I'm up but everyone else in my house is sleeping. I literally could not quit coughing in bed. I coughed so hard once that I peed myself a little. Instead of just changing I decided to come downstairs so everyone else can sleep. I just took a hour long bath.... at 1 am. Of course I coughed like twice in that hour. Must be something about laying flat. I'm running a fever with ibuprofen in my system so I'm gonna stay rotating with Tylenol. Effff you influenza! I am so sorry. I hope you aren’t sick too long.

We did the crib last night. It wasn’t any worse than the last 4 nights so we are going to keep on keeping on.
I’m so perplexed by her ability to sleep perfectly and then this regression to every 2 hours and then barely sleeping past 4. My H did 4 and beyond this morning and was like how do you do this....
This is why I bring her to you each morning lately almost in tears!
I’m going to get gas drops today and start going dairy free I guess.

I’m going to ....start going dairy free I guess. Um...I just got the Ben and Jerry's "non dairy dessert" AKA almond milk ice cream. So. freakin. good. DH said if I hadn't told him, he wouldn't know it was not regular ice cream. I got the coconut 7 layer bar flavor (or something like that). So there are options like that to keep you from feeling like you are missing out.

You aren’t going to believe this. Baby slept from 10-3:45 then from 4-6:30. Unadjusted times. She actually drank a full bottle before bed and MON which I think made the difference. Hopefully she continues doing that and it wasn’t a one time thing! Like clockwork DD2 got up at 6:30 but I guess now it’s really 7:30. Do kids need less sleep as they get older? Asking for my toddler. She goes to bed at 8 and wakes up earlier and earlier. I’m wondering if I should push her bedtime to 8:30 so she will sleep later but my luck is she will still wake at the same time.

sarahh we had to take naps away to get a reasonable amount of sleep from my older two, and even then they go to bed at 8 and are up between 6 and 6:30. 😔

sarahh DS1 got up consistently at 6:30 until around 4.5. His bedtime was between 8 and 8:30 and he was still taking a nap. When we cut naps, we got longer stretches on the weekends but he's still typically up between 7 and 7:30 at 5.5.

UO I guess! I love when my early risers sleep until 7! It temp changes all my older kid sleep problems.

Complete surprise to me but transitioning to the crib has been a non event. She actually slept from 10:30-3:45 (old time) last night which was an hour and a half longer than the night before so heading in the right direction. 🤞

What is the temp in the room your baby is sleeping? First time w a monitor in the nursery (H slept on her floor the previous two nights) and it says 74 degrees. It’s not that warm in any other room.
Would you turn on the ceiling fan? I don’t want her to get cold but isn’t 68-70 ideal temp? I’m totally overthinking this.

I have hot body children that sleep better when the temp is cooler. ETA: not overthinking temp plays a key role in sleep.

ajetter and rebeccabunch I think they recommend 68-72 as ideal temp. My 2.5 year olds room is 72. So tonight has not been as good as Saturday night but still decent so far. She went to sleep around 7:30/8 and got up the first time at 11:45 then at 3:30. Fingers crossed that she now sleeps until her sister gets up around 7.

rebeccabunch I definitely don’t mind this time change near as much as in the fall! And you’re making me think we should try the crib.

I am ott but I do the ceiling fan regardless of temp for air circulation because I read somewhere about that as a SIDs preventative. 74 is too warm for me but I thought the ideal range was 64-74. We keep it at 66. I sleep better in the cold and H is a furnace. Poor kids.

rebeccabunch I definitely don’t mind this time change near as much as in the fall! And you’re making me think we should try the crib. She was sleeping super good like your daughter and then abruptly stopped. Since things were shit I figured I had nothing to lose. If she was still sleeping good I wouldn’t be so easy breezy about making the change. I’d protect what you have going right now!

L drank 6 oz from the bottle 😳 and passed out in the swing. Fx for a decent first stretch on the couch.
