I guess I should bring a swim top in case I want to get in the tub at some point? I'm gonna need to size up...

I guess I should bring a swim top in case I want to get in the tub at some point? I'm gonna need to size up... I thought about that too and tried on a few of my tops a few nights ago. Side boob, under boob, everywhere boob was trying to escape. It was ridiculous. I mean I knew my boobs were bigger but holy moly. I will be sticking with a crossover sleep bra if I do the tub.

I took a shower and sat there forever naked. Dh helped me dress a bit when I got out. I wasn’t planning a water delivery though. So I decided to put some clothes together yesterday. They aren’t in a bag, but my crampy feeling all day was enough to push me to gather a few things. Sports bra nursing tank Black yoga pants Pj pants Several old undies A light robe I’ll toss some socks and a sweatshirt in bc I’m always cold. Need t find the little guy an outfit and grab some comfort items for labor, hygiene stiff and I should be set.

Oooh, I hadn't thought about bringing a swim top/sports bra for laboring in the tub. Good idea. Probably go sports bra because also having #massiveBoob issues.

I had this one and two other bags in my cart. I almost bought this one, but went with the cheapest option, lol.

I went through my box of samples that I've had saved from Sephora so I could pack a little bag of toiletries if i need it.
And I bought granny panties.

My bag and baby’s bag are packed! Except for the things I use every day. But I walked MH through the list of last minute things that will need to be packed if I can’t do it myself and it was hilarious. He was so specific in his list... “yellow Vera Bradley bag to the right of the sink”, “pink Vera bag with medicine in top dresser drawer” (I have a lot of Vera Bradley, okay?!). And of course he had to comment that I will probably be the only person to have ever brought this much stuff to the hospital, but I actually think I did pretty good. One duffel bag for me, a small tote bag for baby, and then H’s backpack. Plus the boppy and breast pump that we’ll keep in the car unless we need it. I had so many Vera bags at the hospital. Her bag, my bag, my little bookbag that I just had some little stuff for me in it so I wouldn't have to carry my big bag. My purse, various toiletry bags. I might have a problem...

Remember to pack yourself some shirts.... Not that I know anybody who recently gave birth and didn't wear a shirt in the hospital for two days..
Thankfully I had some light, loose cardigan things and maternity leggings. So you totally couldn't tell that I was just wearing my bra under my jacket. Lol

How does the baby need their own bag? Wtf is in there? I take our own blankets and clothes for the baby while we're there instead of using what the hospital provided.

How does the baby need their own bag? Wtf is in there? I packed a baby his own bag and had a couple swaddles, a sleeper, one piece outfit, and onesie/pants combo in 2 sizes, burp rags, socks, hats, and a book. I used exactly 1 swaddle, one hat, and one sleeper (for coming home), so I def overpacked. FTM fail. He stayed in the little wrap shirt and swaddle blanket the entire time until we left.

How does the baby need their own bag? Wtf is in there? Ours was mostly empty: 1-3 little outfits, a cute swaddle blanket, and the baby book to put her foot prints in/have visitors sign. They told us there’s be a lot of stuff to take home (and were 100% right) so it was for that as well.

Right now I have baby's stuff in my bag but now I'm second guessing myself and may take a bag just for her.

I was packing my bag last night and I had completely forgot to add toothpaste, toothbrush, and deodorant to my list. That would not have been fun. I have everything packed except phone charger, makeup, and a hair brush.

How does the baby need their own bag? Wtf is in there? I don't. I have just a blanket and a couple outfits for the little guy. FFTC: I have 0 pairs of underwear in my bag. I used the mesh panties and pads they provide until I get home.

I overpacked the baby's bag last time, but this time I'm still bringing our own swaddle blankets and hats. I don't like the pink and blue striped stuff that is standard in the hospital. Plus a coming home outfit and a little picture of DS that he made to put in her bassinet. I'll use the rest of the space in her bag for freebies to take home.

+1 to overpacking the baby bag as a FTM. I had so much stuff and we used 0 of it. This time I'm taking two outfits, a swaddle (just for pictures) and the baby book and all of that is going in my bag.
And +1 to not bringing underwear. Mesh for the win.
My biggest stressor right now is packing a back for my toddler. If she's going to go to school, she'll need those clothes, if it's over the weekend she'll need her gymnastics leotard and the weather is so wonky I have no idea if I should pack warmer clothes or not. My H told me to just pack it all (which would be fine for his parents that can see) but for my parents, who knows what she'll actually end up wearing if I do that.

I just told H I have so many bags to get packed. I mean I have time, since I'm only 30.5 weeks, but still. Luckily. my mom, sister & gram are caring for the older two while we're in the hospital and they all have keys to our house and have to pass us to basically get anywhere they'd want/need to be, so if I forget to pack anything or they need something I didn't pack because weather, they can stop in and get it.

The only bag I've left to pack while we are on our way out the door is DS's, for the same reason. If its over a school day, he needs his uniform. If its on a Thursday, he needs his gym uniform. If its a weekend, he needs regular clothes. At the end of the day, he doesn't need much stuff so I figure it won't be that hard to put it in his little suitcase as we are getting ready to leave.

Back to the topic of swim tops for the tub and shower, I just got this in the mail and I'm really happy with it. Wanted to share. www.amazon.com/dp/B013FV0XDY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_xg3MAbQNAKTMGWhether or not I wear it for labor, I can wear it as a boob-acious nursing mom this summer and not feel scandalous or exposed. Fits like a soft, high cut sports bra. I'm ~36DD right now and L was perfect. I got black to match my current suit bottoms.

Bumping this up:
Now that we have some babies here - maybe you new moms can tell us what you actually used/needed?!

I'm gonna be here a few more days but I'll say I'm very glad I brought Dermoplast and didn't count on the hospital having it. They gave me tucks pads and some pain/itch relieving ointment to smear on the pads, but spraying Dermoplast is a lot easier than spreading ointment.

I’m delivering at a different hospital this time so... this is a good tip!
