I booked my trip to Omaha. I will be there Monday 3/5-Thursday 3-8. My only free time will be Wednesday after 12. The flights from here to there suck balls and I will be travelling 8 hours a day Monday and Thursday. I think everyone was pretty far away and I don't think I will have it in me to travel to see anyone so it may be that we need to connect another time, unless someone is able to come to me midweek. mskatiep , mwhip , trtlcrzy . Well, that sucks. I don't think I can make it up there on a Wednesday, but I'll keep an eye on my calendar and see if I need to take a day off!

My dad was really into our lawn when we were kids. He was constantly fertilizing and yelling at us to get off the grass. Now he doesn’t care at all and that kinda pisses me off because we used to get in trouble for wanting to be kids and run around and do cartwheels on the grass.

He's out of the room but wearing a mask. Knock on all the wood, the rest of us are ok. I think I'm going to stay on the couch tonight still. C has been sleeping great in the living room. I think the dishwasher has been putting him to sleep.

We are doing Chinese for dinner. I had planned to do a pork tenderloin but it's like the energy and get-up-and-go has been sucked out of me.
My sister's baby shower was scheduled for a date in April so I started looking at flights...:dry heave:...the absolute cheapest I found so far is over $350 and the times are terrible. It's 3 months out so I feel like ticket prices could climb, or drop...no clue. I remember being able to fly home for under $200 last time we lived here. Bleh.

My stepdad lives for doing the lawn. They have a ton of grass and on a regular basis he kills off the entire thing because of one blade of crab grass and regrows it. He mows several times a week and has a perfect pattern weaved into the lawn. I on the other hand have never mowed the lawn ever and hope to keep it that way. We have a very tiny lawn maintained by HOAs and in the backyard we replaced the tiny bit of grass with stone and fake grass. My parents were like this when they lived here. Our backyard was like an oasis and it was amazing. They enjoyed every minute of maintaining the yard, watering, wrangling the banana trees, trimming the plants & shrubs....I did not get this gene. Same. While my stepdad obsesses about the grass my mom is always tending to all the flowers and shrubs. It looks beautiful. I got married in my parents backyard and it looked like a professional garden. Meanwhile I struggle to keep one potted plant alive each year and occasionally remember to weed the tiny area in the back where weeds can grow. *shrugs*

I downloaded the app hopper to search for prices, or you could try kayak alerts.

How long of a drive is that for you? 3ish hours depending on where in Omaha we meet. I’m not super familiar with restaurants or anything there. @untaggablekatie lives in O, and @htk1113 lives about an hour away. I can text them and see if they can come too if you want.

I haven't heard from my doctor but I got my CT scan results. I think besides the kidney stones I'm ok. There was one thing I didn't understand but I think it means they didn't get a good view.

I downloaded the app hopper to search for prices, or you could try kayak alerts. I'll definitely have to set alerts; will check into app hopper. I mean, obviously I'll pay it if I have to, but darn...it's literally 12 waking hours and I could easily spend $400+, before gift, outfit, and anything I contribute for the shower (my aunt is hosting). Crazy.

So when I picked up J, I had someone deliver him outside so I wouldn't bring sick N in.. he was just sobbing during the Curious George movie, which seemed odd, of course he has a fever too! I guess I'd rather have both of them get it at the same time rather than one after the other, but this could be an interesting weekend.
Thanks for all the well wishes guys, she seems ok so far, we will see how the night goes.

We’re home! Dh basically dropped us off and then had to head to a banquet. I’m not in the mood to parent. It’s bedtime on FL time, so I can put the kids to bed, right?
Thought i would open a bottle of wine but now laying in bed after the kids go to sleep sounds like a better options.
