I also used the Lose It app before our wedding. It helped me lose 10-15 lbs. i used to be a big milk drinker, like at least 2 glasses just with dinner. Obviously, the calories are listed on the milk but i never realized just how much I was drinking.
I still have it on my phone and occasionally try to track. I’ll do good for a couple of days and then never track over the weekend which is when I really need to be tracking.

I figure if I do really good during the week, I give myself a little more leeway on the weekend and just try to make smart choices on the weekends. Plus I'm going to lose track of how many beers/glasses of wine I had! :-)

When I was doing weight watchers I used to reset on Monday. I would try to not use any of my weekly points (which was more than a days worth of points) all week, and then not track for 1 day on the weekend, figuring I was just using those weeklys. It helped me mentally by having a "cheat" day, but also helped me keep focused and do better during the week.

What food trackers do y'all use? I'm interested in WW too wineallthetime. How much was the app? I paid $20/mo. I've used my fitness pal before and liked it for calorie counting, but I think using the actual weight watchers one with the point system will be helpful at least at first! I figure all of my extra points will go to wine...

Yeah when I did WW it was critical that my weigh-in day was a Monday otherwise I would go nuts on the weekend.

My unsolicited advice would be for anyone just starting a tracking app I would recommend that you eat like you normally would for a few days and get used to tracking, and create your realistic goals from there. If you're eating 2100 calories a day then going right to 1200, it would be really hard, so make a goal of a pound a week and work your way towards success slowly.

The first thing I did was log 10oz of wine. Am I doing it right?

And I might take half a glass off wine too!

My Fitbit died...again. I'm ready to throw this thing in the trash. Did you get a new one a few weeks ago? Or is this still the original? My Vivofit didn't reset Tuesday night, so when I woke up, I already had 11k steps for the day. So I have a feeling mine is on the way out as well. But it's 5+ years old, so it's probably time for an upgrade. Just not sure if I use the one H never uses or actually get a new one. I still have a contact at Garmin, so I can get one at cost, so it will be a tough choice.

Mh said he would buy me a Garmin for my birthday, but then all the N13 ladies would have to find a new person to come in last each week in the challenges. I got it set up on my work computer, so I was finally ok with the syncing it at work instead of on my phone, but now it has stopped giving me notifications when it needs to charge. Which, technically, shouldn't have been today.

They're so expensive, it's hard to buy one until you know the one you use is dead! I made a chia seed yogurt/pudding last night to have for breakfast today and tomorrow. I'm both excited and scared to try it. Excited because it has a ton of protein and is something different. Scared because what if it tastes like shit and I don't have anything to eat for breakfast. Just trying to figure out how to use up chia seeds...

A million years ago I used to lane swim all the time, and after some soul searching and the realization that I hate the gym I decided to get back in the pool.
Last night I put J down and was in the pool by 7.35pm for 45 minutes. It was amazing and it felt so damn good to enter that into my Lose It app for the day.

I had a fitness/nutrition/body composition assessment at the gym this morning.
Fitness - fair Nutrition - good. I showed the trainer my food log and he agreed there's not much room for improvement unless I want to get rid of my almond creamer. NEVER. Body composition - my body fat percentage is pretty much exactly what I expected it would be. He said my goal weight is not realistic at all unless I also want to lose some LBM. Woof. I guess, on the bright side, that means I only need to lose in the neighborhood of 18 pounds instead of 30.

I'm not sure if this goes here, but aside from zucchini noodles I'm not schooled in the spiralize vegetables. I just bought a bag of the carrot ones. I boiled and drain them, roasted them with olive oil and then tossed them with a little bit of grated Parm and red pepper seed. So delicious!!

I've decided that since I'm paying for a YMCA membership for the boys swim lessons I might as well use their gym. So I'm going to come M, W and F when the boys are at the sitters. I'm short on time today with watching my cousins baby but I did 15 minutes on the elliptical and 15 on the bike. I'll do bbm strength at home Tuesdays and Thursdays and leave my weekends to just bring active with the boys outside.
The hardest part was walking in the door. Everyone else here is equally out of shape and hopefully not judging me..

Walking in is the worst @peach. I always expect a room full of gym bods like unicorn and Cher (not hating, just jealous) and get intimidated when in fact it’s a lot of old farts at the Y.

That’s one of the nicest compliments I’ve ever received, especially coming from someone who is so inspiring and absolutely kicking ass in her fitness journey!
