Jake Tapper tweeted that he heard from a source that Trump said "take them out" (of the deal) about Haitians, and the shithole comment was separate and about people from African countries.
You know, bc obviously that makes it not as bad.
To clarify, tapper isn't qualifying it, but that's prob why the pushback from trump.

I agree that you can be angry but not surprised. I have not doubt that he refers to people this way in private, but the fact that he can't even censor himself in a room full of politicians is not only disgusting but terrifying. I agree that there is no way that he did this intentionally to deflect, he is not that smart. He slipped up. If he is prone to slipping up this way who knows how he will manage to eff stuff up in the future?
ETA: unless of course someone on his staff told him to do this. I would consider that as a possibility.

I know I've been MIA, but it's been a rough few weeks and I need to drop this somewhere. I'm sorry for taking a dump in this thread. I miss you guys, I just can't take the political stuff right now.

My mom has advanced cancer and we made the decision to move to hospice care yesterday. On top of this, tomorrow is my anniversary of a d&c from my last loss. I can't stop thinking about how if we are lucky enough to have another child, my mom won't meet them. I should have a 6 month old right now. I'm just so sad.
