I'm in the west valley! I was specifically trying to time conception so I wouldn't be 9 months pregnant in the summer again, but baby took its sweet time of course. I was in SC for my last pregnancy, and it was so humid in the swamps where we lived I thought I would die. 120 here is worse. I’m in the West Valley as well. We tried for an April/May baby and alas here I am with and end of July baby. My daughter is also a July baby. Swimming pools become your best friend. May is the best month to have a baby IMO. Winter was over and not quite summer yet. It was still 60-70s and perfect. DD was born end of August. 😐 I rarely left the house and kept the thermostat at 67°. Eta: I realize southern states might already be hot by then. May was a perfect time to have a baby in IN.

I agree that May was the perfect month to have a baby, but I am excited about getting to wear some pretty maternity dresses. I feel like last time I just lived in sweaters and long sleeve tunics.

apologies in advance if you're still nauseated: Taco Bell Is Finally Adding Fries to Its Menuthis sounds absolutely delightful for my inevitable 2nd-trimester-and-i-want-to-eat-everything-in-sight phase. after having been to del taco on the west coast, DH and i have been wondering when taco bell was going to get on the french fry bandwagon.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it. I have an appointment on the 9th and I plan to ask the Dr about the pains and if insufficient cervix is something I should worry about or we can keep an eye on. Not sure if this will make you feel any better, but I'm also getting these pains already. Figured it might be a 3rd child thing! It was really bad with the last pregnancy, probably because DS was huge. We went on a vacation at 7m pregnant and the hotel pool was SO wonderful for relieving the pressure. I plan to spend as much time as possible in the pool this summer.

I'm already looking forward to using our condo complex pool as soon as they start heating it (So Cal, so it's never closed, but they don't heat it between the time changes) Our hot tub has been open, and I'm VERY jealous that my DD and dad got to go for a warm swim this week!

I have been so hungry today. I'm going to have to start boiling eggs every few days to bave one with breakfast or something. A bowl of cereal and melon this morning kept me full for about one hour.

I'm dreading the summer. It will be over 100 degrees. Ugh.

❤ notmoose I get the analyzing every little pain and feeling. I'm trying to tell myself that there's a lot going on in that area so there's bound to be some weird twinges.

Back to work today after a 4-day weekend. And it'll be an even shorter work week for me as I'm taking the day off Friday for DD's tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. I told my first pregnancy white lie yesterday. It was more of an omission. My hairstylist asked if we were still thinking about a fourth and all I said was yes. I have a terrible poker face so I hate when people bring up the subject during the first trimester. I have straight lied to many people at work when they ask are you having a 3rd. It so ackward when some asks out of the blue Maybe I am already pregnant...🙄

As soon as I got my bfp, DH turned our hot tub down to 100 so that I can still use it safely. So nice to have our own so we can adjust the temperature! Of course, right now it's a little too chilly to get in there ☹️

Thanks everyone for the reassurances and thoughts.
I did find baby's HB today for a good minute. I looked higher than normal... I didn't think my uterus was above my pubic bone yet but it must be. Baby must be hanging out at the very top.

notmoose, Glad you found the heartbeat and sorry for all the weird feels - I have lots of weird zings throughout the day and I do my best to just ignore and go about my day, but damn it's hard not to over-analyze sometimes.

My spotting is still going on. Like you, goldenbird, I feel I've become very blah and at times pessimistic about it. I have another appointment tomorrow with my OB and I'm going to ask for an ultrasound or to try a doppler (but I think it's too early for that) just to make sure all is well in there. I held off telling my parents because I'm just not confident enough yet, but maybe after this appointment I'll be ready...

So all the schools are closed tomorrow, which means preschool is too. I doubt the OB office will close (we only got about 1/2 an inch of snow), so now I get to take my 2yo and 5yo to my appt with me. Fun, fun, can't wait!

Hugsto all that are struggling
I still have a lot of food aversion but I'm also hungry and struggling to figure out what sounds good. I need to get more lettuce because the only consistant craving I've had so far is salad and hard boiled eggs. I need to get out my Instant Pot and hard boil some more eggs too.

notmoose I also had a May IN baby and it was much better than my Oct CA baby (especially miserable when I visited IN during that summer). I have a feeling the humidity will kill me in OH this time.

I always thought an April/May baby would be perfect! My first child was born end of July. We were trying for a spring baby but alas, it didn't work out, so here I am.

I've had a Feb and a July baby and July was wonderful (especially in comparison to Feb!) It isn't flu season for awhile after you have the baby and you can go out and walk and enjoy the summer. To be fair, I'm in CT so we have beautiful summers, I probably wouldn't feel this way in the south. I'm very excited to have another summer baby.

I have grand plans of taking down all the tree ornaments and Christmas decor today. I want to just leave mine up all year. It's soooo much work to take the million ornaments off, wrap them, put them in the tub, beads and lights off, take the tree apart. Ugh The year I was pregnant with ds I didn't take the tree down until April. 🙈

notmoose, I understand. I had the energy on New Years day but my girls begged me to leave it one more week. Now that energy is gone and the tree may be here for awhile.
