I second the Doppler. My first pregnancy I found the heartbeat at 10 weeks and this pregnancy was 9 weeks so if you choose to use the Doppler, I’d keep your expectations low. Also if you have a placenta that’s in front (can’t remember what that’s called) I’ve heard it takes longer to find heartbeat. If you think you’d freak out with the Doppler and not finding the heartbeat, I’d wait.

I just found the hb a couple of days ago for the first time and I'll be 11w tomorrow. I just kept getting my pulse when I tried.

We got above 0 today. Feels like a heat wave. On the pregnancy side of things, my c section incision hurts. It did most of the time this early on with my last pregnancy. Bleh.

The entire country is in a deep freeze, meanwhile AZ is 75 today. My allergies are killinggggg me. We live right next to cotton fields and they just recently harvested it, so it's dying down but still. I wouldn't mind a nice drop in temp for a bit. goldenbird, cara, I hope the time passes quickly and you both get positive results at your first appt! We had our NT scan today, but our insurance changed and I did not know, but H did and he decided the best place for our new cards was in our filing cabinet, so he had to run back home to get them and text me the new policy number and missed the u/s and I had to wrangle a toddler while the tech tried to take measurements. And then the lab tech couldn't find my veins and stuck me twice and rolled my vein 42190 times before I was like just use my hand pleeeeease. Flip side, everything looks good so far! Baby was literally bouncing off the walls. Due date got bumped up 3 days. My next appt is 2/1 and apparently we're finding out the gender then. In a month. It seems so soon.

Back to work today after a 4-day weekend. And it'll be an even shorter work week for me as I'm taking the day off Friday for DD's tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy.
I told my first pregnancy white lie yesterday. It was more of an omission. My hairstylist asked if we were still thinking about a fourth and all I said was yes. I have a terrible poker face so I hate when people bring up the subject during the first trimester.

I will be 12 weeks tomorrow and it took me 20 mins to find baby last night. So, beware that if you don't find the HB it doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong. Baby could be hiding, you could have an anterior placenta, or you might not be looking in the right spot. I love my doppler and it's saved my sanity but beware it can cause some anxiety too.

Thank God for telework days! I feel like crap today with nausea and exhaustion. There is no way I'd be able to make it through an entire day in the office. I hope I either feel better tomorrow or that this snow we're expecting actually comes through so I can telework again tomorrow.

I think right now I’m glad I live in Phoenix, but ask me again in a few months if I still feel the same.

I'm having a bad day anxiety-wise. I have been proud of myself for how well I've been coping this pregnancy, but today's not a good day.
PGAL brain sucks. I'm having occasional sharp pains in my vagina and I'm spiraling on insufficient cervix and what ifs and just ugh.

I’ve never had it so I’m not sure how to explain it but I wonder if what you are explaining could be it? Have you had insufficient cervix before?

We have to be so hyper aware of everything. I feel like it sometimes does more harm than good.

That's what it feels like but ive never had it this early. I've never had insufficient cervix but with my son I was told it was "shortish" at 22 weeks. Nothing came of that, I made it to term. But that doesn't stop my brain from latching onto these bad thoughts.

I think right now I’m glad I live in Phoenix, but ask me again in a few months if I still feel the same. I'm in the west valley! I was specifically trying to time conception so I wouldn't be 9 months pregnant in the summer again, but baby took its sweet time of course. I was in SC for my last pregnancy, and it was so humid in the swamps where we lived I thought I would die. 120 here is worse.

Luckily, our gym does so I guess I'll be living there this summer. Yeah, DD was born Aug 3.

(( notmoose)) PGAL anxiety is tough. Is an insufficient cervix an issue you’ve dealt with before? ETA - I see you answered above. Doh.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it.
I have an appointment on the 9th and I plan to ask the Dr about the pains and if insufficient cervix is something I should worry about or we can keep an eye on.
