I made a hair mask last night and am putting it on tonight. It is half coconut oil and half olive oil. You put it on overnight and then shampoo it out the next day. It is supposed to really help restore your hair if you do it weekly so I going to try. This sounds lovely. Do you think it would be effective if just leaving it on for an hour? I shower before bed. And sleeping with that overnight sounds like a disaster waiting to happen lol.

Do you put a shower cap on with it or what do you do to keep it from getting everywhere?

I'm trying to pack and make sure our house is ready for the final walk through with the buyer on Wednesday and MH is driving me up the damn wall. He keeps freaking out about the least important, most irrelevant things possible and then not helping with the actual pressing issues.
I seriously hope we never have to move again.

elodin Kida I am sure it would help even for a shorter time. I am planning on putting a towel over my pillow and also not putting it close to my roots of my hair. Use a clip to hold everything up.

When I've done this I've actually used Saran Wrap to cover my head then also wrap it with a t-shirt. No mess when sleeping! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm excited to start The Handmaid's Tale. But I just weaned myself off of my anti-depressant. So I think I'm going to wait another week or two until my anxiety levels back out. Right now, it would probably send me over the edge. So I'm sticking with light entertainment by watching Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm waiting for my barre class to start. In about ten minutes I'm going to wish I was drinking instead. The barre instructor that came to our hospital for classes had to stop. I actually miss it. ☹️ It's a great work out. Did they stop recently? Maybe they can find a replacement.

Currently listening to DS whine/cry/scream about not being able to play with his sisters tablet. OMG. I've been home for 30 min and I'm annoyed. Ugh

That makes me so angry, Pistol. Have you spoken with the director about why that kid is still in this school after so many incidents?

I'm reaching out to a friend who also teaches barre to see if she or anyone she knows might be interesting in filling the spot.

Pistol I am sorry that your son got hurt. As much as you want consistency, I would make the change to a different daycare. A better fit would be best for him in the long run. Well here's the thing. He has recently been (loosly, dr feels strongly but kinda a try some treatment and see kinda thing) diagnosed with SPD and anxiety. I'm worried moving him schools again (he's only been here for 2 months and likes it for the most part) will cause more issues than it solves. I dunno. I'm going to check it out and see what I think. Our pedi, as a friend, told me that she would probably move them to the other place because she did and she liked it a lot better over their with her own kids.

I had to get yet another steroid shot today now that I am on day 18 of bronchitis and sinus infection. I had a shot last week and then 5 days of oral steroids as well as an antibiotic and it just isn't cutting it.
There will be ice cream in my future.

The Hand Maid's Tale is really good so far. It definitely makes me feel anxious watching it. The book is one of my favorites but I don't think it had as much affect on me as the show.

Pistol I understand about his potential diagnosis, but honestly kids are more resilient than we think. I have had a lot of foster kids with many special needs and they still were able to make progress even with so many changes due to being in foster care and their home life.

That makes me so angry, Pistol. Have you spoken with the director about why that kid is still in this school after so many incidents? So she and I had quite the little chat last week. I told her I do not blame this kid for everything and understand that R has his own issues we are working on but I feel that child (J) exacerbates them. When I inquired about moving R she said the only place she had to move him would be back a class. I explained my concerns about J being right in his face the second we walk in and how that is setting him up for a bad day and was met with a "well we can't completely remove that throughout the day". Upon further conversation, it was revealed (though I don't think I should have been told this) that J was moved up early (but before we came into the picture) because he was having issues with another kid in the monkey class (both R and J are lions). Their thought though is that R has his own issues when J isn't even around so it can't be him causing it. I never have said he causes the issues, just I feel this kid makes them worse. I have witnessed the kid physically blocking the door between the lion and monkey classes and not allowing R to come back out after hanging his stuff up (I intervened there), closing the door between the rooms and leaning on it when R has gone in to hang his stuff up in the mornings (reported it to the teacher, no action other than telling him to open the door back up), and walking up and screaming in my and R's faces while I am squatted down telling R goodbye. None of these actions can be helpful to R. R has also came home telling me J calls him a poopy head (yay 4!) and throws mulch at him when they are on the playground. I have reported these things to the teachers and get a "these boys just go back and forth a lot" response. The director also asked if I had considered going to the children's hospital for a second opinion because "he really seems to lack all impulse control". I told her no and explained to her how that fits in with what our dr told us and the reasons why the dr is confident it is not ODD as they had suggested. I mentioned making a weighted blanket to help him and her response was "ugh. I really hate for him to be dragging a blanket around." I told her the blanket would only be for nap and if he was having an exceptionally rough time maybe he could be somewhat separated and be given the blanket to settle down. The teacher and aid was really excited about the blanket this morning when I brought it in and this evening when I picked him up they said it really helped him at nap time.
