My mom sent a little surprise package with a baby outfit, new baby thermometer, nose frida and 2 lovies. My kids love the lovies she got them so much that she has since bought them both a backup, she just bought the baby 2 right off the bat this time. So fun getting surprise mail!

@huster grape juice. You and yh should start drinking it to steer clear of the bug. Or wine.

Josie threw up, too. Stomach bug, I'm guessing. We've never dealt with this before. I just gave them each a small syringe of water, and they both can't keep it down. How long do I wait before I try again? How long do I wait before they are vomit free before I send them to bed? And how many shirts am I gonna go for tonight? By the way, I'm on number four.

PSA: for those of you who buy LOLs ( mwhip) I got one of the new confetti pop one's. I don't think it's worth the $2 more. It pops open with a little bit of paper confetti and you can close it and re-pop it, but it comes with the exact same number of accessories and 1 doll.

tgrimes Not sure if this will help, but M has had two separate episodes of something like this. The first time he started pooping his pants, it took me a while to realize he wasn’t doing it on purpose. He was on antibiotics then. I think he kept thinking he just had to fart and then would poop his pants, but just a little before he ran for the bathroom. This went on for weeks even with giving him probiotics. It’s probably the miralax, but maybe M doesn’t tell anyone because she is embarrassed. I’m surprised the teachers have not picked up on it by her walk and the smell.

Ugh. guster Not well versed in kids and stomach bugs, but I’ve heard a few people here say they cover the sofa in towels and let them lounge there. Maybe a small trash can nearby to catch it. Does your pedi have an after hours line for you to call to try to get some zofran? I’m so sorry.

@wine, mh is now in fix it mode-- baskets of bleach, lysol, water, and paper towels in each room. He's making a list for a grocery store run now.

I actually just put a call into the pediatrician just to find out if I can let them go to bed on super empty stomachs. The towels are a good idea!

I'd hold off on giving anything else until the morning unless they ask. I'd say put them to bed any time unless they're constantly throwing up. I'd keep fresh sheets, blankets and pjs handy in case you have to do any MOTN changes.

peachsmama, lol. I think you could definitely sneak it on someone during their sleep. It's just like top coat. joelies, same here with mine. Cass has hurt herself before by biting so low and actually started chewing on the finger tips until they bled! Something had to be done. Hopefully after a couple of weeks that habit will extinguish. As soon as winter started and he was wearing long sleeves, E has been chewing on sleeves and blankets and really anything. I got a pack of chew bracelets and it seems to have helped with the sleeves but he seems to be chewing more so I can't say it's a success. guster ugh I'm sorry. Pedialyte for tomorrow to get some electrolytes in them. The worst. kim22 glad you made it to the other side! Hope this is the last of your adventures with kidney stones @ladeedah watch that cough please. Flu can easily turn into pneumonia which is much scarier. Don't push it now that you are on the mend.

Oh no guster!! The worst!! When S is pukey I make sure to put her in button up or zip up jammies so I don’t have to take clothes over her head if she gets it on her clothes. Also def put towels down. And maybe keep a clean shirt or 4 nearby for you. Pedialite pops are great if they don’t want to drink. My pedi is not too worried about eating when they are sick. More worried about hydration. But if they are up for it in the morning I would start with plain toast. I always keep a hospital tub nearby to catch the puke if possible. S doesn’t understand getting to the bathroom for it. But I got to where I could tell when it was coming and could grab the tub and hold it under her. Clean up is much easier that way. I hope you get some sleep tonight!

lfig and @wine, thanks! Josie just put herself to bed. Keeping Charlie up for another hour or so to watch him. I might try another small syringe, too. Pediatrician said even a tablespoon of water can keep them hydrated for a period of time so to try that followed by Gatorade/pedialyte and a brat diet in the morning.

trtlcrzy Usually when they make a movie into a series that’s how it is I’ve noticed. I’m so sorry guster!!! Take some activated charcoal! Our go to when one of this kids is sick is that MH sleeps/watches tv with them in the living room all night and then I take day shift. It works out really well. I would let their stomachs settle a bit before trying fluids again. Don’t give more than like 2 oz max at a time. Always layer towels for them to lay on.... buckets on hand. Not trying to brag but my kids get the flu bug like, all the time it seems like. So I’m basically an expert.

The kids are away so the mice will play. What are we doing? Heading to Walmart to pick up a brace for MH’s arm.
Trying to talk him into Mexican while we’re out.
