Can we do a food confessions thread? I can't be the only one who has eaten crap from time to time and have felt the need to confess thy foodly (<----- not a real word, but whatevs) sins.

Now that my nausea is getting better, my desire for different foods have kicked in.
Today I had 6 mozzarella sticks from Arby's for lunch and then a pumpkin muffin with cream cheese frosting for dessert, all while drinking a sprite. So, so not healthy, but man it was good.
Last night I had ice cream with M&M's sprinkled on top. I waited until my little ones were in bed to have it so I didn't have to share.

First tri I ate a lot of mcdonalds. Because.... carbs and salt. I couldn't handle meat at all so greasy everything.
We bought a chocolate cake the other day... it was gone the next afternoon.

I am constantly trying to keep myself from candy. All the sweets, all the time. It's awful. Almost nothing I eat is good for me. Yikes.

Oh, this is perfect for today.
I had GD last pregnancy, so I'm trying really hard to be good now. I've been low-carb and high-protein, all pregnancy. A few treats here and there, but pretty much in moderation.
Today: I left work early (I am a gardener and it was super hot and humid, so I played the pregnancy card). I went grocery shopping and then obsessively cleaned my house, and I bought cranberry juice (which I love and have very rarely) and doritos (ditto). I cleaned and ate them all afternoon, and now I feel like death.

Love this topic. I have been eating sugary kids cereal almost everyday. I'm talking fruit loops, honey combs, special k, fruity pebbles. I normally do not buy cereal or if we do it's like Raisin Bran. I'm sure my husband is judging me behind my back, I just feel like I get so much mileage out of the cereal.

All I want is a poke bowl, extra seaweed salad and lot of tobiko. I hate all protein but seafood. I've eaten more crab cakes and fish tacos during this pregnancy than in the last year.
I made an entire funfetti cake with DD just so I could have a piece. I threw 75% of it out.
A coke from McD's is still the best food item ever. A coke from the freestyle machine is second best. Then the Doritos DH ate come in third. And no other Doritos will ever be as good as they could have been in that moment.

Mac and cheese seems to be the only thing I mostly keep down. I did have some mozzarella sticks last week that were really good.

We bought pumpkin spice and red velvet cupcakes as we were walking into the checkout line. It was total impulse and I had a cupcake everyday for 4 days and they were delicious. No regrets.
The biggest thing is that with this new job I have been going to the grocery at like midnight and it has become tradition to buy a pound of gummy bears from the bulk section and then eat them as I shop. And they are gone way faster than they should be. Oops.

It was my birthday last weekend. On Friday night, I had cake and ice cream. On Saturday night, I had a different cake and then we went out for ice cream. Then on Monday, my work bff brought in ice cream for lunch. Also my mom sent the leftover birthday cake home with us so I've been nonstop snacking on that. So sad to see Special K on mirabelle list of sugary cereals. Special K is my jam and I thought maybe it wasn't that bad. Oh well, add that to my list of food confessions bc I eat it basically every morning.

I've been craving sweets this pregnancy, which means I'm a hot mess. Those Little Debbie strawberry shortcake rolls...omg. Hershey Hugs have been a big hit, and the s'mores bark from Trader Joe's that they don't have anymore...
I've been big on the sours too. I trick myself into protein and healthier options (salads or sandwiches) by adding vinaigrette dressing. I balance that out by also craving Sour Patch Kids, which weirdly helped my afternoon/evening-sickness.
I'm clearly always down to talk food.

I crave bacon with cheese on some sort of white junky bread. I have one EVERY morning from Dunkin Donuts or I'll get the McDs version on a biscuit with hashbrowns and OJ on days I drive to work myself.
Other than that - I needed twizzlers the other day, got the king size. DEMOLISHED IT. Then I got sick. RIP Twizzlers. I still love you.
I actually crave salad, but alas, I can't eat it. I get it in front of me, and feel like hurling. So, I end up eating some sort of BLT. Two doses of bacon in one day? YES PLEASE.
Fried foods make me sick, except McDs hashbrowns. I can't even tolerate Chick Fil A. I'm a sad sad sad pregnant lady.
But +1 to a McDs Fountain Coke.

I'm Paleo-ish (no grains, soy, or dairy, but also no nuts) and this baby wants ALL the Mexican food and pizza. I've gone to Moe's 8 times this month for steak salads and chips and queso. OMG the queso.... drool. I've also been getting Udi's GF pepperoni pizza and eating the whole thing 😳
I'm so shocked I haven't had a major allergic flare up (I'm Paleo for health reasons). I'm going with it because apparently it's what my body wants and needs since I seem to be doing ok. I know that allergies can change during pregnancy, sometimes for the better (with my first it was for the worse!) But I'm just keeping it limited to what I am having serious cravings for.
I also have been indulging in Snickers bars and Coke Zero, maybe twice a week.

I didn't think I had any... but I guess mine is that I'm still eating sushi. My OB's rule is once or twice a month, NO TUNA. He's more concerned about the carbs in the rice, than the unsafe fish. But he's a sushi eater, too. We run into him almost every time that we go, it's almost crazy.
ETA: I ran to the grocery store today for grapes, bananas & carrots. I left with dark chocolate chips, Craisins, Munchos chips, and lemon curd. I'm leaning towards making oatmeal cookies with the chocolate chips & Craisins, but I haven't decided yet. But, I fully plan on spreading the lemon curd over Trefoils cookies later this afternoon.

I'm the opposite at the moment. I gained about 50lbs my first 2 pregnancies, but this one I don't have an appetite and am actually struggling to make myself eat enough food, and since I'm not craving anything I am better about eating well (sometimes).

I've been eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch for breakfast. Every.single.day. Other than that, I'm usually pretty good. Although yianna's bacon talk reminded me that last weekend I ate bacon for 3 meals straight (dinner Saturday night, then breakfast and lunch on Sunday). Whoops.

This is why I look forward to the 3rd trimester. I loosen the food restrictions. It doesn't bother me to avoid soft cheese or lunch meat (oops, had some last week), but the sushi and poke is the hardest to abstain from eating.
