Yesterday I pretty much ate an entire bag of mini donuts. Today I'm already going to town on a pan of brownies. So I'm killing it at trying to eat healthier. Well, you need to get them out of the house, so you CAN start to eat healthier. :-) I know, I know. The struggle is real. My in-laws dropped the donuts off, but the brownies were 100% my fault!

Morning! We have a high today of 42! It’s practically spring. School today for H. I want to go to the mall while she’s there so I’m going to attempt an early nap for S. I want a new shirt for Saturday. DH is finally planning, after much prodding and annoyance on my part, something for my birthday. But his mom is only going to watch the girls till midnight so whatever we’re doing (he hasn’t told me) will be over by then. Getting wild and wacky 🙄 Originally he wanted my 12 year old niece to babysit the girls. Firstly, she has never changed a diaper. Second, I will not let someone without a car/drivers license watch my children while I’m out drinking in case of emergency.

As her therapist said, potty training and eating are two things THEY control completely. We're not pushing very hard because of that, but I do think I'm going to start putting her on the potty at least once a day whether she does anything or not. We've got to get this freaking out under control. Yea, Matthew screams and says he's scared. But can't tell us what or why it scares him.

Morning ladies! My children were feuding all morning so I was glad to drop them off. H is such a little stinker and N is such a tattletale. Ooof.
I'm so excited for tonight. We won (well...were the highest bidder. ha) an auction item at the gala a couple months ago. We have a shuttle service of some sort picking us up at our house at 5 along with my sister and BIL and taking us the Wild game in St Paul. It should be a great time! I only wish it wasn't a Tuesday.
We leave for vacation Sunday and I started to lay things out last night to pack. Packing stresses me out and of course, I'll probably over pack. I still need to send my grocery order for us to pick up on our way to the house. I don't want to over buy, but don't want to not have enough either.

Well, you need to get them out of the house, so you CAN start to eat healthier. :-) This is what I did, I tossed almost everything except things for dd and ds. I’m craving it big time, but there’s nothing in the house. Replace "tossed" with "ate" and you described my weekend. Thanks AF!!

Just got to work after taking Cadence to physical therapy. Her therapist said her legs are pretty tight today, as opposed to last time. We need to do better on her stretches. She does them fine for me because I do them with her or we take turns, but it is an all out battle when mh does them with her. We go back in a month this time around.

peachsmama, have you had M tested for developmental delays too? Just curious, since ladystrat said she had S tested.

Do they stretch at all at gymnastics? I'm assuming it's different stretches, but I was just curious.

I'm setting up payments for H's medical bills from his surgery. In October. Even though he was off work until the middle of December. And he never took care of any of his bills. This does not compute with me. He was sitting at home, but couldn't call the hospital to set up payments?
And of course my flex spending provider doesn't like one of the receipts I previously provided so my card is on hold. WHY does this have to be so damn hard???

Morning! The monitor popped on around 4:40 and Chase was just standing up in his crib staring at something, maybe his books? He didn't scream and he eventually passed back out - he's been doing great since we warmed up his room! Amazing, haha. And Colin had his 2nd dry night in the last week. It's so weird, he'd been averaging maybe 1 accident a week for 5 or 6 weeks before that. I wish I knew what was going on or how to help him.
Re: the potty with 2nd kiddos, Chase is so potty curious! He sits on it before bath every night and probably pees in it a couple times a week. We should probably put him on it first thing in the morning since he's willing. His next class will officially start potty training so maybe we'll put him in pull-ups on the weekends soon, as long as he's receptive.

We have to do these ones 3 times a day. We have def. fallen behind on the weekends. I tried to tell mh how it's easier if you take turns with her or get more involved then just holding her feet down. He got defensive, so I dropped it. It's not like I was saying he was doing it wrong, I was just trying to make it easier for him.

You've mentioned that the doctor was very slow to recommend PT, right? How often was she walking on her toes once she was mobile? Chase walks on his toes a decent amount - not all the time but enough that we catch him often - it's daily and happens with or without shoes. I'm curious if it's a phase or if we should push to take care of it immediately. He's such a pill willful child though, I can't imagine him tolerating stretches!!

I'm curious if it's a phase or if we should push to take care of it immediately. He's such a pill willful child though, I can't imagine him tolerating stretches!! She is a constant toe walker. When she first started walking, it was "normal", once she started wanting to go faster, like running, she started going up on her toes and she began walking on her toes. She is on her toes pretty much 24/7, walking running, even just standing she will be on her toes and swaying side to side. Honestly, I'm wondering if she will have an ADHD diagnosis in her future, but that's another thing altogether. I asked her pt about waiting until now to do anything and that her pedi always said she would grow out of it and she said most kids do. Most kids start gaining weight and it's more comfortable for them to go down on their full foot rather than have all the weight on their toes. Cadence is just the exception to that theory. If I were you I would just keep an eye on it. You could even test to see how tight his leg muscles are. When you are playing with him have him lay on his back and push his foot forward with your hand. Cadence can barely go neutral with her foot(90 degrees) and that's with a month of pt so far. ETA: you can also do walking games. Marching, penguin walk (walking on his heels with his toes pointed up), jumping so he lands on both feet, and balance beam walking (heel to toe walking in a straight line).

Morning. Hope the boys don't have anything serious peachsmama. Nothing but work and an appointment with the nurse practitioner later. I think I have a UTI/bladder infection. It will be my second since having M2. WTF. Not sure why I'm getting them now. I've only ever had one before having kids. Going to finish yesterday's thread. I started, but never got a chance to finish. It was pretty busy at work, and we were busy watching the national championship game last night.

C had his 1 month appointment. He's 10 lbs already. He was 7 lbs 3 weeks ago. I'm waiting for my test results from yesterday but I feel a lot better so hopefully it's just an infection and the antibiotics are working.

lahdeedah Hopefully you can start antibiotics quickly and get to feeling better. Buy some AZO standard, it's over the counter and always helped me when I would get UTIs. Made the pain a little less severe until the antibiotics kicked in. It does turn your urine orange, just a warning.

I got a phone call at work from a cosmetics company. I work in telecommunications, so no cosmetics company should be calling. I wasn't going to answer, because I hate cold calls, but thought I'd better. They were calling to verify the order I submitted, I said I hadn't submitted an order with them and they said that's what they wanted to confirm since the bill to was my name, company address and company credit card number, but shipping somewhere else. I asked how much the charge was for...$946.50.
I went to the lady who monitors our credit cards, someone has used my company credit card to purchase over $13k in cosmetics today. Holy shit!
