cake have you considered getting a snuza? We had one for DD1 and are using it for DD2 as well. It really helps me at night when I am constantly listening for breathing. Ohh I had never even heard of a snuza before. I just looked it up and it seems like a great idea, thanks! I’ll do some more research into it today. We have an Owlet and I absolutely love it.

I don’t even bother. I don’t need to manage 2 children in the MOTN so I just let the large one sleep. 🤷🏼♀️ I also don’t work and he does so I figure one of us can at least get sleep. This is how we handled things with DD but now knowing I will be awake at 730 no matter how the night goes...that is miserable lol. And on tues/thurs she goes to school so I am up earlier with her then. Also his baby leave just started today so he has no excuse Oh yeah if DH had off work he would deffffinitely be helping. Our plan is that he is going to help with DS1 in the mornings when he wakes up since he doesn't have to be at work early. Hoping that will help me somewhat.

DH is home and agreed to get up with the baby tonight. However I can’t sleep because DD1 is getting tubes this morning and we have to be there at 6am. I known it’s going to be so much better after but I’m so nervous for the anesthesia.
So now both DH and his sister are both annoying me. Tonight I fed, let out and cleaned up after the dogs, unloaded and loaded the dishwasher, made dinner for DD1, have DD1 a bath, pumped while watching DD2 (she was upset of course and trying to hold her while pumping is not easy) and straightened up before the cleaners come today. DH laid on the bed with the baby and his sister watched me and continued annoying me with comments of what she does with the older niece and nephew that would not work with a toddler. I’m sure a lot of it is my hormones but something has got to give. I can’t do everything.

H doesn’t do night time wake ups mostly because he works and I don’t, it never really bothered me.
But yesterday he did zero to help with any of the boys. And soncevit was the second day in a row of dr appointments for the twins plus a shot for them they were hot messes. He changed no diapers, soothed no babies, did nothing to help with DS1. (Said he was tired)
We got into it a little because Z kept screaming every time I set him down. But his brother was crying for his bottle, and I was worried they’d wake up DS1. I asked him if he could hold z long enough for me to feed his brother. 😒

sarahh teraiin I hope your guys step up soon. And Sarah I’m sorry SIL is driving you crazy. I’d be losing my mind with all of that. With DD1 and 2 DH wasn’t as helpful. Now though I don’t know if he just realized he had to step up/something clicked or just more experience made him wiser. I do all the middle of the night baby stuff unless I truly need help, but he has a big role in taking care of the older ones. Big hugs guys.

And even if he does work he is on DD duty if she wakes up MOTN (which has been happening lately 😭😭)

So DH and DS2 were both asleep in the living room when I went up to bed. I haven't been setting a pump alarm and just waking up when baby does. Well I didn't hear them come to bed soooo i didn't wake up until almost 6. Whoops! I got amazing sleep though so I'll take it.

teraiin my h doesn’t do MOTN either but his ass better be holding the babe if I need him when he gets home. IMO taking care of newborn twins and a toddler (and keeping them alive, I might add) is wayyyy more exhausting than any job.

I’m just at a loss right now. The baby ate at 8:45. I went to bed at 9:30 in the hopes of getting at least two hours of sleep. Nope. Boy has been up since 10:30. I really hope that he finishes this bottle. Usually when he cries to eat less than 3 hours after his previous one, he will only take 2ozs and then will be up again in two hours. I really don’t want that to happen all night. I really want him to sleep longer at night. 😞 Even if it’s just one 4 or 5 hour stretch.

As for me the twins are alternating singing the song of their people. I hate when they both cry at once, but this might be worse because by the time I settle one the other is raging. 🙈

Unicorn baby is not being very unicorny tonight. She’s barely slept at all between 7:40 and 11:15 and she’s just pissed. Yay.

DS slept 4 hrs and I’m nursing. He is stuffy so breathing like a snoring man and he is doing this weird poop thing so I hope he settled down to keep sleeping 👍🏼

We’re trying to get settled in for the night. Literally 1 more minute of pumping then turning the lights off! Fx L will settle until his next fed.

H gave us a 5 hour stretch 😳 oops. I woke up freaking out how late it was! And then had to WORK to get her to wake up and take the boob. This baby is so stubborn about eating when it’s not on her terms

Guys, this board is magical. I mentioned how hard it’s been not getting more than 3 hours at a time and bam, baby sleeps for almost 5 hours. I ended up only sleeping about 4 hours but I will take it. I’m feeding him now. Hopefully he will go back to sleep and I can too until my alarm at 6:30

Glad you were able to get a nice rest marygracerich. DH is sick and warned me I'm in charge of overnight. Well I forgot to set my pump alarm so I woke up to a very hungry baby and full boobs. I told him it wasn't fair I had to stay up for over an hour to do both but did it anyway. I'm currently pumping and joint to get some sleep before DH leaves for work. My first mourning fully alone with both boys for more than a hour. We shall see how it goes.

marygracerich yay for a nice stretch!!! Hope you get a little more sleep. Baby girl ‘slept’ from 12-5, but I thought she was waking up at2:30 and 3:30 because she was so loud, so I feel like I didn’t sleep much. Just nota very restful sleep. Hoping she’ll eat and go back to sleep and maybe I will too.

DS woke only twice last night!! Well 3x if you count his 5:15 feeding but he isn’t settling down from it yet an hr later so we’re snuggling on the couch. DD will be up in an hour.

That’s great news marygracerich! I’m glad you were finally able to get some sleep. My husband has taken H out to the couch to give him his bottle in the hopes I’ll sleep a bit. Breastfeeding is a real struggle when H is not fully awake. During a good feeding he’s probably only getting an ounce. Who knows when he’s so sleepy and constantly falling off the breast. I was told to wake him at least every 3 hours because of his weight loss. But I’m already pushing it to 4 because he often isn’t ready for it and it’s still a struggle. We’ll just keep chugging away at it.

Thanks everyone for listening to me complain so much. I slept 9:45-10:30, 12-4 and 5:30-6:30. It’s not the worst but I’m definitely not refreshed. Lol

Tonight’s tag teaming is still going. Started about an hour or so ago. By the time they settle it will be time to wake them up to feed again 🙃

MH told me to go to bed around 8:30. In theory that sounds great. However I heard the baby crying on more than one occasion and it kept me up. I slept for about an hour. Any sleep is nice I guess but now I am up with an awake baby in my lap and MH is sleeping. 😑 I’m still not going to get a lot of sleep.

We couldn't figure out why he wouldn't calm down tonight. Thennn he puked down the INSIDE of my sweatshirt and bra. It was... awesome. At least it missed my mouth.
We are off to a good start tonight.

marygracerich jessijean well neither of those situations sound great. 😬 Baby got off her ‘schedule’. Not that there is a tight one, but she’d been eating around 7 then I’d feed her again at 10ish and we’d go to bed. Tonight she ate at 8 so I woke her at 11 to feed her and she seems WIDE awake. Fingers crossed I can get her fed and back to sleep and we still get a long stretch.

Yawn. Insomnia between feedings is the worst.
Maybe online shopping time??
