled with other stuff that hadn't been touched in a long time) and A was always a super quick crawler.

We had a GI appt for R today and confirmed she's constipated. They could feel it from an external exam of her belly. So now we get to do a colon cleanse and mirilax until her poop looks like applesauce or oatmeal. Great. Because birthday parties and weddings and pediatric well-visits and potential sleep overs make this coming week a great time to cleanse a 5 yr old's colon and bowels... I'm glad we have some answers and a plan of action, but timing just kinda sucks

And it was never a mess - always pretty predictable. I was scared but it wasn't a big deal. As long as you aren't going on any crazy road trips. Hopefully it's no big deal for you too. Glad you got some answers though.

I'm at my cousins house and P is literally sleeping on my bare boob. She just freaked out waking and not knowing where she was. I'm scared to move. It's 1 am and I slept for 15 mins. I hate life.

Welp. In light of others constipation and awful sleep I was just trying to decide if I should mention that C SSTN for the first time in many months. And most importantly, so did I!
And then she barfed. It was totally out of nowhere and her mood was unaffected. So it could have just been a belly full of STTN boob. And, historically, she's been a very easy barfer. But ugh.
