What ever happened with your H? Didn't he just have stones? He did. It finally passed after about 8-9 days? It was painful for him (and me). He was put on a medication that makes them easier to pass (I think it widens the tubes or something) as well as various pain meds. It was a challenge to find the med that worked because narcotics kept making him vomit profusely. Drinking a lot of water and moving helped. But I can only imagine trying to drink enough to keep up with that and nursing. Are you able to take anything for the pain that doesn't interfere with nursing? I can't remember the name (something like torodol) is what worked best for my husband. It was not a narcotic and a bit slower acting, but did more to directly alleviate the pain rather than just trick his brain into thinking there was no pain like a narcotic with all the shitty side effects. Today I'm not in any pain. I think they were giving me Torodol after my C section. I'm going to try to just drown myself in water and see what happens.

Good luck kim22. I hope it works. I know you're very active, but that can help. Really it's the same idea as birth. Get moving and let gravity do it's work + a ton of water.

I feel like lemon is suposed to help break them up if they're calcium based. If that's helpful at all. I know someone who drinks a lot of lemon water because she's prone to kindney stones.

Apparently the frozen tundra is back, it’s snowing sideways. WTF Mother Nature. Why do I even live here?

So my internet research says a stone from 5mm-1cm has a 50% chance of passing on its own. Mine are 8mm and 9mm. I better start pumping in case I have to take a break from breastfeeding. I have 0 ounces in reserve.

Thank you for that flamingo. I think the week in between my current and next job, I will do that with both boys. God help me. At least it will be on my parents carpet and not my new pretty house #silverlinings I have confidence in you!

Dh is working late pretty much every night until the baby comes. I get it, because he’s a supervisor and has to train people and make sure things are running smoothly before he takes 6 weeks off, but my patience and energy is at an all time low and having to do homework/dinner/baths/bedtime alone every night seems super overwhelming.

Oh no, kim22. I guess it's not uncommon to develop them while pregnant and generally they can't do anything but wait until you've given birth. I'd never thought about how BFing would throw a wrench into that... Yay for a good scan, cagoldi! Thank you for mentioning that book, flamingo. I want to get a copy because DH and I are at a loss as to how to deal with Colin's recent outbursts. I don't *think* they are anything abnormal but I don't want us to look back in 10 years and wish we'd nipped it in the bud when he's never learned coping skills, you know? Yes, Bradley has a couple little bugaboos too, and that is our thought as well—easier to reign in at 4 than 14. I know I sound like some fanatic or evangelist but I just think he makes a lot of sense. I read the book on our way back from Charleston in the car, so it’s not a huge tome, but he gets to the point and it has really made me think.

cagoldi, my psychiatrist mentioned today that a lot of women go on anti anxiety/depression meds later in their pregnancy to help prevent PPA and PPD. I didn't ask any questions, like if these are people who have been on meds before, but it made me think of you.

I know I shouldn’t complain, it just feels like a lot right now. His company in the last year just started 6 weeks paid paternity, which is awesome. (Too bad they didn’t have it for the first three babies!) he also get a fairly significant amount of pto, and he rolled over a week from this year, so he’ll taken seven weeks. With the other kids when he went back he did kind of a part time schedule for the first two weeks (only mon/wed/fri) to ease back in, but that was after only taking two weeks off so we will see if we do that again.

I've been jumping from bed to bed for 5 hours.. Jack screams as soon as he realizes I'm with Matthew. And Matthew just sobs "I don't feel good. I want my mommy.." and I'm just 😭😭😭 neither want dh near them.. Matthews temp will not go down. I think it might be the flu. Pedi offered to send him for the flu test and I said no since i had already decided I wouldn't use tamiflu. So I figured why put him through the test but now I'm wishing I dis just so I know. I'm alternating Tylenol and Motrin. Dh is staying with them tomorrow and i know he's going to be freaking out if we can't get it down.

I’m sorry peachsmama. It’s the worst to see your kid’s so miserable. I hope today is better. S is sick too. Yesterday and today she’s had fever (highest was 103.5) and pretty much slept all day yesterday. I think maybe flu also because I think that’s what MH has over the weekend. He was in bed miserable for 2 days, but was feeling bad for a few days before that even. I’m going to take her to dr today just to make sure it’s not something else like her strep lingering/returning (finished antibiotics on Saturday). Last time she had it, it took 2 rounds of different antibiotics to get it gone.

Ugh I’m sorry kim22 ! Hope it’s over soon. @lahdeedah88 what did y’all think of the game? Were you rooting for one team or another? We stayed up til the bitter end, it turned into quite the game in the 2nd half. Just seeing this. I'm a Nick Saban fan so I was very much into it and rooting for Alabama. Even at halftime, I still had hope Nick would make some changes to get his team back in the game. So glad he came through. I applaud Georgia though. They played a great game.

Ha, yes we were rooting for Bama too. As a Gator I just don’t have it in me to root for Georgia 😜 Saban will be in the history books for sure. Our next door neighbor is a UGA grad and understandably was very excited. She knows we’re SEC ppl so she was texting us a lot before the game, put a UGA cap on the snowman her kids built, etc. it’s been radio silence since Monday night lol.
