This is exactly what happened. He said something racist because he's racist, and his staff is exploiting it to please the base.

I personally don’t think he’s that strategic either. I think there haven’t been any staff denials because he did it in front of Durbin. If it would’ve been a leak about a WH internal meeting, like the last time, SHS would be lying her ass off.
