How are those shoes uglier than the pants? At least the pants are comfortable. This is some top level trolling.

This keeps getting weirder and weirder. It was weird when people bought them in the first place, because.... no. Even weirder to sell them. And now this. I feel bad for anyone who genuinely was hurt by it all but omg this stuff is so fug, and has been since the beginning.

My SIL started selling it earlier this year. Her and one of her best friends started their “business”. I tried to talk her out of it, but oh well. She did it for a few months and finally saw the writing on the wall. Her friend bought her out and I *think* may still sell it, but I couldn’t stand he 23 hour straight Live Sales on my Facebook, so I blocked her.

I think you would have to be very drunk on the koolaid to stay with this company now. I understand the initial love. People see something hard to get and jump at the chance to chase a unicorn. It’s human nature. It’s trending. Get me those black leggings. But it is so laughable now. See, this is what I don't understand: for so many of us, this is a pyramid scheme, and it always has been. It's no different than the Ziga, the Arbonne, the Body By Vi, etc etc etc. Why anyone could hop on this train knowing about all of the companies that trended n' died before. The clothes are so cheap and ugly, to boot. Why ANYONE could think this is a good idea is lost on me. Who are the LLR sellers on HIH? SaveSave

I don’t watch them either because I get sooo embarrassed for them. There’s one lady (I think has a huge following) that sells with her husband; like he helps her do live sales. I get SUPER embarrassed for them!

I think companies know how to target certain personality traits.

And there was the promise that they would buy your shit back if you quit for a small restocking fee. I saw it as a limited risk investment. And my sales were there. I paid for full time daycare for a year for 2 kids. As well as other things. However, I resigned during the 100% buyback window. My inventory was already in their warehouse when they changed it all. I have been waiting almost 9 weeks now for them to email me to confirm my refund amount and cut me a check. Others started up during the 100% window because we were told it wasn’t going anywhere and it was made to seem permanent. Those are the ones I feel for. Now they are looking at 90% minus the cost of shipping. For some this equates to thousands of dollars. I won’t say I regret it because it has afforded us some luxuries. But the wave is done. I knew it was temporary and fully intended to get out before the crash from the start. I saw it as a temporary supplement to our income. And it was.

Because it isn’t.

My someone did not, but damn did she hustle for quite a few years. I don’t hear a peep about it anymore, so I’m certain she’s moved on. I do wonder what’s happened to Mercedes girl though. If you (and your down line) don’t make a certain quota, that car payment is on you. I think a lot of people go into it not realizing the ramifications. Also, the payments they do make for you? Taxable income. I mean, it is such a scam.

Yes, a lot of the patterns are fugly, but there are some I like too. To each their own.
I love buying from GOOB because I’m getting some amazing deals - ie, normal/normal sale price for equivalent clothes.

Speaking of mlms, I’m feeling conflicted. There’s a place in town that offers free classes on Thursdays and $6 classes on Monday and Wednesday but you get a shake after (shakes are typically $6). I didn’t realize until I stopped in that it’s a Herbalife place. I don’t really want to support them but surely going to the free class and not buying anything is ok, right?

My friend who is selling is now has started wearing the makeup and it looks horrible and it’s not a selling point!

I think MLMs play really well into the weaknesses and thought patterns of desperate people. Particularly people drowning in debt.
The only cure is education, media literacy, and some basic math lessons. Every MLM ever will crap out at level 13. The limit DOES exist.
