peachsmama ok good, so it’s not like you’re in trouble? Just have to do something that irritates those around you? flamingo ima free standing sower is what I want when we eventually redo our bathroom. When we were house hunting not having master bath was a major deal breaker for me, dnw to take a bath in the kids tub. sands42 when dh is irritating me I remind myself that he lets me do my tub time every night and I get way less annoyed!!

How annoying am I if I get J minted Valentine's for his class? He is the class dog, so they have to be dog themed and they are darling.

sands42 - That sounds nuts! We had our offer accepted within a week of the house going on the market, with 2 backup offers, and that seemed crazy to me. I would probably lose it in your market! jewels - I would trust your instincts, but as a devil's advocate, Chase's speech has exploded suddenly from 21 to 22 months. It's like night and day with new words almost every day. Second kiddos apparently talk later because they don't have to, I guess. That could be why your doc has been laid back about it.

joelies that’s exactly what she said about 2nd kids. I keep waiting for the ‘expolsion’ But he really only says dada and babbles incoherently. I’m not overly worried bc everything else seems to be progressing normally, but if he’s going to need assistance I’d rather start now and get ahead of it

Yea. Last time the one adviser didn't know i was part of the department ( I was introduced on a conference call multiple times and had been emailing with his assistant for over 6 months, he just has his head stuck so far up his own ass he doesn't see anyone else) and called my boss to bitch about this Abby girl and who the hell does she think she is asking for my files! He chewed him out on my behalf lol.

This was Theo too and I was concerned because he seemed to be so far behind where my other kids were at his age. He wasn't saying much at all a few months ago, and what he said was not very clear. Around 22 months his pronunciation became much clearer and now at 24 months he's stringing together sentences. My pedi said a similar thing about third siblings.

I don't see any harm in scheduling it, I'd rather get in early in the off chance there is a concern. Hindsight is a b*tch and I knew I would have been kicking myself if I hadn't intervened earlier.

jewels my nephew didn't talk until after he was 2. He would just point to his very talkative older brother who would answer for him. Once he did start talking it was like he had been holding on to all these words and no one knew it.

I am over-the-top on many things, but preschool Valentine cards aren't one of them. They get pitched and the kids really only care about the treats, so Target it is. With that said, if Minted puppy valentines make your heart sing, go for it.

I've done cute, clever, handmade Valentine's in the past, but this year I'm realizing she just wants candy and thus her friends probably do too, so I'll likely just go with something along those lines.

I read half the thread at lunch, but didn’t have a chance to post, now I forgot most of what happened this morning. Hope a day of rest was what B needed and he is feeling better. vinosands42 that sucks! I’m sorry. flamingo I found out this past spring that my mom has a soaker tub when I used it while I was pregnant. It was glorious. Garden tubs have nothing on those things. guster Sorry you didn’t get many answers at the appointment. tgrimes Glad you made it safely.

I bought airhead valentines again. Last year, I bought them a few weeks early and ate all the airheads before the week of, so I had to buy a second box two days before V day. The box is out of sight this time because I have zero self-control.

I did get a bag of Valentine-colored M&Ms for cookies I always make, and I've already checked the recipe to see how many I actually need (and how many I can eat before then). I finally made my H hide them.

He likes to pretend he's a dog and his stuffy is a golden retriever that everyone knows. The teachers say hi puppy when he arrives and he is known to bark in response...he also says we are a dog family 🤷. I guess yesterday he had the whole class acting like dogs and cats all afternoon🐕. The teachers seem to think it's fun and fine though. We do need to actually get him a dog at some point though. This article did freak me out though, but I think we are in the normal realm still: jezebel.com/yeah-that-seems-similar-to-the-diaper-fetishist-kink-w-1778656788#!

I've slowly gotten more and more congested as the day goes on. My eyes keep watering and I'm sneezing. Hoping it's just allergies with this insane bipolar weather.

Our kids are not allowed to bring in any food items, which is super fun when trying to get together treats for classroom parties. Can't tell you how many themed pencils I've bought.
Although, after hearing about you guys eating all the valentines, I wonder if the district actually saved me from myself, because same.

That stinks sands42! Thank you flamingo. I have mentioned it to my pedi and she wanted to wait and see. But he is still not talking and everything I’ve read says early intervention is key. I’m interested in the speech therapy but also interested in the early intervention process and how to navigate that. When you say not talking, do you mean he has no words at all or fewer than you would expect at this age? Dude had a lot of words early on and I know that skewed my expectations. X talks but not nearly as much as Dude and I can't tell if he's just not as much of a talker or I should start to worry. ETA: Never mind, I see you specified what words he has ATM further down the thread.

We met yesterday and it's actually the 4th time we've been able to get together. I can't believe how big her girls have gotten! She has a cute pic she took of all the kiddos together (excluding X, he was meandering). If I get permission to share, I will. Or she can if she likes! They all seemed to really enjoy dinner. It's fun for them to get to see all the characters. The boys were all very interested in watching Minnie dance LOL,
