I think I'm in the same boat. I hadn't watched it since it came out and I forgot how gut wrenching it was.

Hide n go seek used to be the best. I could hide in the tub with a glass of wine for 5-10 mins before she found me. She learned quickly though unfortunately.

I'm not caught up yet but I have a funny story that may help. Or not depending on your DDs understanding of the situation.
My friend told her kids that when the ice cream truck was playing music, he was sold out. 🤷🏻‍♀️ They believe it until they were like 10 so maybe it would work for you. I have no idea but I may give it a shot.

My DS has been fighting sleep too Kida. Your gifs made me laugh. I actually avoid going to pee (right next to his room) until he's fallen asleep, lol.
