I downloaded the habit bull and set my goals: 1. Exercise 5x/week 2. Follow my meal plan each day 3. Clean the kitchen (every other day right now) 4. Clean the bathroom (every other day) 5. Put x amount of money in the savings (1x per month, since I get paid 1x per month)
I kept the default 66 days but I may change all but #5 to the end of January and see how it goes from there.

This was a really great article! Thanks, and I’m really glad that you’re back and sorry that you struggled. None of this mom/adult stuff is easy.

Ok I'm doing monthly goals that I hope build on each other. This month easing myself back in
1. Logging food 2. Drink 65 oz of water a day 3. No snacking after work. 4. Take time for myself daily even if that just means a walk on lunch

@spiff , I’m thinking about trying out WW. In terms of habits, my goal will just be to actually track my nutrition. I probably won’t start until February, though, because we are traveling a lot in January and I don’t want to worry too much about calories on vacation. I am actually liking it so far! It's only been 2 days but... I am seeing good things from it, I think it's something I may be able to stick to. There are a lot of "free" foods you can snack on for when the hunger creeps in before meals....fruits and veggies of course, but also eggs, boneless skinless chicken breast, beans, etc... a lot of 0 point foods that make it so much easier to follow. I've just always loved how WW seems more realistic and doesn't exclude anything.... and it's good for people like me that eat out a lot. (which, I want to do less of ultimately but... one thing at a time) The zero point options make it so much more appealing to me. It sounds like they have really expanded them since the last time I did WW.

They did Minerva, it's a HUGE list of zero foods. It's almost hard to believe. Like... really? I don't have to count eggs or beans? boneless/skinless chicken breast? (as long as there isnt anything else fatty added to them of course, then there's points)

But anyway, even after just 2.5 days, I'm already feeling ... I duno... better/lighter ? Could just be placebo affect haha. Also I just came off the menses so that probably helps with the bloated feeling

It have been feeling lighter too. Honestly it is true though. You may not have lost anything, but if you are not eating things that are bloating you then you will feel lighter. Plus water if you are drinking that instead of pop and the carbonation that makes you full.

Hey guys! This is my weekly check-in. I’d love to hear how you did this week, what worked and what didn’t, what you want to keep the same, and what you might want to change. If you’re not comfortable discussing something here, please feel free to PM me. angelashly, Emmentaler, rvasc, coconutbacon, Tlex, @spiff, stampingqueen, GhoatMonket, copperboom, CestLaVie, loony, Radley, Minerva

I don't think I mentioned last week's goals here. Eat breakfast every day. Hula hoop twice. Take my lunch to work each day.
I hit my two food goals but I never hooped. My hula hoop is on my back porch and it needs to be brought in to warm up before can use it. I did well overall for the week though. I did eat fast food yesterday at my parents house but that was planned.

Thanks for the check-in thisbitch! I did pretty well this week: -Hit my water goal every day -Read offline every day -Did yoga every day -Ran at least 3 miles 4 days (plus did spin or lap swimming on the off days) I also stayed on track with healthy eating. The place where I fell off was trying to work on a creative project. I’d just... run out of time or steam. I think I may need to cut one of my other habits (yoga or reading) from daily to just a multiple times/ week thing, in order to make time for that.

I think each week I will add more goals.
Eat breakfast. Take my lunch. Hula hoop twice (let's see if I can do it this time...) Do 10 squats each day Use lotion after my shower (this is a dumb one but I don't always remember and I need to get back in the habit)

I’ve actually stuck to my meal plan and done my workouts every day this week except 1, and that was only for one meal. I’ve kept up with the cleaning as well. I’ve noticed since I started doing it, DH is helping more as well, so I’m pretty happy so far.
This week is my first full week of work since mid December, so I’m trying to be positive about keeping all of this up once “real life” hits.

I got everything (water, moisturize, no alcohol on work nights) except being over on calories a couple days. They weren't horribly over, but outside of the range I gave myself.
I will probably add avoiding fast food.

So last week’s goals were 1) eat a healthy breakfast every morning (I have been skipping breakfast for the most part for years). 2) put No Bite on my nails (I take my anxiety out on my nails) and to avoid biting them. 3) hard workout 3x a week.
I managed 1&2 but I only got 2 days of workout in due to a sick kiddo.

I am off to a slow start. I hit my hydration goals, but missed doing cardio and PT twice. I really need to prioritize the PT, so that’s my main goal this week. Eating enough fruits and veggies is fine as long as we stick to our meal plan, so I need to be a stickler about that and not give into the lure of easy pizza.

I did well on my 10 minute tidy up and ATAD. Those are very doable when I focus on doing them, and it improves my mental state when my house is cleaner. I also managed the produce (fruit or veg) with every meal.
I didn’t hit my workout goals, in part because the first two days of the week I was in vacation and the gym (studio) was closed two days due to the weather. I also didn’t meet my drinking goal, which was to only drink one night per week- I ended up drinking both Friday and Saturday.
I think my goals are doable, and I am happy with my progress (though it wasn’t perfect), so I am keeping my same goals for next week.

I hit them all. Probably could have been better about taking time for myself and the water so I'm going to keep working on it

1. I did really well with meal prep! 2. I took my vitamins every day 3. Had sex exactly 0 times lol but oh well (was aiming for a few times a week) 4. Worked out twice. Not bad, not great! 5. Meditated twice. So I'm doing okish which is what I was hoping for since I was doing no things before haha.

I would really prefer to workout in the morning, but I already have to get up at 5:45 for work, and I have a really hard time with a 5 am wake up.

CestLaVie, I think ok-ish is great. I’m hoping for this to be focused on creating long term habits, not to start the year with gusto, aiming to change everything about yourself (only me?), and burning out a couple of weeks in.

I hit all my goals last week:
No marketplace purchases at work. Brought lunch to work everyday. Filled up my water bottle 4 times each day.
I have these goals set for 66 days in the app, so they're still the same this week. Although I might add going to bed before 10pm to as a goal for this week as well. I get up at 4:45am for work each day and it's a miracle if I am in bed before 10pm. I need more sleep.

Well I did jack shit for exercise. I just don't have the energy right now. Four month sleep regression can kiss my ass.
I did well with the others on my list.

Thanks for tag, TB.
We stretched 4 nights - which was my realistic goal.
Managed no alcohol during week - including Friday but over indulged on Sat.
I meditated only twice but am Ok with that for now.
Mindful spending- so-so. I thought about two purchases and recognized I didn’t really need them and they weren’t on the budget but bought them anyway. I did resist a few other things so not the worst by definitely room for improvement.

Also, for my former WLCers, I saw today that they changed the challenge from 8 to 6 weeks. I hadn’t consciously noticed, but I was like, why did I always think it was 8 weeks and it’s only 6.
