melaniesue How is the new job going? Has YH had any luck finding anything? It’s going pretty good. It’s getting easier as get used to their system. But I can’t be on my phone at all. Today it was time to leave and just before I turned off my computer at the end of the day I sent a text of a recipe to myself. Just as i was about to log out. Of course my department director walked up behind me at that moment and asked what I was doing. Ugh. I’ve literally been working non stop until that moment. So now I need to keep my phone put away. I don’t want her to have a reason to watch me. I’m so mad. And now I don’t want to make the recipe bc I’m mad at it. Lol!

Jack has been sooooo whiny and difficult. Like he cried less at birth than he did today. Dh gets home and informs me he's working all weekend and oh you had a hard day? Well I have to go weld these bolts on the trailer and get my tools ready for tomorrow.
I can not wait to go to work tomorrow. He's had 2 doses of antibiotics and his stomach bug it gone. He's fine to go. Just whiny.. I feel sorry for my sitter but dear Lord I need a break.

My parents just offered to watch my kid Sat evening because my brother and his boys will be there. I'm so excited for an impromptu date night!

Lol guster with her hypothetical orders at places she may never get to eat! trtlcrzy I’m excited for Grey’s return tonight! It feels like forever since they were on. S had a seizure tonight. It is the first one since she started her new med about 3 weeks ago. It lasted about a minute and while she was eating which freaks me out when she has food in her mouth. We already have an overnight EEG scheduled for Monday. Soooo, xolastunicornxo, I know you’re ready to have that baby any day....but Monday would be really convenient for me as I will be stuck in the hospital with S. So a good baby day live blog will really help my day go faster....just sayin.

My child just screamed, cried, kicked and yelled because she didn't want "green stuff" on her pasta. There is spinach in it, but barely any on hers. I know she hates it, so I try not to put it on her plate, but it's hard when it is mixed in. I asked her to eat one bowtie noodle before saying she didn't want it. Meltdown. She finally ate the one damn noodle, said it was yummy, and then asked for something else.

klong11 Evie helped me make salads for dinner, she made hers, put all the toppings on it, we did dressing together, she ate 2 butes and said she was full. At least she doesn't even eat what she makes, it isn't just me. H is off work tomorrow. He is leaving Saturday to drive to California, not sure what Evie and I will do all weekend. I'm thinking some healthy freezer meals for the crock pot and instant pot. But that involves some planning tomorrow.

I don't have official turtle necks per se, but I did get a new sweatshirt with a oversized neck thing that I guess is turtle-neck-esque. It's cozy but not suffocating because it's loose. I could not do a tight turtleneck. You look pretty hot in your profile pic with that red turtleneck

I did not realize there was an anti-turtleneck movement until today! Aren’t your guys’ necks cold?? Wearing one now. I love thin fitted turtlenecks, a staple for winter. Question: do you wear the thin JCrew ones, by any chance? Or Banana Republic? (the ones that are almost tee material?) If yes, how do you wear the neck? Folded over, or do you just allow it to kind of scrunch down? They seem to scrunch *too* far down on me, thus negating the purpose of the turtleneck. Maybe I should be folding? Sweater-y or knit ones, I fold over.

Also a big old NO to cowl necks. I have a legit tiny head and cowl necks emphasize that. Looks ridiculous.

kim22, is it weird I'm kinda jealous of your H? Not the flu part, but being locked in my room alone and having people leave food and things outside my door for me. I'd like that.

No to cowl necks for me either. They look great on other people, but I fidget with them too much because I'm convinced they aren't laying right.

Sometimes I think a nice stay at the hospital without the sick part would be nice. Then I realize that would probably be a psych ward🙄

They stick to my neck I think? Or flop down? I honestly haven't thought about it, but I def don't fold down. I am going to send you a pick from a few years ago on IG, stand by.

Not weird, I'm jealous too. He's really not that sick, he's just in there because of the baby. I have never seen him this upset though about possibly getting the baby sick. He keeps making me check C's temperature and he is texting me every time C cries. I must AW my 7 year old. She has stepped up and done so much without me asking. She makes lunches, picks out the boy's clothes, washed dishes, and does everything for T. I have $300 in Spa Finder gift cards I'm going to need to use when we get through this.

Dh complains the whole time, but I think it’s the best. Nurses to help with the baby, room service, no one else to take care of and people waiting on me hand and foot? Sign me up. I wish I could stay for longer than two nights.

Our rental house has a bunch of old vhs tapes. We are watching father of the bride. Dh is into it. lol.
Just tried bringing up a conversation about when we are going to start ttc. He wanted nothing to do with it because he didn’t want to “ruin vacation.” Sooooo.... I have a feeling he’s not ready.
Which really, I’m not sure what I want. I thought I wanted to start trying now-ish, but I also kinda want to wait another year? I dunno. I’m glad that I’m open and it takes the pressure off, but I thought i was so set on having another baby this year. Humph.
