If any of you girls are wanting to move... Rural towns are trying to get Americans to move dailym.ai/2DCftze nam2013 I've actually been to the first two small towns. The problem with those areas, (I lived sort of near them growing up) they can be great to live there property/tax wise but there are no jobs. You either need to be a farmer or start a business that will be successful. It sucks that these little towns are dying but between the weather and giving up conveniences like fast food and movie theaters, people are moving away. Oh and plus there is a town in Italy offering way more money to move there. I would rather move there. Sorry that was longer the. I intended.

So C has had a really nasty cough that took a turn for the worse yesterday. He has a tendency to get pneumonia so I made him go to urgent care. He messaged me that they took him in right away because of his history. Well it's not pneumonia but bronchitis.
I just wish I didn't have to force him to go see a doctor when he's like this. He knows once something hits his lungs he always gets super sick but he always delays it until it turns into something bigger.

guster I feel you. Hope your day improves from this point on. Once he's up and not screaming, I'm usually fine, but mh takes so much longer to recover from a bad wake up or my initial frustration that he basically ruins the morning for himself (and in effect me) We don't have tons of early wake ups but when we do, MH is so ridiculous. He'll talk all day about how early he got up with the kids and how tired he is. Spoiler - my kids often both sleep well past 7, so 'early' for him is a 6:30 wake up. The drama is strong with him

If any of you girls are wanting to move... Rural towns are trying to get Americans to move dailym.ai/2DCftzeSad that Baltimore is lumped in that group. We'd move there without incentive if I got a job there, but we would not be moving into a previously vacant building.

I’ve been to new haven and we’ve talked about moving to the east coast of the us. This was prior to kids. I’m not sure either my parents or ds would survive if I were to separate them...

chrisy01 O has a cough too and yesterday a low grade fever. How did you determine that he needed to see a dr? I have a nebulizer from when O used to get bronchitis, So i have that available if he needs it. I feel like i can never tell which cough is in his lungs. When i take him in thinking the cough is bad they usually tell me it’s lost nasal drip and not in his chest.

Oh! We are going to my bffs for Christmas dinner tomorrow night. She asked me to bring a 'healthy' sweet potato casserole. The one I typically make has a ton of suger and butter on it. And I haven't been shopping. Any ideas for something quick and easy? Or even better someplace I can pick a ready made one up on Christmas or Christmas Eve? Maryland/D.C. Folks I'll be in the Chevy chase area for most of the day, then driving up to Columbia, if you know of anything local!!
Thx

H still has a fever. It was 100.9 when I took it this morning. I’m debating on whether to take him to church or not. I’d like to just send M & MH. We can just meet them at brunch so H can nap as long as he wants.

Then it got a deeper lung sound that more should have started coming up but not. Plus more frequent. C has had pneumonia 4 times since we've been married so I try to pay attention. He was hospitalized the 1st time so now all I have to say to him that it's starting to sound/act like pneumonia and he calls for appointments or goes to urgent care. He did not like the bill for the hospital.

klong11 ugh that sucks to know. We’re already having to force it down his throat and it cost $250. I don’t even think it’s making him feel any better.

Any time I have seen a doctor for myself or my kids when influenza is suspected they basically tell me tamiflu only cuts the illness by 1 day so it isn’t “worth it”. I don’t think any of us have actually ever been tested for the flu either. I didn’t realize it was so expensive, that sucks!

trtlcrzy I was thinking the same thing. Is it even worth it? I have crappy state teacher insurance with a high prescription deductible so that is probably why it cost so much. And M’s flu test came back negative so all this mess for a possible flu.

We got into IOP yesterday and had a nice dinner out last night. DH did a great job picking out the beach house we’re renting, I would live here full time! Not sure what’s on tap for today, other than our Christmas Eve party tonight. Also, we put up our fake tree yesterday—I was pretty pleased that for a total of about $60 (including decorations) it turned out ok. Then everyone put their gifts underneath. Other than a handful for myself and DH (from each other) this is all for our kids (and there are more not in this pic). 😳 We are going to need a UHaul to get home.
