Thanks everyone. She’s still not a great sleeper but I think we’ll keep her anyway. She’s awfully cute.

cagoldi I’m sorry about the boys, hope they feel better tomorrow. Any chance your dad could come to your place if the boys are still under the weather? He's hosting the family party so he wouldn't leave during that. He'd probably come by early Christmas Day. X woke up looking and sounding like he is 100%, but Dude is still sleeping so we'll see.

If any of you girls are wanting to move... Rural towns are trying to get Americans to move dailym.ai/2DCftze nam2013 I've actually been to the first two small towns. The problem with those areas, (I lived sort of near them growing up) they can be great to live there property/tax wise but there are no jobs. You either need to be a farmer or start a business that will be successful. It sucks that these little towns are dying but between the weather and giving up conveniences like fast food and movie theaters, people are moving away. Oh and plus there is a town in Italy offering way more money to move there. I would rather move there. Sorry that was longer the. I intended. I would maybe actually move to these places (except Alaska). At first I was thinking nope, you couldn't drag me to a red state but none of the other three are, so I'd be game. But Pete and I could work anywhere remotely, and that's not an option for most people so like you said, there's not much point if you can't find a job.

Oh! We are going to my bffs for Christmas dinner tomorrow night. She asked me to bring a 'healthy' sweet potato casserole. The one I typically make has a ton of suger and butter on it. And I haven't been shopping. Any ideas for something quick and easy? Or even better someplace I can pick a ready made one up on Christmas or Christmas Eve? Maryland/D.C. Folks I'll be in the Chevy chase area for most of the day, then driving up to Columbia, if you know of anything local!! Thx I haven't made it, but Minimalist Baker has a recipe for sweet potato casserole. Don't know how quick and easy it is but everything is vegan so I wouldn't automatically say it's "healthy," but almost certainly a lightened up version.

klong11 ugh that sucks to know. We’re already having to force it down his throat and it cost $250. I don’t even think it’s making him feel any better. Any time I have seen a doctor for myself or my kids when influenza is suspected they basically tell me tamiflu only cuts the illness by 1 day so it isn’t “worth it”. I don’t think any of us have actually ever been tested for the flu either. I didn’t realize it was so expensive, that sucks! Yeah, that's an outrageous price tag. Apparently I'm supposed to use it now if I get the flu because of my immunodeficiency, but if my copay is $250 each time I'm not sure I'm likely to do it. I also didn't know it was that rough on your stomach. Hope M turns a corner soon, margaerytyrell.

Happy birthday to Z, snoopmommymom. Time flies! Hope C's meds kick in and he's feeling better soon, chrisy01. Glad you caught it before it could progress to pneumonia.

I don't remember the details, but remember ggandlee saying she rarely recommends it and would not take it herself. I think she said side effects are pretty bad and make it not worth it since it doesn't seem to help the flu much.

I didn't mean to post and run before. But my Peapod order came and the cream cheese was missing, so I couldn't make cheesecake. I had to go to the grocery store and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Josie and I delivered presents to the neighbors; I baked, and I'm about to start getting ready for this afternoons festivities. This is the first time we've ever done this holiday in the afternoon at my aunts house, so I'm sure the vibe will be different, but I'm very excited that will be home before bedtime! And I'm also super excited for all the fish and seafood!

Happy Christmas Eve loves!! I hope all the sick kiddos make quick recoveries! We just finished cleaning and now I’m curling my hair, doing makeup and trying to decide if I can squeeze into a non maternity dress. Our best friends are coming over with their kids and her parents for “brunch”. Basically we’re goi g to eat all day and they will drink all day (jealous. So jealous).
I did a bulk of our wrapping g last night so hopefully today will be relaxed!

Hoping for less cranky kids and getting them to bed on time! It makes such a difference, doesn't it? We have been leaving early for the last couple of years and we always miss the tail end of presents or dessert, too, because of it.

Making spaghetti sauce and watching moana. Christmas with the ils was fun last night except for a minor incident with my FIL. We have my mom's family over tonight. Which is always loud and drama filled..

Cadence and I survived the store, although I wasn't sure we would make it out of the baking aisle without the blue cake mix Cadence kept grabbing off the shelf. Not too busy and everyone was super friendly. Cadence told our friend at Starbucks Merry Christmas. It's an older gentleman who is usually there with his old chocolate lab. She was upset when we pulled up and they weren't outside, but he was sitting inside today. He always makes a point to say hi to her and ask how gymnastics is going.

I sent M & MH to church and I stayed with H. He’s still napping. MH & I are fighting, sort of, so I’m sure he thought I wanted to stay home because of that. Whatever.
We’re supposed to all meet at 12:30 for brunch. I can’t wait for some mimosas.
