I made the ridiculously stupid decision to buy a new digital scale. There’s an 8 pounds difference wtf?! I liked the number on my old scale more 😞

I'm sucking lately. I've been tracking my food and calories and it's not going well. I do fine during the day and then get home and just eat too much or drink a tea or soda. I also haven't been cycling. I get home and it's so hot and I'm tired and I just don't feel like it. I need a kick in the butt. This Lose It app tells me how long it will take me to reach my goal if I continue the way I'm going...it keeps getting later and later and making me depressed, which makes me want to eat.
I need a BIG kick in the butt!

klong11 I need a kick too! I haven't even been keeping tracking anymore. I'm good if I make it to the gym 2-3 times a week, which isn't enough. And I also eat way too much in the evenings. If H is home, I don't do as bad, but he's been travelling a lot, so I end up snacking all evening. I've somehow managed to maintain my weight, but I want to continue to lose. It's SO hard!

It is freaking hard!!! Can’t tell you how often I just wanted to have a piece of cheese/peanutbutter sandwich/ ice cream. I’m an emotional eater and it’s hard from time to time. Last time I tried to lose weight was for my wedding I was a little over 40lbs lighter then at the start of my current journey.

Try stepping on it so it turns on to 0 and then step off and let it shut off. Then hop on and weigh yourself. Every time my scale is moved- so every 2 weeks with cleaning the floors- I have to re-calibrate otherwise the readings are off. Also if you have something you know the weight off- like say a 1lb bag of flour or a handweight- put that on there to test it out. If it is still wrong after calibration it may actually be broken. 8# is a lot of to be off by.

I need to stop with the empty calories and look at what I'm actually putting in my mouth. Tomorrow is my birthday day though, and I told Cadence we were getting the little unicorn cake at the store, and damn it, we're getting unicorn cake!

I took a break over the weekend and extended it until Monday, but yesterday I was back on track eating every three hours -- healthier choices and more portioned.
I was doing squats, high knees, jumping jacks and push-ups whenever I had the chance, but I've put a number on them last week and it seems to help. I aim for 100 of each and it gives me the freedom to do 25 here or 10 there, but still stick to a goal. When we go outside after dinner, I've tried taking the 5 and 8 lb handweights with me and just doing a few arm routines. I haven't been as consistent about that so that's my goal over the next two weeks.

guster, that's a good idea! I might try that. It will be hard to do at work, but I can probably do them all in the evening after I get home. I need to just not sit on the couch. Once I'm on the couch, I have my phone and I'm done.

I keep my hand weights in a cupboard of the TV stand, that way I can't sit there and veg without thinking, well, I should pick them up and do something while I'm just watching a show. I also started doing videos when the kids are here but have no immediate needs. Sometimes the boys try to wrestle me, but more often than not, they try to do it with me. And Dude definitely gives me a kick in the ass. If I half-ass something or stop ten seconds early, he's like, "mom! Keep going, they're still doing it!"

If I'm doing push-ups and trying to count them out, Josie will ask Charlie to be quiet because she knows I need to concentrate to do it!

Last time I tried to lose weight was for my wedding I was a little over 40lbs lighter then at the start of my current journey. I know it isn't WW proper but if you are hungry choose the non-processed item or the fatty item rather than the high sugar item. So cheese instead of ice cream and pb on veggies? Or just a sandwich. It's about making healthy choices and being able to make unhealthy ones and go back to the healthy ones. Keto has the fat bombs or just fatty desserts that I think are better than a candy bar (if you can stand coconut). I put coconut oil, cocoa powder, peanut butter (or pb powder), some nuts or berries, dash of sweetener and freeze it for a few minutes. It comes out like a delicious candy bar and while fatty from the oil I would choose that over a snickers.

Sunny41 oh I’m not hungry, but my cravings just do not fit within weight watchers, which is fine most of the time ☺️.

Down 14 lbs since starting (a little over a month ago. So 26 more to go. The weight loss is slowing down, but I’m happy with how it is going so far. Five more weeks until summer vacation, I’m hoping I’ll lose another 6 lbs before then.

I need to kick it back into gear so I got some better food choices at the store and ran last night and biked already today. It’s amazing how quickly you can fall out of shape again. My legs are jello.

For the first time in my life, I actually have some definition in my arms!
I'll have to try to get a picture.

I was somehow added to a group on FB about weight loss. I never actually 'joined' the group, so I still see their posts. I finally commented on it last night to send me information. Multiple PMs later, and me asking what the program was and the cost, they finally sent me information on it this morning. They claim in 8 days, I should lose 15 pounds, then can decide which plan I want to be on. I need to research it some more. I usually feel like these things are a scam, but I'm at the point of handing over my credit card and saying sign me up!
