Not even that weather has kept people away from the library - its been the busiest its been in a few weeks. I'm going to stick with my emergency lunch stash of ramen or chef boyardee though. |

So my H did well on Christmas. He got me actual original copies of the NY Gazette newspaper from 1850 chronicling the first Women's Rights conference in America.

Mine got me a few movies I use in school and I may be more excited about not having to share with other teachers than I am about all my other gifts combined. S/O how things went on Christmas, my mom and aunt started talking about all the women coming forward with sexual allegations and why didn't they come out sooner and just wanting attention and blah blah blah. It was very hard not to blow my top, but I had a few stern things to say. Arghhh! |

Is there a way to do positive stories on food stamps and other programs that show how they are used the majority of the time and how they help people? Like even get a hashtag going or something? Most of what is reported seems to be this kind of Fox News bootstrap stuff or when states legislate what can and cannot be bought with food stamps. I wish there were a way to show the hugely positive effect things like food stamps can have.
