Nothing like opening my Dad's water bill and seeing a $200+ amount to pay. This tells me there is a water leak/beak somewhere. I've messaged the neighbors to see if they can go over and turn the water off at the main valve. UGH! Oh no! Can you call the water company and explain the situation? Maybe they will take pity on you and write off some/all of it.

Also, I’ve never heard of Pita Pit. But now I’m going to have to see if there are any in The STL area. And speaking of pitas...I used to work at a restaurant called Olga’s Kitchen. The one I used to work at closed and I miss it! They had the best little appetizer called snackers. It was pita bread cut into wedges, lightly fried and seasoned. Then served with a Swiss almond cheese. I miss them! I think most of their locations are in MI. wineallthetime have you heard of it? I've seen one but have never been.

I've emailed the water company to see if they can help at all. I hate having to deal with this stuff from so far away.

Thanks for the carpet advice, ladies. I'm going to try them all.
You guys are making me hungry for Greek. My fav place in college had the most amazing feta fries. They had a hint of lemon and they were to. die. for.

Anyone know of a miracle carpet cleaner for pets? My dog has been vomiting, and I tried spot cleaning and our carpet cleaner/vac, but I've still got a slight yellow stain on light colored carpet. I use Folex. I've been known to put it in my carpet shampooer as well and do the entire house, but it works great for spot cleaning as well.

I don't think there are any Pita Pit's local. At least I've never heard of or seen them when out. I'll google. Something about eating at a place with 'Pit' in the name would likely deter me from trying it in the first place.
ETA I googled and there are some in the area, although not places I frequent. I may need to venture to one this weekend to see if it's worth everything you all say!

There is 1 left in the area, about 45 minutes from my parents house. So we venture there still every now and then. But I miss the convenient one that closed. It was right by my moms work so we would go there for lunch when I was in town. They’ve added so much to their menu since I quit working there (15 years ago!) but I always stick with the traditional items from my tenure there when I go. Lol.

I mean, my neck is probably the same temperature as my face since I don't wear a mask? *sarcasm* I don't think I've ever had a cold neck. Hands, feet, arms, yes, neck? No. :-)

dapostrophe it’s sooo hard. Like I *THINK* we would be fine if he was out for a bit with our savings... and realistically he would only be out 6 months tops. So I want to go for it. But, we are trying to be smart. It sucks. tgrimes Pita Pit is the shit! We don’t have one any more 👎🏼 Cleaning under the bed is annoying inthekitty. But it always feels so good once it’s done!

I know your market is quick to sell but maybe put in an offer you would be comfortable with and see what happens. That is only if you would be comfortable walking away from counter offers.

guster, I'm sorry about your Aunt, I'll be thinking of her! yummeecookee, looks great! You are gorgeous! Also team no turtle necks, for the same reason I can't do scarves. I already have too much going on in the chest area, no need to accentuate. Plus I always feel suffocated with high necklines, I even have a hard time with t-shirts.

In a professional setting I hate the phrase "well when I used to do xyz, I would do blah blah blah, but that's just me."
The lady I took over this position from (she got a promotion btw) is having a hard time stepping away and is really annoyed that my boss and I adjusted the process she used and we are redefining the overall objectives and goals. I had to give up my own "baby" for this promotion, but I don't try to second guess or one-up the person that took over for me. I'm just annoyed with her pettiness. We normally work really well together, but I think she is nervous that I will do a "better" job than her. Just do you lady, give it a rest. /rant

Those people are the worst mskatiep, 7 years later in my current position I am still dealing with the coworker who used to be here a bazillion years ago using phrases like that. I give a good ol' smile and nod ![](https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/55/a4/38/55a438a7fba18b72653037fdf62b2870.gif)

mskatiep those people are the worst... I took over editing our yearly magazine, one of complaints before was that the pictures weren’t good enough, so I made sure to hire a professional photographer for every interview/event etc. My coworker (who did stuff for the magazine before) complained the pictures where too good and therefore impersonal...

Sunny41 It’s a new build so I’m not sure how much wiggle room we would get. It’s affordable for us but we just didn’t want to spend so much. MH will find a new contract once this one ends but processing can take a few months sometimes so that’s our worry.

⚠️ possible Trigger warning ⚠️
Apparently a guy robbed a liquor store in our neighbourhood and is walking around with a 14inch kitchen knife. Police advise to lock your front doors and to not open it. There’s a helicopter circling above our houses, this is such a weird feeling, hope they catch the guy soon.
