I need to buy some snacks. I don’t keep many “snack” foods in the house but then I find myself eating too much other stuff. Need some healthy options. Mixed nuts sound good. I think I need to do this too. I'm not usually much of a snacker and I feel like I've been eating all the things yet I've gained less than a pound at almost 18 weeks. My Dr didn't say anything at my appointment today though so I'm trying not to think about it.

I am fighting off some sort of yucky cold while the rest of my family (even my husband) deals with the same AND pink eye. I've been sleeping away from them all and hoping my crazy hand washing works. At least the baby inside me is hanging out and happy. I feel like we are all at the end of our ropes with feeling crummy. I can't believe how many people have been sick this season already.

I woke up super congested and with a sore throat. Blah. I’m hoping this is just normal pregnancy congestion and a sore throat from sleeping with my mouth open. We’ll see.

Ugh hope everyone feeling sick starts to feel better. And steady when walking.
Our ice is mostly melted and the interstates are finally open again so commuting to work won't take hours. And the best part: the weather's warming up and schools are open today!

I just went and picked up my antibiotics today for my sinus infection =( I was just thinking and I believe I had one this time last year too. Seems to be a yearly thing for me.
On a positive note, I'm just sitting here waiting for my best friend to come pick me up so we can go have lunch together. The past month the only time we've seen each other has been at big group gatherings, so we need some one on one girly time.

Trying to convince my H that he should not travel for work to Miami due to Zika while I’m pregnant. Sending him CDC links and also asking my OB. I’m hoping the whole no sex or condoms part will sway him.

DH and DD are talking about names for her baby sister. So far she’s has shot down Avocado (that’s food!), Banana (that’s fruit!), Starla (that’s a name for a dog), and Monkey (they live in a zoo!). DD suggested Simon. Hahahaha. No idea where she came up with that one. I don’t think any of her friends are named Simon.

I told DS to put his hand on my stomach and he might feel the baby kicking.
DS talking to my stomach: "No no, baby brother. Don't kick mommy. That's not nice."
Need to start watching how I phrase things. Lol

They lifted the travel advisory for Miami but still say to take the precautions DH had to go to Mexico last year for work, while we were TTC. I had him cover himself in bug repellant anytime he was outside and stay inside as much as possible.

My best friend sent over her hubby to help MH move over the washer and dryer. Apparently the dryer is kaput, but at least I have a washer! I also made him FINALLY bring over my dresser, so I actually have a place to put the clean clothes. Now I'm in a cleaning/organizing mood.

I think she's watched too much Frozen. 😂

I haven't gained anything yet, and the nurse took 2 lbs off for my boots (not sure why). I told my coworkers the next day that I'd have them vouch that I was always eating. Lol.

ajm I may have to get my coworkers to do the same thing lol. At my work we can eat pretty much whatever we want while we're on the clock. After lunch when the work slows down I'm constantly in the kitchen grazing, and my midmorning snacks are usually huge lol. Although I did tell H that I think I'm going to have to have more to eat in the morning on work days. I usually just have a bowl of oatmeal but it's not been holding me anymore. Not sure what else to have since I barely have time for that.

Not sure what else to have since I barely have time for that. Protein is really key for me in keeping me full and keeping my caloric intake reasonable. I usually eat whole wheat toast with peanut butter or hard boiled eggs and a banana for breakfast. It’s easy to put together and I have a 30 min commute, so I eat it in the car. The combo usually tides me over until my planning 3 hours later when I can have a snack (usually yogurt or nuts and fruit).

I’m anxious about it because I’m overweight and still have most of the baby weight from last time. I’m still -3 lbs from my starting weight thanks to MS though, so hopefully it shouldn’t be quite as bad as last time.

I cleaned for 3 hours this morning and I’m paying for it tonight. Note to self to not sit in one position for a couple hours without moving. I tried to get up and my one hip would not function. Calling the chiropractor tomorrow.

Calling the chiropractor tomorrow. Ugh yes. Even sitting cross legged on floor while folding clothes kills my back even for just 10 minutes. I can’t lay on one side for long while I sleep or my hip kills me

At what point are we not really supposed to sleep on our back anymore? I know it's 20something weeks. Right?

I've been waking up that way more often recently then remember I'm not really supposed to be that way. I do remember at some point it's ridiculously uncomfortable but I'm not there yet I guess.

I love sleeping on my back. It’s my normal spot. So I miss it heaps. The last few weeks if I’ve woken on my back I feel really light headed and sick. Then I roll and it goes away. So I guess I’ve reached that point.

jessila My packet from the clinic said not to sleep on your back after 16 weeks. I think it's not too much of an issue if you wake up that way, just switch positions. That's what I've read when I googled.

my doctor also mentioned you would wake up from being uncomfortable/short of breath if sleeping on your back before it hurt the baby. she also mentioned sleeping on either side is fine (Whereas I've read left side is better). so I'm trying not to stress too much about sleeping positions. In other fun news, a 3am ER trip yesterday after spiking a 104 degree fever confirmed I have the flu I feel like I'm "wasting" my whole 2nd trimester with random illnesses and after I finally get over all of this crap I'm going to start being uncomfortable from the pregnancy. apparently I need a little cheese to go with my whine today. so I'm taking today/tomorrow off work. my boss gives me a really hard time when I work when I'm sick (which is so nice), but I'm also so bored that I'm checking work email just to give myself something to do... Not to mention we were going to make major progress on the nursery this weekend and my FIL and H had to do the plank wall project w/o me because I was sick. boohoo. In more positive news baby girl is moving around like crazy in there so I'm glad that none of this seems to be affecting her
