We are on our way home. Sierra did so good for her EEG. The techs were talking about how good she was being and how awful some kids can be while getting hooked up. We should hear something in the next day or two.

Speaking of nieces...or nephews...would this be a good time to mention my sister is expecting? I've been sitting on my hands b/c I didn't want to jinx them, but they're starting to tell people. Their first round of IVF took and she's due July 1!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s great news! I’m so happy for them!

wineallthetime that is a lot of changes for a grown up, let alone a two year old. I think what you doing is great. I loved when my parents took ds for a day, I could get some baby snuggles from dd and ds would get 100% undivided attention. Even if it’s just for an hour or so (if you’re close by). By the way, back to work after five days 😳?!

Santa has a paper for us. And I like to wrap so I don't miss any reactions. I'm trying to have Santa only bring a couple toys bc I'm worried about kids comparing what santa brought. So each us getting 2 from Santa this year, anything else is from us. Are you having your kids get people presents? Or siblings get each other gifts? We do have the kids get gifts for immediate family. SD has been awkward over the years and sometimes shops with her mom and sometimes with us. I've ended up asking of she wants to give X gift to X person orv if she has something in mind already. E picked out ornaments at a christmas market for everyone. I think it is important for the kids to think about giving to others during this time of asking for stuff. Also thinking about w what someone else wants/likes. There are many ways this can be done like sib or family gifts.

flamingo huge congrats to you and your sister! How exiting! Ps can’t remember in which thread I read it, but I can imagine you and Kate bonding over pretty classic kids clothes and home deco .

My MIL wraps everything in the stockings too. I always thought it was weird. She doesn’t do stockings for us or the kids (actually she never did one for me, just DH). What's weird is that she only does one for yh and not you and the kids... She did it for just DH until H was born (I think) and then gave me his stocking that year. She would get me a little something but never put it in a stocking. She doesn’t do them at all now.

You know what makes me feel a million years older than all of you bitches? I am a great aunt. I still need to get a gift for my great-niece. Maybe some hard candies and a few shiny pennies. It's cool. I am, too. He was born the day after H. lol.

My sister and BIL have a 2 year old, 1 month old and just opened a restaurant like 1.5 months ago. Both kids are sleeping horribly, my BIL has been working INSANE hours and my sister had her first day back to work 5 days after giving birth. They're beyond exhausted and the 2 year old is acting....well, like a 2 year old who has had a ton of changes. I want to do something for them, but not sure what. I have the 2 year old today so my sister can run errands and spend time with the baby, but I can't think of anything else to do for them. a sleep training for toddlers book.....kidding.
She better slow down; hormones, healing, newborn, sleep deprivation, restaurant stress are all ingredients for a crash, poor girl.
Back to the question, house cleaner, grocery delivery, or send tgrimes there to make freezer meals
Will there be wine? If so, I'm on board.

She moved from FL last year and thought because she still has a FL license, she couldn't register. I still have my FL license, and I am registered. I think it bugs me more that she didn't even look it up up. Do you not see the filth that is RM?? This weekend, some of his supporters were holding up signs in the busiest shopping center here and as I passed, I rolled my window down and booed them. Had I not had a cookie in my other hand, I would have flipped them off. #classy

I mean, on one hand I guess I prefer people who are uneducated on the issues not vote, but come on. Educate yourself and vote! So important.

Work has been nuts today but I *think* I put together world's weirdest workaround for one of our biggest/highest profile clients and I booked the restaurant for our office holiday party. I can go home now, right??
I actually started the day off terribly. There's still so much snow on the ground and it's so dark when I get up to run, so I've been sticking to the treadmill the last few days. I got a few miles into my run this morning and suddenly felt really terrible. I kept trudging on without feeling any better when I remembered that I GAVE BLOOD YESTERDAY. Duh, this was NOT the day for a tough workout. Whoops.

Oooh also my sister got engaged over the weekend. She's going to be a stepmom. And a step grandmom. The oldest grandkid is 20... But she's happy and he seems stable enough, though certainly crazy. At least he doesn't seem mean crazy like her ex husband.

Hi loves! Wow, you guys are chatty today!!! So I baked all day yesterday and came up way short for the amount I need to gift out, so I repeated the whole process today. I should be done today, but I have made approximately 20 dozen cookies,3 lbs of almonds and 4 batches of toffee. I also think I should repeat this in a few weeks because I’ve been having pretty strong contractions since yesterday, although nothing timetable so I’m sure they are Braxton Hicks! Let’s see: Christmas. We do stockings and open them first. We make the kids wait and all go downstairs together but then we all do stockings while mom and dad get coffee. I wrap some of the stuff in stockings but leave candy and whatnot unwrapped. Then we take turns opening presents. I go way overboard on presents, I can’t help it I love all the gifts under the tree and I love shopping for people. I usually do about 6-8 gifts per kid and dh and then a few that are for all the boys. (Not all toys, clothes and books too). I try to split an even number between us and Santa and Santa’s gifts have a special wrapping paper. I always have a few things unwrapped from Santa, usually the bigger gifts. Oh, and dh and I do Santa gifts to each other too. flamingo yay! So many congrats to your sis!! And I’m awful about shopping for myself while Christmas shopping. There’s just always so many great deals! The one silver lining to being a million months pregnant is I haven’t shopped for myself nearly as much because nothing would fit!!

Oh that I never get, only random stuff goes in stockings for us - candy, knit knacks, orange, makeup. All nice presents are under the tree. I see "stocking stuffer" ads for jewelry and it doesn't make sense to me. You do an orange too?!? I love it! We always do an orange My dad put them in our stockings growing up. He said it was a real treat to have fresh citrus in the winter in upstate NY (where he lived as a child).

A/S was uneventful.
P has CPCs and they offered me an amniocentesis. I declined. My NITP was good so I remain unconcerned.
I have to go back to the high risk OB once a month for scans. NBD.
